Hickory Hills Village Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or exploring options within the mobile home community category, Hickory Hills Village, situated at 10450 6 Mile Rd #131, Battle Creek, MI 49014, USA, presents a residential setting with some amenities. While primarily a mobile home park catering to long-term residents, the presence of features like a basketball court and playground suggests a community that may attract families and individuals seeking a more permanent living situation with some recreational options. However, the available customer reviews also bring to light potential areas of concern regarding services and community dynamics.
One reviewer, whose mother lived in Hickory Hills Village for many years, raises concerns about the level of services provided, particularly for senior citizens. The review points out that while rent was paid, there was an expectation for more support, such as snow plowing of individual driveways, especially considering the challenges faced by elderly residents. The reviewer notes that the truck plowing the roads often blocked driveways, creating an additional burden for seniors. Furthermore, the increasing rent is questioned in relation to the perceived lack of additional services or improvements within the park, such as lawn mowing for uniformity. This perspective suggests that while Hickory Hills Village provides a place to reside, some residents may feel that the services offered do not adequately match the cost, particularly for vulnerable populations.
On a more positive note, another reviewer, seemingly a younger resident, describes Hickory Hills Village as "very fun." This individual mentions enjoying activities such as bike riding with friends and playing at the basketball court and the park (playground). These comments indicate that the community offers some recreational amenities that are valued by younger residents and contribute to a positive experience for families with children. The presence of these facilities can be a significant draw for those seeking a family-friendly environment within a mobile home park.
However, the positive experience of the younger reviewer is somewhat tempered by an encounter with a "mean" individual within the community. This incident involved being told not to play in the front of the office yard, leading to a negative interaction. While the reviewer still gives the park a "good four stars" overall, this anecdote highlights that social dynamics within the community can vary, and not all interactions may be positive. This is a factor that prospective residents should be mindful of when considering a move to any community setting.
Considering the two available reviews, Hickory Hills Village appears to offer a mixed experience. On one hand, it provides a residential setting with recreational amenities that are appreciated by some residents, particularly the younger ones. The presence of a basketball court and a playground suggests a community that caters to families. On the other hand, concerns are raised about the level of services provided relative to the cost, especially for senior residents, and there are indications of potential interpersonal challenges within the community.
The information available does not provide specific details about other services and features that might be offered at Hickory Hills Village. Aspects such as utility hookups, park maintenance, security measures, or community events are not mentioned in these reviews. Therefore, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive overview of all the services and features available. Prospective residents would need to seek further information on these aspects to gain a complete understanding of what Hickory Hills Village offers.
Similarly, no specific promotional information is included in the provided reviews. The comments are based on personal experiences and observations rather than any advertised incentives or special offers. Local users considering Hickory Hills Village as a potential "RV park near me" for a longer-term stay, or as a mobile home living option, would need to inquire directly about current rates, available spaces, and any promotions that might be in place.
The review mentioning the skyrocketing rent and the perceived lack of commensurate services could be a point of concern for potential residents, especially those on a fixed income or looking for value for money. The comparison made to a house payment suggests that the rental rates may be significant enough to warrant careful consideration of the overall benefits and services provided by the park.
To gain a more balanced and comprehensive understanding of Hickory Hills Village, local users are strongly encouraged to contact the park directly at (269) 979-1311 or +1 269-979-1311. Speaking with the management will allow prospective residents to inquire about current rental rates, the availability of spaces suitable for mobile homes or long-term RVs, the specific services and amenities offered (including those relevant to seniors), and the community rules and regulations. It would also be beneficial to ask about park maintenance, security, and any community initiatives or activities that might enhance the living experience.
In conclusion, Hickory Hills Village in Battle Creek, Michigan, offers a residential community with some family-friendly amenities like a basketball court and playground. However, potential residents should be aware of concerns raised regarding the level of services provided in relation to the cost, particularly for senior citizens, and the possibility of mixed social interactions within the community. Direct communication with the management is crucial to obtain detailed information about current rates, services, and policies to determine if Hickory Hills Village meets individual needs and expectations for long-term living.

Hickory Hills Village Reviews
My mom lived there for many years. She was 87 when she died. For the amount of rent she paid. I certainly felt like they should be doing more for their senior citizens if not, everyone. Like plowing their drives when you go around with your truck and do the roads you block everybody’s driveway and how is somebody in their 80s supposed to go out there and shovel I wasn’t always available to get over there when she needed to get out. Now I understand the rate is skyrocketing. I also think for that amount of money you should be going around and mowing everyone’s lawn for them. That way it would look uniform. You do nothing extra nothing. I just drove around over there. Nothing extra . It’s just unbelievable. What do you do with their rent money? I see nothing new about the park. It’s ridiculous. My aunt and uncle we’re just going to move there and decided not to even go look at the home because the rent was so high, my uncle said I can do something else with that money Like make a house payment.

Feb 05, 2025 · TailahOne of the best trailer parks i've ever seen! Sorry, manufactured homes.
Dec 28, 2024 · J CooperWe love living here. Quiet neighborhood, kind neighbors. Very safe; our daughter spends most of her after-school time off riding her bike and playing with other kids. Very clean. Absolutely not a "trailer park," truly just a neighborhood of manufactured homes.
