Huntington Mobile Home Park Introduce
If you are searching for 'RV parks near me' or mobile home communities in the Shreveport, Louisiana area, Huntington Mobile Home Park, located at 6850 Klug Pines Rd, Shreveport, LA 71129, USA, is one option that may appear in your search. However, it is critical to thoroughly review the available customer feedback, which presents serious concerns regarding the management, maintenance, and overall living conditions at this property.
The online reviews for Huntington Mobile Home Park paint a concerning picture for potential residents. One detailed review outlines numerous unresolved maintenance issues experienced within the first month and a half of moving in. These issues reportedly included the absence of a refrigerator upon move-in (which took seven days to be provided), inadequate cleaning of the trailer prior to occupancy, and a significant amount of trash left outside for the new resident to clean up. The reviewer also alleges a pattern of the property manager failing to follow through on promises regarding repairs and a lack of proactive engagement from immediate maintenance staff, who were reportedly quick to state what they would not do.
Further critical issues raised by this reviewer include malfunctioning appliances, such as a stove with a burner that caught fire and another that emitted significant smoke and burning smells. Despite reporting these and other problems immediately, half of the submitted maintenance list allegedly remained incomplete after a month and a half. The reviewer specifically mentions a running toilet that took over a month to be addressed and unresolved damage to the porches, raising concerns about potential safety hazards. The reviewer also suggests a possible retaliatory motive for the lack of action, stemming from being outspoken about the issues.
Despite the overwhelmingly negative experiences, the first reviewer did note one positive aspect: the work done by an individual named Jason on the air conditioning units, describing his service as "great." However, this single positive comment is overshadowed by the extensive list of unresolved problems and negative interactions with the general management and maintenance processes.
Adding to these concerns, the reviewer also states that the corporate office was unresponsive to phone calls and mailed correspondence, indicating a potential lack of accountability or support for residents at the corporate level. The reviewer's advice to potential future tenants is stark: ensure all work is completed before moving in, implying a strong likelihood of difficulties in getting issues resolved after occupancy.
The second review presents even more serious allegations, including the accusation that the property manager is "racist" and that the owner is uninvolved and uncaring towards tenants. This reviewer describes the trailers as old and not meeting standards for safe and healthy living conditions. They recount paying the first month's rent and deposit for a trailer that was not ready for move-in, and even after moving in, repairs were allegedly not completed despite repeated communication over four months, with only one maintenance person available without assistance.
This second reviewer further alleges an illegal eviction after communicating about withholding rent until necessary repairs were made. They claim the property manager changed the locks while they were in the process of moving and had to involve the police to regain access to their belongings, with the police reportedly determining the eviction was illegal. Additionally, this reviewer accuses the property manager of raising the rent by $1500 without explanation or proof of fees and enforcing made-up rules that allegedly only applied to Black residents. The reviewer also mentions another Black tenant experiencing similar issues and states that lawsuits are being filed for slumlord violations, unhealthy living conditions, and unlawful eviction.
Given the severity of these allegations, including claims of discrimination and illegal eviction, potential residents searching for 'RV parks near me' or mobile home parks in Shreveport should exercise extreme caution when considering Huntington Mobile Home Park. These reviews raise significant red flags about the ethical and legal practices of the management, the living conditions of the properties, and the responsiveness to residents' needs.
Due to the overwhelmingly negative nature of the available feedback, it is impossible to provide a positive or even neutral description of the environment, services, or features of Huntington Mobile Home Park based solely on this information. The reviews do not offer any insights into the physical layout of the park, the amenities provided, or the overall community atmosphere. Instead, they focus entirely on negative experiences with the management, maintenance, and allegations of discriminatory practices.
Therefore, anyone considering Huntington Mobile Home Park for their RV or mobile home living needs should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. It is strongly recommended to seek information from multiple independent sources, including contacting current residents (if possible), visiting the property to assess its condition firsthand, and researching any official records or complaints related to the property management.
It is also crucial for potential residents to be aware of their rights as tenants under Louisiana law, particularly regarding housing discrimination, eviction procedures, and the landlord's responsibility to maintain safe and habitable living conditions. If the allegations in the reviews are accurate, they may indicate serious violations of these rights.
Given the complete absence of positive feedback and the presence of serious negative allegations, Huntington Mobile Home Park cannot be recommended based on the information provided. Potential residents should prioritize their safety, well-being, and housing security by thoroughly investigating these concerns and considering alternative 'RV parks near me' that have a more positive and reliable track record.
