Glentana Mobile Home Community Introduce
For local users in the Rossville, Georgia area exploring "RV parks near me" as a potential avenue for long-term housing, Glentana Mobile Home Community, located at 1007 Glentana St, Rossville, GA 30741, USA, presents a mixed picture based on recent resident reviews. While initially described as a "quiet neighborhood" where "people keep to themselves," more recent feedback raises significant concerns regarding changes in management and the overall direction of the community. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based solely on the provided reviews, highlighting both the positive aspects and the reported challenges.
The initial positive feedback describes the environment of Glentana Mobile Home Community as a "quiet neighborhood" where residents generally "keep to themselves." This suggests a potentially peaceful and private living environment, which can be appealing to those seeking a low-key residential setting. The reviewer also notes that management, while sometimes "a little slow to respond because of the amount of work they have," does eventually address resident concerns within a "fairly good time frame." This indicates that while there might be occasional delays, there is an effort to attend to the needs of the community. The mention of ongoing work ("They're doing a lot of work so it should only get better") suggests potential improvements or upgrades within the community.
However, the second review paints a starkly different picture, attributing a decline in the community's quality to changes in ownership and management. The reviewer reminisces about a time "back when mr alison was running this places was the best thing ever," highlighting a significant downturn since his retirement and the subsequent sale of the property. The current state is described as a "disaster," leading to many residents moving out due to the perceived mismanagement. This drastic shift in sentiment raises serious concerns about the current living conditions and the overall stability of the community.
Specific allegations of mismanagement include having "3 different managers all trying to evict people who have been living here for many years just so they can take out the old mobile homes and put new ones in that they cant even sell." These are serious accusations that suggest a potentially unstable and contentious environment for long-term residents. The implication is that the management is prioritizing the replacement of older homes, possibly at the expense of existing residents, which could create significant stress and uncertainty for those living in the community.
Furthermore, the reviewer advises against contacting the management, stating that "their prices will blow ur mind and really try up charging you for no reason." This suggests potential issues with transparency and fairness in pricing, which could be a significant deterrent for prospective residents. The accusation of "up charging you for no reason" is particularly concerning as it implies potentially unethical or unreasonable billing practices.
In terms of services and features, the reviews offer limited direct information. The initial review's mention of ongoing work suggests that the management might be investing in improvements to the infrastructure or amenities of the community. However, the second review's negative portrayal overshadows this, focusing instead on the perceived mismanagement and potential eviction practices. Typically, mobile home communities offer essential services such as water, electricity, and sewage hookups for individual lots, as well as waste management and maintenance of communal areas. However, the reliability and quality of these services under the current management are not clear from the provided reviews.
Features of the park, such as recreational facilities, community centers, or specific amenities for residents, are not mentioned in either review. The focus is primarily on the management and the overall atmosphere of the neighborhood. The contrast between the initial description of a quiet neighborhood and the later depiction of a "disaster" under new management suggests that the community's features and services might have been negatively impacted by these changes, or that the positive aspects are no longer outweighing the management concerns for many residents.
Promotional information is absent in the provided reviews, which is not surprising given the negative feedback regarding the current state of the community. It is unlikely that the management would be actively promoting the park under such circumstances. Potential residents should be extremely cautious and rely on thorough personal investigation rather than any potential advertisements.
For local users in Rossville seeking "RV parks near me" who might be considering a mobile home community for longer-term living, Glentana Mobile Home Community presents a situation that requires careful consideration and thorough investigation. While it was once regarded as a quiet neighborhood, recent reviews indicate significant issues with new management, including allegations of unfair eviction practices and questionable pricing. The stark contrast between past and present experiences suggests a community undergoing significant and potentially negative changes.
Prospective residents should approach Glentana Mobile Home Community with extreme caution. It is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence, which should include visiting the property, attempting to speak with current residents to gain firsthand perspectives on the current living conditions and management practices, and carefully reviewing any lease agreements and community rules. Given the serious allegations raised in the reviews, relying solely on information provided by the management would be ill-advised.
In conclusion, the available reviews for Glentana Mobile Home Community in Rossville, GA, paint a concerning picture of a community that has reportedly declined under new management. While it was once a quiet neighborhood, current residents express significant concerns about potential eviction practices, pricing, and the overall stability of the community. Local users exploring housing options should proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough independent research, and weigh the potential benefits of a quiet location against the serious management-related issues reported by current and former residents.

Quiet neighborhood, people keep to themselves. Management can be a little slow to respond because of the amount of work they have but they always get to you in a fairly good time frame. They're doing a lot of work so it should only get better.
