Highway 16 Mobile Home & RV Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" or considering long-term mobile home living in the Poteet, Texas area, Highway 16 Mobile Home & RV Community, located at 16055 TX-16, Poteet, TX 78065, USA, is a mixed-use community that warrants careful consideration. You can reach them at (210) 899-0443 or their mobile number +1 210-899-0443 for inquiries. This community explicitly identifies itself as both a mobile home park and an RV community, suggesting it may cater to both long-term residents in manufactured homes and those seeking extended stays in their recreational vehicles.
However, it is crucial to approach this community with caution, as the available customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding its overall condition and environment. One reviewer notes that "The mobile park is not in the best condition." This is a significant statement that potential residents or visitors should take seriously. The reviewer elaborates by mentioning that "The streets are not paved properly so I can imagine the mud when it rains." Poorly maintained or unpaved roads can lead to various inconveniences, including difficulty navigating the park, potential damage to vehicles, and unpleasant conditions during wet weather. This suggests a lack of investment in basic infrastructure within the community.
Adding to the concerns about the park's physical condition, the same reviewer points out that "Some of the homes have an excessive amount of bulk trash all around them." This indicates a potential issue with community upkeep and enforcement of cleanliness standards. Accumulations of trash can create an unsightly environment, attract pests, and potentially pose health hazards. This lack of attention to the overall appearance of the park could be a significant drawback for many seeking a comfortable living or temporary stay.
Despite the negative aspects, the first reviewer does mention a couple of positive attributes. They note the convenience of "the convenience store next door and right off hwy 16." Proximity to a convenience store can be beneficial for quick access to essential items. Furthermore, being located directly off Highway 16 offers accessibility for both residents and travelers, potentially making it easy to reach surrounding areas and amenities in Poteet and beyond.
The second review presents even more serious allegations, stating, "Not a good place to live unless you like drugs and liars and thieves. The list goes on and on." While such strong claims should be viewed with some caution as they represent a single individual's experience and perspective, they raise significant red flags regarding the safety and social environment within the community. The reviewer further warns, "You have to watch your back because some people will stab you in the back and will not blink an eye about it." Such statements suggest a potentially hostile or untrustworthy atmosphere, which would be a major deterrent for most people seeking a place to live or stay.
The second reviewer also touches upon maintenance issues, stating, "They say they will fix problems with house but sometimes it takes awhile or sometimes not at all." This echoes the earlier concern about the park's condition and suggests potential inefficiencies or a lack of commitment to addressing residents' maintenance needs promptly and effectively. This can lead to frustration and a diminished quality of living for those residing in the mobile homes.
Considering these reviews, potential residents or RVers searching for "RV parks near me" who come across Highway 16 Mobile Home & RV Community should proceed with extreme caution. While the location off a major highway and the presence of a nearby convenience store might seem appealing, the negative feedback regarding the park's physical condition, cleanliness, and, more seriously, the alleged social and safety issues, cannot be ignored. These reviews suggest a community that may not provide a comfortable or secure living environment.
For those specifically interested in using this as an "RV park near me" for an extended stay, the reviews do not provide direct information about the RV facilities. Potential RV guests would need to inquire about the availability and condition of RV sites, the types of hookups offered (electricity, water, sewer), the presence of amenities such as dump stations, laundry facilities, restrooms, and showers, and the overall suitability of the park for recreational vehicles. Given the negative comments about the mobile home section, it would be prudent to be particularly diligent in assessing the RV area if one exists.
In conclusion, while Highway 16 Mobile Home & RV Community in Poteet, Texas, offers a location directly off a main highway and proximity to a convenience store, the available customer reviews raise significant concerns about the park's condition, cleanliness, and potentially the safety and social environment. The unpaved roads and accumulation of trash indicate a lack of proper maintenance, while the serious allegations of drugs, dishonesty, and theft suggest a potentially unsafe living situation. For those searching for "RV parks near me" or considering long-term residency, it is strongly recommended to thoroughly investigate these concerns, visit the property in person to assess its condition, and speak with current residents (if possible) before making any decisions. The negative feedback suggests that this community may not be a desirable option for many.

Mar 15, 2022 · Daniel PerezNot a good place to live unless you like drugs and liars and thieves. The list goes on and on. But I'm not going to put everything down. Unless someone wants personal information about it. Just not a good place. They say they will fix problems with house but sometimes it takes awhile or sometimes not at all. You have to watch your back because some people will stab you in the back and will not blink an eye about it
Dec 07, 2017 · Tim SmithThis area is quite a small community people pretty much keep to themselves and most of the mobile homes are single wides there seem to be some that are available for sale or rent I guess all in all if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle this place is definitely the place to be at.
Apr 03, 2022 · Fred FloresThis place is paradise! At night time its quiet and peacefull. Very tranquil. I love living here! Pay your rent on time and you ll have an easy life here. This place is a Goldmine. You can buy or rent. Your choice. This is a great opportu ity for anyone trying to better themselves and save alot of money in the long run. Takes 30 minutes to get to downtown san antonio. No gunshots at night no drugs no weirdos hanging around. Very safe and amazing place to raise a family. The problem is people need to instal a fence around thire home then youll be having more privacy than queen elizabeth at buckingham palace. This place is the best in the southwest! Been living here 3 years now. Ill never go back to san antonio. Poteet is the best place on earth.
