Harbor Village RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Harbor Village RV Park, located at 923 SE Bay Blvd. in the scenic coastal town of Newport, Oregon. For those searching within the category of 'RV parks near me,' Harbor Village RV Park offers a location with convenient access to the waterfront and various local attractions. Situated in Newport, it provides a base for exploring the beauty and activities of the Oregon coast. This introduction aims to provide a comprehensive and objective overview of the park based on the available customer reviews, covering aspects such as the environment, services, features, and any mentioned considerations for potential visitors.
The environment surrounding Harbor Village RV Park is a significant draw, with one satisfied guest highlighting the "easy walk to the water front for all the food and entertainment you could want." This proximity to the bay area of Newport suggests that visitors can readily access local dining options, entertainment venues, and potentially scenic waterfront walks and activities. The same reviewer also appreciated the "cool weather of the Oregon coast during summer months," which is a common attraction for those seeking respite from warmer inland climates. The terrain around the park is noted as hilly, which reportedly caused weak Verizon and AT&T signals for one guest, although they still managed to get one or two bars. This is a factor to consider for those who rely heavily on these specific mobile carriers.
In terms of services and features, Harbor Village RV Park receives positive feedback in certain areas. The staff is described by one reviewer as "very friendly and professional," which can significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Cleanliness appears to be a priority, as the "bath house and showers were super clean," which is a crucial aspect for any RV park. A notable feature mentioned is the exceptionally fast WiFi, with speeds reported as "over 30-50 Mbps," which is a significant amenity for travelers needing to stay connected. The campsites, at least one of them, are described as being on "asphalt and level," providing a stable and convenient setup for RVs.
However, not all feedback is entirely positive, and potential visitors should be aware of some concerns raised by another reviewer. This guest reported being placed in a site that extended the front of their trailer into the road and backed them against a "wet and dirty bank," despite having a reservation. This suggests that site quality and placement might vary, and it's advisable to inquire about specific site details when booking. The same review also mentioned that the location appeared to be on the "main road into a larger park," leading to "lots of noise and many workers coming in late at night." This could be a concern for those seeking a quieter environment. Furthermore, this reviewer noted "poor spot maintenance," including dog poop that was allegedly not cleaned before their arrival, and "numerous digs in the asphalt from trailers bottoming out" on some sites, indicating potential issues with site conditions and accessibility. The presence of "bone jarring speed bumps even at the very lowest speeds" was also highlighted as a negative aspect of navigating the park.
The same critical review concluded with a perception of the park being a "jam-them-in-money-hungry park" where "many of the residents appeared to be low income homeless." This is a subjective observation but raises questions about the overall demographic and atmosphere of the park, which might be a consideration for some travelers. It's important to note that this is one individual's experience and may not reflect the entirety of the park's environment.

On the positive side, it offers a convenient location with easy access to the waterfront, friendly and professional staff, very clean facilities (specifically the bathhouse and showers), and exceptionally fast WiFi. These are significant advantages that many RV travelers highly value. However, potential drawbacks include the possibility of less desirable site assignments, potential noise from being on a main road, concerns about site maintenance and condition, aggressive speed bumps, and differing perceptions of the park's overall atmosphere and resident demographic.
In conclusion, Harbor Village RV Park in Newport, OR, offers a location with excellent proximity to waterfront attractions and boasts some highly appreciated amenities such as clean facilities and fast internet. However, prospective guests should be aware of the potential for less favorable site conditions, noise issues, and the presence of speed bumps within the park. Harbor Village RV Park Reviews
We stayed 2 weeks here and loved it. Staff is very friendly and professional. The bath house and showers were super clean. The Wifi speeds were the fastest we have ever seen...over 30-50 Mbps. Due to the hills nearby, our Verizon and AT&T signals were weak but we still had one or two bars for each. Easy walk to the water front for all the food and entertainment you could want. We love this RV park. The site was on asphalt and level. We love the cool weather of the Oregon coast during summer months.
Sep 02, 2020 · Robert OmsteadThey put us in a spot that left the front of the trailer out in the road; and even with the trailer out there I was still backed against their wet and dirty bank. And I had reservations for this bad treatment. This is the main road into a larger park, with lots of noise and many workers coming in late at night. Poor spot maintenance, with pictures showing much dog poop they didn't bother to clean before we arrived. Many spots along this side of the road were poor, with numerous digs in the asphalt from trailers bottoming out in trying to get in and out. Bone jarring speed bumps even at the very lowest speeds. Just another jam-them-in-money-hungry park where many of the residents appeared to be low income homeless.
Jul 07, 2021 · Rusty RussellOur 1st trip. Maiden voyage in the vintage trailer. There was nowhere else to go, everything was booked solid. Full hookups, clean showers. What more could you want? Cheryl the host was super nice. Some RV places have a problem with older trailers. We felt right at home and the campers were very friendly. Short walk to barking seals and great food. What a great experience ☺️ Thank you!
Oct 06, 2020 · L NHad the pleasure of driving through this RV park. It was very clean and would be a lovely place to live!
Mar 20, 2025 · Angela ChristianI have been staying here in the summer for the past 17 years. I love this park, the office personnel are very courteous, friendly and professional. The park is very close in walking distance for restaurants and the wharf on the river that dumps within about two or three miles from the ocean. You talk about fresh fish and crab, Newport is fresh fish and crab heaven. One think I really love about the park is that it is quiet and not near any busy highways. Big trees all over the place. And they have a great clothes washing facility there too. They are also dog friendly as long as the dog is friendly. My English Golden Retriever, Mindy loves to wave at people in the park. You can't go wrong with this park but be sure and get a reservation, they fill up fast.
