Interestingly, they also mention encountering a particularly rule-conscious resident, humorously referred to as a “Care-on,” who ensured everyone was aware of and adhered to the park's regulations. Pacific Shores Luxury Motorcoach Resort Reviews
If you own a class A or C coach, and we noticed class B also this trip, this is the place for you! All of the RV sites are awesome, we particularly like the oceanfront ones, and the amenities are the best! This property is kept up perfectly at all times. People are friendly and respectful. The office staff, particularly Lisa, are amazing, helpful, fun, and make it so nice for everyone!!! We’ve stayed here about 50 times over the years and it’s better than ever, if that’s possible. We highly recommend!! The pictures are from our coach and on our walk to the beach on the private trail from the resort.
May 11, 2025 · D BdyExcellent park. The landscaping, aided by views of the ocean, is fantastic. Our site had a nice concrete pad, picnic table, and an easy to use hookups. Everything is well maintained. It’s gorgeous. The only surprise is that the sites are privately owned, and many people leave their RV’s there permanently and many live there. While most residents we met were nice and pleasant and a joy to talk to, we did run into a “Care-on” who was well educated about the rules and made sure that we all knew and followed them.
Aug 13, 2024 · christopher albaMade a reservation a week prior to our arrival. All was great until we got to the gate and they said travel trailers were not allowed. This is in the website, I’ll say that. But it doesn’t stand out while booking. Honestly, I liked what I saw and the pictures looked great so I went straight to booking our site without reading the fine print. My mistake. It doesn’t stand out on the website that they only take class a motorhomes, and do not accept travel trailers of any kind. I see a lot of people make this mistake in the reviews and they really need to fix this problem, like before you hit book your reservation ask What the length of vehicle you’re staying in and what type. That would create a lot less problems like this. My gut tells me that they’re OK with this happening , Just another way for them to make money. And if that’s the case, this is a very bad business practice. I hope somebody reads this and doesn’t make the same mistake we did.
Oct 20, 2024 · Eric BradleyMake sure you are clear on their cancellation policy. We had an emergency for which we had to return home and cancel our reservation with them prematurely. Despite providing 3 days advance notice, they charged us the full amount for a 2-day stay. Just my two bits, but that seems like a complete rip off. State parks provide full refund with minimal notice, most motels and hotels only require 24 hours notice to allow a full refund. I won't use them again.
Aug 28, 2024 · John TustingWe stayed for 2 weeks in site 100. This meant we didn't have anything near to an ocean view, but the price was very affordable compared to those sites and we had a lovely sea breeze nonetheless. Sometimes at night you could hear occasional highway noise (an ambulance, etc) but it wasn't terrible. As other reviewers have also mentioned, this campground is immaculate with landscaping and extremely clean. Our site was huge and very easy to get into. Full hookups all worked perfectly and were well located. Laundry machines were very good. They even take credit cards and not just quarters. The beach was wonderful. I will note that if you have mobility issues that it wouldn't be possible for you to get down there. The walk up and down the cliffs leading to the beach was reasonably well maintained, but the last step down was quite perilous -- it seemed to be the results of erosion, etc. Hopefully they'll fix it and there are signs posted warning of this. But it's something to consider. They do have several viewing areas (gazebos, benches, etc.) that are available for you to sit and view the ocean from up on the cliffs, however, if you don't happen to have one of the premium oceanview RV sites. All in all, we had a lovely stay. The town of Newport is beautiful and there's lots to do. We would definitely stay again at this park.
