Lagoon RV Park & Campground Introduce
Welcome to Lagoon RV Park & Campground, situated at 135 Lagoon Dr in Farmington, Utah. For local users searching within the "RV parks near me" category, Lagoon RV Park & Campground offers a location that is notably close to the popular Lagoon Amusement Park, which appears to be its primary highlight according to customer reviews. This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective overview of the RV park based on the available online feedback, covering aspects of its environment, services, and features, while also addressing some of the concerns raised by recent visitors.
One of the most significant aspects of Lagoon RV Park & Campground, as indicated by the reviews, is its proximity to the Lagoon Amusement Park. For travelers planning to visit the amusement park, the RV park's location offers considerable convenience, potentially allowing for easy access without the need for extensive travel. This close proximity is explicitly mentioned as the "only highlight" by one reviewer, suggesting that it is a key factor for choosing this particular RV park.
However, the reviews also raise several concerns that potential visitors should be aware of. One reviewer, who stayed during the off-season in October, described feeling unsafe walking to the restrooms alone due to the darkness and minimal lighting. The lack of a coded entry or locks on the restroom facilities, unlike other campgrounds they had experienced, contributed to this feeling of insecurity. This is a significant point for individuals, especially solo travelers or those with safety concerns, to consider.
Another reviewer described the RV park as "expensive" and "tight," indicating that the campsites might be close together, potentially limiting space and privacy. This is a common concern for RV travelers, as the size and spacing of sites can greatly impact the overall camping experience. Additionally, this reviewer found the bathrooms to be "gross," which suggests potential issues with cleanliness and maintenance of these facilities.
Furthermore, this reviewer noted that early check-in was not allowed without an additional fee, which could be inconvenient for travelers arriving earlier than the standard check-in time. The absence of fire pits was also mentioned, which might be a drawback for those who enjoy having campfires during their RV stays.
The same reviewer also raised a concern about the presence of "likely some crackheads camping in the tent section," which, if accurate, could pose a serious safety and comfort issue for other campers in the vicinity. While this is a subjective observation, it is a point that potential visitors might want to consider and possibly inquire about with the management.
On a more positive note, one reviewer shared a pleasant encounter with a Veteran who was walking his dog in the park. They had a "really cool chat" and found him to be "super friendly," with interesting stories to share. This suggests that there is a possibility of encountering friendly fellow travelers within the RV park community.
The same reviewer also mentioned a "funny smell in the air" and speculated that it might be due to the camp's proximity to a zoo, noting that the Veteran had seen tigers and other animals. If the RV park is indeed located near a zoo, this could be an interesting and unique aspect of the environment, although the associated smells might be a consideration for some visitors.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Lagoon RV Park & Campground appears to be primarily functional, leveraging its location near the amusement park. However, it may suffer from issues such as poor lighting in certain areas, potentially cramped sites, and concerns about the cleanliness and security of the restroom facilities. The proximity to a possible zoo could introduce unique environmental factors, both positive (potential wildlife sightings or sounds) and negative (odors).
In terms of services and features, based on the reviews, Lagoon RV Park & Campground seems to offer:
- RV sites with basic hookups, although the specifics (water, electricity, sewer) and their condition are not detailed.
- Restroom facilities that, according to one review, may lack security features and cleanliness.
- Tent camping areas, which were the subject of a safety concern in one review.
- Proximity to Lagoon Amusement Park, which is the primary draw.
- Potentially, a pet-friendly environment, as indicated by the mention of a dog being walked. However, specific pet policies are not provided.
Features that are explicitly mentioned as lacking include fire pits and the possibility of early check-in without an extra charge.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Farmington, Utah, Lagoon RV Park & Campground's main advantage appears to be its close proximity to the Lagoon Amusement Park. If visiting the park is the primary purpose of the trip, the convenience of this location might outweigh some of the concerns raised in the reviews. However, potential visitors should carefully consider the reported issues regarding safety, cleanliness, site size, and the lack of certain amenities.
To make an informed decision, local users are strongly encouraged to:
- Contact Lagoon RV Park & Campground directly at the provided phone numbers, (801) 451-8100 or +1 801-451-8100, to inquire about the current conditions, safety measures, restroom facilities, site sizes, and available amenities.
- Specifically ask about lighting in common areas, security measures for restrooms, and the park's policies on cleanliness and maintenance.
- Inquire about the proximity to a zoo and any potential impact on the environment (e.g., noise, smells).
- Clarify the early check-in policy and any associated fees.
- Ask about pet policies and any restrictions or designated areas for pets.
- Seek more recent reviews from other online platforms to get a broader and more up-to-date perspective on the RV park.
In conclusion, Lagoon RV Park & Campground in Farmington, Utah, offers a prime location for those visiting Lagoon Amusement Park. However, based on the available customer reviews, potential visitors should be aware of reported issues concerning safety (particularly regarding lighting and restroom security), cleanliness of facilities, potentially tight campsites, and the lack of certain amenities like fire pits. The proximity to a possible zoo might be a unique factor to consider. It is highly recommended to contact the management directly for current information and to read a variety of recent reviews before making a booking decision.

Lagoon RV Park & Campground Reviews
This was our stop before getting to the Grand Canyon the following day on our October road trip. It was fall so off season. I have to say there was no way I would walk to the restooms on my own without my husband. It was very scary in the sense that it was very dark, minimal lighting and at the time not many occupants. I cannot recall if the bathroom was heated at the time, and possibly not however not a huge deal. I just didn't like that there was no lock unlike other campgrounds where normally there is a code to access which made me feel so much more secure. This was not the case and I was concerned for my safety. The nice part was that we met a Veteran and had a really cool chat with him as he was walking his doggo. Super friendly and he shared some great stories. There is a funny smell in the air you will notice. Since the camp is next to a Zoo? The Veteran shared he saw tigers etc. Seems cool.
Feb 01, 2025 · Amber HoangExpensive, tight, gross bathrooms. Doesn't allow early checkin unless you pay. No fire pits. Likely some crackheads camping in the tent section. However, it is close to the amusement park, which is the only highlight of this RV parking lot.
May 04, 2025 · John LIts is a little on the pricey side. Plus they charge per person staying in the camper on top of the nightly rate. But sites are clean anf store has a little of everything and being so close to the park is a blast
Apr 20, 2025 · Sarah HoppeWe think that this is one of the nicer campgrounds that we stay in as we travel around the country. The staff are kind and extremely helpful. the pull through sites are all concrete slabs. Lots of grass and trees. pet friendly.
Oct 14, 2024 · Dale DavisThank You so much for your accommodations when our pickup needed work while we were staying at your campground. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness. We did figure out the bus and trains so we were able to see more of your beautiful area while we were there for our extended time.
