Hartford Mobile Home Park Introduce
For individuals exploring options on platforms like "RV Parks Near Me," Hartford Mobile Home Park, located at 10 North St, Hartford, IA 50118, USA, may appear as a listing. While primarily a mobile home park, some users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" might consider such a park for longer-term residency or exploring mobile home ownership as an alternative to continuous RV travel. Based on the provided customer reviews, this park presents significant concerns regarding its management practices and legal compliance. It is important to note that the provided information does not include a direct phone number for the park; however, general inquiries for mobile home parks can sometimes be made through local directories or by visiting the property during business hours. To provide a comprehensive understanding for local users, this introduction will delve into the park's environment, services, features, and any discernible promotional information, based strictly on the highly critical customer feedback available.
The environment at Hartford Mobile Home Park, as depicted by the customer reviews, is largely defined by issues stemming from poor management and perceived neglect. While one reviewer initially states that the "park is a good place to live," this positive sentiment is immediately followed by a strong caveat: "just bad management." This suggests that the physical location itself might hold some potential, but its liveability is severely compromised by the way it is operated. A notable environmental issue is the presence of "people should clean there yard but we can just buy tags for trash and have it picked up it's all included in our trash fee so it looks trashy because they wont pick up people trash." This indicates a failure in maintaining the overall cleanliness and aesthetic of the community, leading to a "trashy" appearance in some areas due to uncollected refuse. Such conditions can significantly detract from the quality of life for residents and the overall appeal of the park. For users of "RV Parks Near Me" seeking a long-term, well-maintained, and pleasant environment, the reported issues with cleanliness and trash collection would be a significant concern. The overall environment, therefore, appears to be one where potential benefits of the location are undermined by management's alleged lack of property upkeep and responsiveness.
Regarding services at Hartford Mobile Home Park, the customer reviews highlight severe deficiencies and alleged illegal practices by the management. A primary concern is the alleged refusal of management to "answer the phone and no mailing address," indicating a profound lack of communication channels for residents to address issues or conduct necessary business. This absence of accessibility is a critical failure in basic administrative services. Furthermore, there are serious allegations of "illegally charging parking fees," despite contracts stating that "we get two parking lots as part of our lot rent." This points to a breach of contract and potentially exploitative financial practices. The issue with trash collection, where residents are charged a "trash fee" but their trash is not picked up, is another clear failure in a fundamental service. Perhaps most alarming is the account of a first-time mobile home buyer who was allegedly misled about needing a lease, subsequently deemed "not legally allowed in my own trailer" without one, and ultimately "evicted me and took the trailer." This describes a situation where basic legal and tenant support services are not only absent but are replaced by actions that are highly detrimental to residents, potentially leading to significant financial loss and displacement. The refusal of "state assistance from General Relief" further compounds the issues, suggesting a lack of willingness to cooperate with programs designed to help residents. For those searching "RV Parks Near Me" and considering long-term residency, the described service failures at Hartford Mobile Home Park are exceptionally concerning, painting a picture of an unresponsive, uncommunicative, and potentially predatory management.
The features of Hartford Mobile Home Park, as outlined by the customer feedback, are largely characterized by negative operational aspects rather than positive amenities. A prominent "feature" is the alleged opaque and inaccessible management, evidenced by their refusal to answer calls and provide a mailing address. This creates a challenging environment for residents seeking to resolve issues or understand their tenancy. Another critical feature is the alleged practice of illegal parking fees, despite existing contracts, which suggests a disregard for agreed-upon terms and conditions. The issue of uncollected trash, despite a paid fee, highlights a deficiency in basic maintenance features. The park's alleged actions regarding new mobile home buyers, including misleading information about leases and subsequent eviction and trailer repossession, are a deeply concerning feature that underscores a lack of ethical business practices and legal compliance. While the park does provide mobile home lots, the alleged mismanagement of these lots and the resident contracts within them become defining negative features. The review explicitly mentions that the "park is a good place to live just bad management," which implies that the inherent physical setting might have some positive attributes (though not detailed), but these are overshadowed by the dysfunctional management. For individuals using "RV Parks Near Me" to find a long-term living solution, these features present a considerable risk of legal disputes, financial exploitation, and a poor quality of life.
Promotional information for Hartford Mobile Home Park is entirely absent from the provided reviews, and the existing feedback serves as a strong warning rather than a positive endorsement. The overwhelming sentiment expressed is one of caution and dissatisfaction. Phrases like "BIG NO STAR" (from other reviews on similar parks, though not explicitly this one, the tone here aligns) and the detailed accounts of alleged illegal charges, unresponsiveness, and particularly the eviction and loss of a mobile home due to management actions, act as powerful anti-promotional messages. The reviewer's willingness to "have years and years to talk about this community park" and offer to be "more than helpful to answer your concerns" via Facebook Messenger, while not part of a formal promotional campaign, effectively serves to disseminate negative experiences and caution others. This type of unsolicited, detailed negative feedback is far more impactful than any positive marketing could counteract. Therefore, for anyone searching "RV Parks Near Me" and performing due diligence by researching potential long-term residency options, the information available about Hartford Mobile Home Park would strongly advise against it, highlighting significant issues related to management practices, legal compliance, and resident well-being.

Not new owners same people just another name change the refuse to answer the phone and no mailing address. As now they are illegally charging parking fees. Its illegal because our contract said we get two parking lots as part of our lot rent.park is a good place to live just bad management and some people should clean there yard but we can just buy tags for trash and have it picked up it's all included in our trash fee so it looks trashy because they wont pick up people trash
Apr 30, 2021 · Jarel BettazzaThey refused state assistance from General Relief and I was first time buyer for mobile home and I was told buy seller didn't need a lease just pay the monthly lot rent. I was then informed that I wasn't legally allowed in my own trailer because I didn't sign a lease with them for lot rent. Why would I pay property taxes when I have to pay lot rent? Doesn't make sense to me. But they evicted me and took the trailer.
May 30, 2019 · Ashley SholleyHorrible place to live I've been waiting for 3 years on my title so my statement doesn't come to my address so I never know how much my rent is going to be so if I'm an hour late on payment I have to pay a late fee. The court has been sold more times than a faulty game system on Craigslist.
Jun 06, 2019 · Nate MccannTrashy….A lot of homes have been abandoned…Need to be torn down.. . .Management are here to collect lot rent that is all……Keep raising the lot rent & do nothing……It has become a free for all here
Apr 20, 2023 · M SmithI have been here less than 4 yrs and lot rent has went from 140.00 a month to 274.00 a month. No park improvements and the park is on its 4th ownership.
