Granite Mobile Home Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a mobile home community in a serene natural setting near Woodstock, Maryland? Granite Mobile Home Park, located at 10600 Davis Ave OFFICE, Woodstock, MD 21163, USA, offers a unique living experience with direct access to the beauty of Patapsco State Forest. While no phone number is provided in the available information, its location suggests a potentially tranquil environment for those seeking a connection with nature. However, it's important to consider both the positive aspects and potential concerns raised by the limited customer reviews.
One reviewer describes Granite Mobile Home Park as "beautiful," emphasizing its advantageous location backing up to the expansive Patapsco State Forest. This proximity offers residents unparalleled access to outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, nature walks, and enjoying the natural scenery. The reviewer further highlights the exceptional quietness of the park, noting that "you can hear a pin drop," creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. This tranquility is likened to "camping every night," suggesting a strong connection with nature and a departure from typical urban noise.
Another significant benefit mentioned is the opportunity for stargazing. The absence of city lights allows for "stars for miles and miles," a feature that would be particularly appealing to astronomy enthusiasts or anyone who appreciates the beauty of the night sky. This further underscores the park's location away from densely populated areas, contributing to its quiet and natural ambiance.
Regarding the upkeep of the park, the reviewer notes that it is "mostly clean and neat," which is a positive aspect for the overall living environment. However, they also point out inconsistencies, mentioning "a few people that don't care about trashiness." This suggests that while a general standard of cleanliness is maintained, there might be isolated instances of neglect. The reviewer also expresses an opinion that the "Owners of the Park should be more demanding of fixing up yards and homes," indicating a potential variability in the aesthetic appeal and maintenance of individual lots within the community.
In terms of community dynamics, the reviewer mentions that "Most people are good people in here," fostering a positive sense of community among the majority of residents. However, they also highlight a potential issue with a "few that need to get a hobby because they are more interested in tattle tailing and spying on what you're doing and reporting it to owners of park." This suggests the possibility of a less harmonious social environment with some residents being overly involved in the affairs of others, which could be a concern for those who value privacy and independence.
On a more serious note, a separate review raises a significant concern regarding the landlord's practices. The reviewer alleges that the "landlord is charging elderly people a late fee of 225 dollars in Maryland," arguing that according to Maryland law, "the late fee should be 5 percent of your rent not no dame 225." The reviewer characterizes the landlord as "money hungry" and advises potential residents to "be ware of a landlord like this." This is a serious accusation that prospective residents should carefully consider and potentially investigate further by seeking information on Maryland's laws regarding late fees for mobile home park residents and inquiring about the park's fee structure.
Considering the category "RV parks near me," while Granite Mobile Home Park is described as a mobile home park, its attractive natural setting bordering Patapsco State Forest and its quiet environment could also appeal to RV owners seeking long-term or even potentially short-term stays in a more nature-oriented location. Many mobile home parks sometimes accommodate RVs, especially larger ones seeking a more permanent or semi-permanent base with hookups. To determine if Granite Mobile Home Park fits the criteria of "RV parks near me," it is crucial to contact the management directly to inquire about the availability of RV sites, the types of hookups offered (water, electricity, sewage), any size restrictions for RVs, and the terms for RV stays.
In summary, Granite Mobile Home Park offers a potentially beautiful and tranquil living environment with direct access to Patapsco State Forest and stunning night skies. The majority of residents are reportedly good people. However, prospective residents should be aware of potential inconsistencies in cleanliness and yard maintenance, the possibility of some residents being overly intrusive, and the serious allegation regarding excessive late fees charged by the landlord. For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it is essential to contact the park management to ascertain if RVs are accommodated and what facilities and terms are available.
To make an informed decision about Granite Mobile Home Park, whether for mobile home living or as a potential "RV park near me" option, it is recommended to:
- Investigate Late Fee Policies: Research Maryland state laws regarding late fees for mobile home park residents and inquire about Granite Mobile Home Park's specific policies.
- Inquire About RV Accommodations: Contact the management to determine if RV sites are available, what hookups are provided, and the terms of stay for RVs.
- Assess Cleanliness and Maintenance Standards: If possible, visit the park to observe the overall cleanliness and the condition of individual lots.
- Consider Community Dynamics: Be mindful of the reported issues with some residents' behavior and consider how this might impact your living experience.
- Explore the Natural Environment: Appreciate the proximity to Patapsco State Forest and the quiet, natural setting as significant advantages.
Without direct contact information, local users interested in Granite Mobile Home Park should attempt to find a current phone number or alternative contact method online to ask specific questions and gather more up-to-date information before making any decisions. The unique natural setting offers considerable appeal, but the reported concerns warrant careful consideration.

Jun 23, 2024 · Walk In LOVENice little trailer park off the beaten path. Quiet. Nice neighbors and well maintained. Trailers are personally owned, so not all alike. Fairly large lots and outside customizing allowed.
Feb 21, 2020 · Norene ParkerI just made a visit to look around given this parks high rating.thier were a few nice mobiles, most were older saw some with tires sitting around, skirts ripped up or half on,dryer vents venting out a window.all are dead end st,s. My 1st reaction was it needs to be cleaner and held to that standard.the few newer ones were.they have cluster boxs for mail, not standard mail boxs in a run as web pics show.its off the main road and near a very BUSY Chinese church where cars block up st.i expected better then what I saw and it is off very curvy back rds that are single lane.there is another way in.shopping is closest to edlersburg from carroll co.i was disappointed.
