Newport Marina Rv Park Introduce
Seeking an RV park in the scenic coastal town of Newport, Oregon? Newport Marina RV Park, located at SE Ferry Slip Rd, Newport, OR 97366, USA, presents a unique offering for those searching under the "RV parks near me" category. Combining the convenience of marina access with RV accommodations, this park has garnered varied feedback from its visitors, providing potential guests with important insights to consider when planning their stay.
One positive review describes Newport Marina RV Park as "a great place to drop your anchor! For both boats and RVs." This suggests a significant advantage for those traveling with boats or interested in marina activities. The reviewer highlights the presence of lines with a walking path along the Marina, offering opportunities for scenic strolls and enjoying the waterfront environment. Furthermore, the park's proximity to the Rogue brewery restaurant is noted as a significant convenience, allowing easy access to dining and local brews.
This positive experience also emphasizes the clean and well-maintained paved RV sites. Paved sites are often preferred by RVers for their ease of leveling, reduced dust, and overall aesthetic appeal. The friendly and accommodating staff in the office are also commended for their willingness to help guests find the "perfect" site, suggesting a commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
The town of Newport itself is described as being on a smaller scale, which contributes to a sense of tranquility and peace. Despite its smaller size, it reportedly contains most essential amenities, striking a balance between a relaxed atmosphere and convenient access to necessities.
However, it's crucial to consider another, contrasting review from a visitor who stayed in the "annex" section of Newport Marina RV Park. This review paints a less favorable picture, describing the annex as a "dirt gravel lot." The reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the site conditions, noting that the width was barely wider than their Class C RV. They also reported issues with the water hookup, stating that a wrench was required to operate it due to the absence of a standard tap, just a rusted metal rod.
Further criticisms of the annex included the unevenness of the ground, the lack of a cement pad, and the absence of amenities. Despite these significant drawbacks, the reviewer mentioned paying over $50 per night, which they deemed excessive for the quality of the site. Based on their experience, they indicated a preference for staying at one of the two local State Parks in the future, suggesting that those alternatives offered better value and conditions.
Considering these two contrasting experiences, it appears that Newport Marina RV Park may have two distinct types of RV sites: the well-maintained paved sites closer to the marina and the less developed gravel sites in the annex. Potential guests should be aware of this difference and inquire specifically about the type of site they will be assigned when making a reservation.
For those prioritizing a clean, paved site with easy access to the marina and nearby attractions like Rogue brewery, the main section of Newport Marina RV Park seems to offer a positive experience. The friendly staff and the overall environment described in the positive review suggest a well-run facility in a desirable location.
However, for budget-conscious travelers or those seeking more developed amenities, the annex area may not be a suitable option based on the negative review. The unlevel gravel lots, the challenging water hookup, and the lack of amenities appear to be significant drawbacks, especially considering the reported nightly rate.
When planning a stay at Newport Marina RV Park, it would be wise to ask detailed questions about the specific site being offered, including its surface (paved or gravel), the availability and condition of hookups (water, electricity, sewer), and the proximity to any amenities such as restrooms, showers, or laundry facilities, if these are important to you. Understanding the differences between the main park and the annex is crucial for setting accurate expectations and ensuring a satisfactory stay.
To obtain more information or to make a reservation, you can contact Newport Marina RV Park directly at (541) 867-3321 or their mobile number +1 541-867-3321. Speaking with the staff will allow you to inquire about site availability, pricing for different types of sites, and the specific amenities offered in each area of the park. This direct communication will help you make an informed decision based on your individual needs and preferences when searching for "RV parks near me" in Newport, Oregon.
In conclusion, Newport Marina RV Park offers a potentially great location for RVers visiting Newport, Oregon, particularly those interested in marina access and proximity to local attractions. However, the significant difference in quality between the paved sites and the gravel annex area is a critical factor to consider. Potential guests should carefully inquire about the type of site they will be assigned to ensure it meets their expectations for comfort, amenities, and value.

Newport Marina Rv Park Reviews
Avoid. Stayed in the annex which is a dirt gravel lot. Site width was barely wider than our rig - in the photo you see a post each side of our Class C. My husband had to use a wrench to hook us up to water (see pic) as no tap to turn, just a rusted metal rod. Really unlevel, no cement pad and no amenities. Crazy for $50+ per night. We'll stay in one of the two local State Parks in future.
Sep 07, 2022 · S RA great place to drop your anchor! For both boats and RVs. Lines with a walking path along the Marina and walking distance to Rogue brewery restaurant. Very clean and well maintained paved sites. Friendly and accommodating staff in the office, always happy to help find the site that’s just perfect! The town itself is on a smaller site, which offers some tranquillity and peace, yet contains most of the amenities.
Apr 05, 2024 · Olga DavisClean park with plenty of room. We are a big class A with a pickup, had lots of room and the view of the bridge and bay are fantastic. Walking distance to lots of fun activities including the Aquarium, marine science center, docks, fishing, crabbing and shopping.
May 31, 2019 · Rock NerdWe stayed at the annex. I agree with the others who have stayed there. Uneven, very ugly, so many burrs that just walking my long hair dog on short walks she was covered in burrs. I had to use scissors to remove all of them. We left a day early, losing a day we paid for. BEWARE!!
Jul 01, 2024 · Cindie RaabWe stayed at the annex park so has nothing do do with the main rv park. The annex park has no entrance marked, and at the entrance one tree should be trimmed back it scratches the side of your rv, services are not aligned and they need more gravel on each rv spot, other than that I would give a 5 star rating.
