Hill Country RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the charming town of Fredericksburg, Texas, Hill Country RV Park, located at 1591 E Main St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624, USA, presents an option with mixed but ultimately leaning positive feedback from online reviews. Situated in a central location, this park offers convenience and a seemingly welcoming atmosphere. Interested individuals can contact them at (830) 997-5365 or +1 830-997-5365 for inquiries and reservations.
The available customer reviews offer contrasting perspectives on Hill Country RV Park. One reviewer, who did not stay overnight but utilized the water, power, and laundry facilities, noted "clean level spots" and a seemingly "quiet enough" environment. However, this reviewer also expressed significant concerns about the presence of wildlife, specifically "lizards" and "wasps," which made even doing laundry challenging. Furthermore, this reviewer had a very negative impression of the bathroom facilities, stating they "wouldn’t shower in the bathroom if I had to" and even comparing it unfavorably to bathing conditions in a muddy foxhole. This suggests potential issues with cleanliness or the presence of insects in the restroom area.
In contrast, another reviewer who stayed for a month reported a "quiet clean park in the middle of everything." This suggests a convenient location with easy access to Fredericksburg's attractions. While noting that the park is "mostly full timers," this reviewer experienced friendly and helpful staff and had pleasant interactions with various neighbors. This positive experience led them to state they "will definitely be coming back," indicating a high level of satisfaction.
Considering these two reviews, the environment of Hill Country RV Park appears to have both positive and negative aspects. The park offers "clean level spots," which are crucial for comfortable RV parking. It also seems to be generally "quiet," contributing to a relaxing stay. However, the presence of lizards and wasps could be a concern for some visitors, particularly those not accustomed to such wildlife encounters. The cleanliness of the bathroom facilities is a significant point of contention, with one reviewer expressing strong aversion. Potential visitors should inquire about the park's pest control measures and the condition of their restrooms.
Regarding services, the first reviewer explicitly mentioned the availability of water, power, and laundry facilities, which are essential for RV travelers. The second reviewer's positive experience during a month-long stay implies that standard RV hookups (water, electricity, sewer) are likely available and functional. The mention of "friendly and helpful" staff suggests that assistance is readily provided to guests. However, the starkly negative feedback about the bathroom cleanliness from one reviewer indicates a potential inconsistency or issue that needs to be addressed or clarified by the park management.
Features of Hill Country RV Park include its convenient location "in the middle of everything" in Fredericksburg, making it an ideal base for exploring the town's attractions, wineries, and historical sites. The park offers "clean level spots," ensuring a comfortable and stable parking experience for RVs. The friendly and helpful staff, as reported by one reviewer, can significantly enhance the guest experience. The availability of laundry facilities is a practical feature for both short-term and long-term stays. However, the potential presence of wildlife (lizards and wasps) and the concerning condition of the bathrooms, as mentioned by one reviewer, are negative features that potential visitors should be aware of and inquire about.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the available reviews. Local users interested in learning about daily, weekly, or monthly rates, as well as any special offers or discounts, should contact Hill Country RV Park directly. It would also be wise to inquire about their policies regarding reservations, cancellations, pet policies, and any other specific amenities they might offer, such as Wi-Fi access or communal areas.
In conclusion, Hill Country RV Park in Fredericksburg, Texas, offers a convenient location and reportedly friendly staff, with clean and level RV spots. However, potential visitors should be aware of the contrasting feedback regarding the environment, particularly the presence of wildlife, and the concerning report about the cleanliness of the bathroom facilities. For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it is recommended to contact Hill Country RV Park directly at (830) 997-5365 or +1 830-997-5365 to ask specific questions about their pest control measures, the current condition of their restrooms, and the availability and quality of all essential RV services and amenities. While one guest had a positive long-term stay and intends to return, the negative experience of another regarding the environment and facilities warrants careful consideration and direct inquiry before making a booking.

Hill Country RV Park Reviews
To be clear from what we’ve seen of the past reviews, they clearly reviewed another RV Park. Clean level spots, seemed quiet enough. We didn’t even bother to stay the night. Got water, power and did laundry and left. Between the lizards, wasps we barely got the laundry done. I wouldn’t shower in the bathroom if I had to. As a Marine I bathed in a muddy foxhole and that shower was a no go.
Mar 23, 2025 · Alex KunzeA quiet clean park in the middle of everything. Mostly full timers but we stayed a month and had a few different neighbors. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
Feb 01, 2025 · Brittany MorrisonSuper easy reservation! We showed up on Sunday afternoon and all the information for us was easily accessible. Hill country rv is a 5 star rv park. Our stay was perfect! Very quiet and spacious rv spots. The restrooms and showers were heated and super clean. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Hill Country RV for an amazing experience!
Jan 07, 2025 · Donald DavisWe stayed at the Hill Country RV Park in Fredericksburg Tx. The park is filled with full timers. There are several park models/tiny homes in the park. We paid $180 for the week. Full hook-ups. The spot was level and quiet. The park has a central bathhouse and laundry room. Great staff and the ownership is also very friendly and at the moment lives onsite. The only negative is that the WiFi is not very strong.
Jun 06, 2021 · Dr. John FisherOur family was headed from Austin to Big Bend National Park, and given our late start, it made sense to do an overnight stay in Fredericksburg. I got on the internet the day of our trip to find a place, expecting to book online since I was calling around 8:45 a.m. and didn’t think I’d hear back quickly from anyone. Hill Country RV Park caught my eye for its convenience and proximity to Walmart and other shopping spots we needed for last-minute items, so I hoped it would work out.At first, I thought we’d have to go with another park that offered online booking since Hill Country didn’t have that option at the time. I was literally about to make payment for another park when my phone rang. It was the kind and helpful lady from Hill Country RV Park. She set everything up for us quickly, and her pleasant demeanor really made the difference. When we arrived, everything was as promised. Our reservation details were easily accessible at the office, and we had no trouble finding our spot. It’s clear that the new owners are investing back into the park—there were visible upgrades like fresh gravel in the overnight spots and paving work on the roads. Even though some roads were still dirt, they were well-constructed and maintained, and our big Class A with a toad handled them without any issues. We were so pleased with our experience that we stayed here again on our way back from Big Bend. The second visit was just as smooth, confirming that this park is consistently well-run. While we didn’t try the Wi-Fi or laundry facilities, it was clear they were available and well-maintained.Overall, Hill Country RV Park is not a resort, but it’s perfect for an overnight stay or even a week if you’re on a budget. If I were staying longer with my young kids, I’d likely opt for a resort, but for quick, convenient stays, this park is ideal. ALSO seems like a good spot for long-term. The customer service, ongoing improvements, and convenient location make it a great choice.Thank you, Hill Country RV Park, for a great experience, please set up online booking as soon as possible, you are definitely missing out on revenue from overnighters and given your location, you should be doing a decent amount of business from overnighters. Check into mysites, camp spot etc.
