Laboulaie RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Broussard, Louisiana area, Laboulaie RV Park, located at 1136 Evangeline Thruway, Broussard, LA 70518, USA, presents a potential option. You can reach them at (337) 856-0555 or +1 337-856-0555 for inquiries about availability and specific details. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Laboulaie RV Park based on the provided address and available customer feedback.
Broussard, situated in the southern part of Louisiana, offers a blend of Cajun culture and modern amenities. Its location along the Evangeline Thruway suggests potential accessibility for travelers passing through the region and for local residents seeking a nearby RV park for short or potentially longer stays. The Evangeline Thruway is a significant route in the area, connecting various towns and cities in South Louisiana.
Based on customer reviews, the environment at Laboulaie RV Park is described by one reviewer as a "nice quiet area" with a "friendly atmosphere" and "no problems." This suggests that the park may offer a peaceful setting for RVers. However, another review presents a contrasting perspective, indicating a lack of shade trees and potential issues with the electricity supply, as evidenced by a surge protector "flicking because of bad electricity supplied." These differing experiences highlight the importance of contacting the park directly to assess the current conditions and suitability for individual needs.
In terms of services and features, one review mentions that Laboulaie RV Park seems to primarily cater to "full timers with older RVs" and describes it as "an old person's community." This suggests a potentially established and perhaps quieter environment. The review also notes that while there are "a few spaces they rent out," the park lacks attractions and activities, offering "nothing but a spot and hookups." This implies that the park might be more focused on providing essential utilities rather than extensive recreational facilities.
The mention of "hookups" indicates that Laboulaie RV Park likely offers standard RV amenities such as electrical connections, water supply, and sewage disposal. These are fundamental requirements for most RV travelers, allowing them to comfortably use their onboard systems. However, the reported issue with the electricity supply is a point of concern that potential visitors should verify with the park management.
The absence of shade trees, as mentioned in one review, could be a significant factor for RVers, especially during the hot Louisiana summers. Shade can help keep RVs cooler and provide a more comfortable outdoor living space. The lack of shade might be a drawback for those planning to spend extended time outdoors at their campsite.
The review stating "no attraction, no activities" suggests that Laboulaie RV Park might not offer communal recreational facilities such as a swimming pool, playground, clubhouse, or organized events. For RVers who prioritize such amenities, this park might not be the most suitable choice. However, for those seeking a simple and quiet place with basic hookups, it could still be a viable option.
The comment about management asking a guest to leave due to additional children arriving, while acknowledged by the reviewer as something they "didn't mind leaving" for, could indicate specific park policies regarding the number of occupants per site or visitor rules. It is crucial for potential guests to inquire about these policies when making a reservation to avoid any misunderstandings upon arrival.
Given the limited and somewhat contrasting information available from the single source of reviews, it is strongly recommended that local users interested in Laboulaie RV Park contact them directly using the provided phone numbers. When inquiring, it would be beneficial to ask specific questions about:
- Current availability and pricing for RV sites.
- The type and capacity of utility hookups available (electrical amperage, water pressure, sewage connections).
- The presence and condition of shade trees at the campsites.
- Any amenities or facilities offered by the park (e.g., laundry, restrooms, showers).
- Park rules and regulations, including any policies on visitors or the number of occupants per site.
- The general atmosphere and the typical demographic of residents.
- Any recent upgrades or improvements to the park's infrastructure, particularly the electrical system.
By directly communicating with Laboulaie RV Park, local users can obtain the most up-to-date and accurate information to make an informed decision about whether this RV park meets their specific needs and expectations. While one reviewer found it to be a "nice quiet area," others pointed out potential drawbacks such as the lack of shade and activities, as well as concerns about the electrical supply. Therefore, personal contact and detailed inquiries are essential steps for anyone considering a stay at Laboulaie RV Park in Broussard, Louisiana.

Laboulaie RV Park Reviews
Nice quiet area no problems friendly atmosphere
Mar 25, 2025 · Logan JeansonneMade a reservation for my daughter and I. Management asked me to leave because my other 2 kids decided to come. I honestly didn't mind leaving. No shade trees and my surge protector was flicking because of bad electricity supplied. It's an old person's community most are full timers with older RVs. They have a few spaces they rent out but there's no attraction, no activities nothing but a spot and hookups. Not even SHADE to keep the sun off your camper.
Sep 04, 2021 · Keith SimpsonWe are driving a 36 foot motorhome and stay here on a regular basis. Have stayed here numerous times over the past years. The park is medium size and intended for short stays, one to two weeks, but can accommodate a month or more. The grounds are clean, neat and can host motorhomes 45 feet in length as well as fifth wheel and trailers. Close to town and easy access. Will stay with them again in the future.
Jun 09, 2018 · James StarksThe park has the basics, & it's clean. Disappointing there are no picnic tables. The park host has issues with the 5mph speed limit. It's amazing that he has the ability to tell if one is driving 6mph. He could also use a course in customer relations.
Feb 28, 2018 · Loretta JacobsonThe staff is Incredibly rude, took the enjoyment out of the stay. Park looks good until it rains and then it floods. Water covers the roads. Bathrooms appear to be clean but are small and dark. We camped at La Boulaie RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