No information regarding promotional offers or specific services and features can be derived from the provided reviews. The focus is entirely on negative experiences with the management, maintenance, and allegations of discriminatory practices. Therefore, any potential resident would need to independently verify all aspects of Huntington Mobile Home Park before considering it as a place to live.
In conclusion, the online feedback for Huntington Mobile Home Park in Shreveport, LA, is overwhelmingly negative, raising severe concerns about the management's practices, the condition of the properties, and allegations of discriminatory behavior. Prospective residents searching for 'RV parks near me' should carefully consider these issues and conduct extensive due diligence before making any decisions regarding this property. It is strongly recommended to explore other options that offer more positive and reliable feedback to ensure a safe, healthy, and satisfactory living experience.

Huntington Mobile Home Park Reviews
Part of the reason for our reviews are so that other consumers know what to expect if they decide to proceed with their interactions with the businesses we review. Therefore, I decided to re-review my original post to elaborate more on why I gave the original rating that I gave. The two stars I rated the mobile home park are due to the location of it as well as the peace and quiet. However, dealing with management and staff here have not been a pleasant experience.I moved in just under a month and a half ago. Everything that I speak of during this review was reported as soon as the problem was identified. Most of the list are things that should have been addressed prior to my move in. I reported immediately that I had no refrigerator, it took 7 days for them to deliver me one. There was someone cleaning my trailer the day of my move-in and the things that they should have them cleaning, they don't, I'll post before and after pics of my stove shortly. All the trash on the outside of the trailer was left for me to clean up. I forgot to take pics before I cleaned it up. Ninety-eight percent of the time the property manager never does what they say they will do when they say it will be done...unless they are out sourcing the job beyond immediate employees. Immediate employees are quick to tell you what they are not going to do or what their job IS NOT. I wa handed drip pans on yesterday to install myself, mainenance. This past weekend I had family come from out of town. One of my eyes caught fire nad another one somked so bad it took all night to clear the smoke and burning smell. Of the list submitted, a month and a half later half of the list is still incomplete. It took over a month for them to get someone out here to stop a running toilet. I am still waiting on someone to come out to assess the severity of the damage to the porches, and it is bad. Maybe they're waiting for someone to injure themselves before something is done.....or maybe it retribution for being out spoken 🤷🏾♂️.There was a mentioning positive experience. Jason is great with the work he does on the a/c units.Corporate office will not take your phone calls or respond to mailed correspondences. I have more, but you get the hint. So, should you decide to rent even after this review, my advice to you would be to make sure ALL work is done BEFORE move in....or good luck getting it done.
May 12, 2022 · M SThe property manager is racist. The owner does not get involved or care about the tenants. The trailers are old and not up to part with safe healthy living conditions. I paid first months rent and deposit the trailers was not ready for move in. Even after move in repairs still was not done. For 4 months I constantly got excuses on why repairs haven’t been done. They have one maintenance man with no help. In May I communicated with property manager and maintenance man about holding rent til repairs are done instead of just fixing it. She illegally evicted me, changed the locks while I was in the process of moving. Locked herself in the house and I had to call the police to gain access to get the rest of my property. At that point the police reviewed all the paper to find the whole eviction was illegal. The went through and took my belongings. Not to mention she raise May’s rent by $1500 with a clear explanation or proof of the fees. Property manager enforced made up rules that only applied to black people. Another tenant is now also black going through the same thing. We are currently in the process of filing lawsuits for slumlord violations, unhealthy living conditions, unlawful evictions.
Aug 02, 2023 · Crashunna MageeI love it over here it's absolutely NOT a rundown park AT ALL. It's and quiet and safe environment. The landlord Sarah works very hard trying to make sure EVERYONE is taken care of over here. I been here almost 2 years and i haven't had any issues. I love it here😁
Jul 06, 2021 · Brandi FosterWas a more decent park long ago when park management enforced rules and required all residents to abide and keep their places up.Now they dont though. They care only about getting and keeping the rents. Meanwhile the water system fails regularly, the streets are bad and they will not repair things in a timely manner. It has gone way, WAY downhill, while their prices have only gone up skyhigh. Criminal.
Aug 06, 2017 · H BrillAbsolutely horrible place to live!!! The trailer my son is renting has MAJOR electrical problems and it's always an excuse, and NEVER AN ACTUAL BUSINESS CALLED TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEMS! It's always been just someone the manager knows! When asked for the main management number, the park manager says she can't give it out! You have to mail your payment to some address out of state, when you google the address there is no business there and no phone number!
