Longview Hills Introduce
For those seeking 'RV parks near me' in the Newport, Oregon area, particularly those aged 55 and over looking for a more permanent or long-term residential option, Longview Hills Manufactured Home Park presents a community designed for senior living. Located at 450 NE 58th St, Newport, OR 97365, USA, Longview Hills offers a unique environment with specific features and considerations that are important for prospective residents to understand. While categorized under 'RV parks near me', it functions primarily as a manufactured home park with age restrictions, potentially accommodating RVs for longer stays depending on park policies.
The environment of Longview Hills is notably situated on a raised area east of Highway 101, providing many of its residents with varying degrees of ocean views. This elevated location in the hills above Newport offers a scenic backdrop and a potentially tranquil setting. The park is approximately 15 minutes away from the central business district and the bay front of Newport, offering a balance between a quieter residential area and convenient access to local amenities, shopping, and attractions. The fact that homes are individually owned, and owners rent the spaces, is a common model for manufactured home parks, and it's important to note that water, electricity, and trash removal are typically not included in the space rent.
Longview Hills boasts several appealing features and services for its residents. A significant highlight is the presence of a large and modern clubhouse on-site. This clubhouse serves as a central hub for the community, hosting various activities almost daily. This active social calendar suggests a vibrant community life with opportunities for residents to engage with one another and participate in organized events. For seniors seeking a socially active environment within their chosen 'RV park near me', the clubhouse at Longview Hills is a considerable asset.
The park also features well-maintained walking paths around the community, providing residents with safe and pleasant areas for strolls and exercise. Another notable amenity is a stocked fishing pond, offering a relaxing recreational activity within the community itself. These features contribute to a higher quality of life and enhance the appeal of Longview Hills as a senior living community that might accommodate long-term RV residents.
According to resident feedback, the management at Longview Hills is considered responsive, which is a crucial aspect for a comfortable living experience. Knowing that park policies are uniformly enforced can also contribute to a fair and predictable environment for all residents. These positive aspects of management are important factors to consider when evaluating potential 'RV parks near me' for long-term living.
However, the reviews also mention some potential negatives. One resident noted that the homes are situated extremely close to each other, which might be a consideration for those who prefer more space and privacy. Additionally, the streets within the park are described as being in need of repair, which could impact the overall aesthetic and possibly the accessibility within the community. Another point of feedback is the presence of "cliquey social groups." While one reviewer listed this as both a positive and a negative, it suggests that while there are social opportunities, integrating into established groups might be a factor for new residents.
It is important to note the information regarding lease terms. Existing residents as of September 2016 enjoyed 99-year leases. However, due to the park being sold at some point after that date, new residents will be signing shorter-term leases. This change in lease structure is a significant piece of information for anyone considering moving into Longview Hills and should be a topic of direct inquiry with the management.
Regarding promotional information, none was explicitly provided in the reviews. To obtain details on current space rental rates, availability, any move-in specials, or specific terms for RVs considering a long-term stay, interested individuals should contact Longview Hills directly at (541) 265-3576 or +1 541-265-3576. Direct communication will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.
In conclusion, Longview Hills offers a 55+ manufactured home park environment in a beautifully located setting in Newport, Oregon, with potential ocean views for many residents. The park boasts a large clubhouse with daily activities, maintained walking paths, and a stocked fishing pond. While there are some drawbacks mentioned, such as the proximity of homes and the condition of the streets, the responsive management and uniformly enforced policies are positive aspects. For seniors seeking a long-term living situation within the 'RV parks near me' category in Newport, Longview Hills is a community worth investigating further, keeping in mind the age restriction and the change in lease terms for new residents. Direct contact with the management is essential to gather complete and current information.

Sep 23, 2016 · John Smiley (Kip)Beautifully located in the hills above Newport. Streets are wide and clean. No cars are parked on the streets and every home has an attached garage. Clubhouse is large and modern. Walking paths around the community are maintained and the stocked fishing pond is great! Ownership/management is honest, professional and transparent.
Nov 16, 2023 · Amy ChickWe put an offer an a house. Fell in love with the place. Then we met Ivy. She is about as friendly as a sledgehammer. Not sure if she disliked us from start, but they denied our membership into the neighborhood. Apparently her word is the last word. Good luck if you move in there! The rule list is staggering! It's a wonderful idea. Wonderful location.. management needs a work over
Apr 30, 2021 · Rachell OrtizThe homes are nice for the price, that's how they get you in there, as the space rent is high and go's up 3 - 5 % every year or more. Nothing free you pay for all. The manager was a jersey and hard to get along with. All click in clubhouse. Would not go back.
