Lakeside Crossing - Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Welcome to Lakeside Crossing - Manufactured Home Community, located at 111 Gold Canyon Dr, Kyle, TX 78640, USA. While our name includes "Lakeside," and historically a lake has been a significant feature of our community, recent feedback indicates important developments regarding this amenity that prospective residents should be aware of. You can reach our management team at (512) 957-9896 or +1 512-957-9896 for further inquiries.
Lakeside Crossing is primarily a manufactured home community offering long-term residency. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," it's important to clarify that our focus is on providing a stable and welcoming environment for individuals and families who own or are looking to purchase manufactured homes within our community. The mention of "Lakeside" in our name has traditionally alluded to a lake that residents have valued as a key aspect of the community environment.
One resident review from a year ago expresses a positive experience, stating, "We have lived here for a year and love it here! Great friendly staff!" This feedback highlights a significant positive aspect of Lakeside Crossing: the welcoming and helpful nature of our staff. A responsive and friendly management team can greatly contribute to the quality of life within a community, addressing resident concerns and fostering a positive atmosphere.
However, more recent reviews raise significant concerns regarding the community's lake. One resident asks, "Why is our lake getting pumped emptied? The construction company is pumping the lake down using the water. We will end up with a dry hole with ALL of our FISH DEAD!!" This review expresses alarm about the ongoing drainage of the lake and the potential negative consequences for the environment and the community's residents, including the loss of aquatic life.
Another resident echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the historical importance of the lake: "This lake is something that makes this community what it is and is part of the selling point to buying here. When the lake is dry it will look awful and will take years to refill. AND AGAIN WHY ARE ALL THE FISH BEING KILLED BY DRAINING THE LAKE!!!!" This feedback underscores that the lake has been considered a central feature and an amenity that contributed to the community's appeal and value. The current drainage situation is clearly a source of significant distress and concern for residents, who anticipate a negative impact on the community's aesthetics and ecological balance.
Considering these recent developments, it is crucial for prospective residents to understand the current status of the lake at Lakeside Crossing. While the community has historically benefited from this natural feature, the ongoing drainage and the concerns raised by residents indicate a significant change in the environment. The long-term implications of this situation, including the potential for a "dry hole" and the time it may take for the lake to refill, are important factors for anyone considering moving to Lakeside Crossing.
Regarding services and features, beyond the lake (in its current state), Lakeside Crossing - Manufactured Home Community likely offers standard amenities typically found in manufactured home communities. These may include:
- Infrastructure for Manufactured Homes: This includes utility hookups such as water, electricity, and sewer connections designed for manufactured homes.
- Roads and Pathways: Well-maintained roads for vehicular access and pathways for pedestrians within the community.
- Management Office: An on-site office for community management and resident services.
- Common Areas: There may be communal spaces such as green areas or potentially a clubhouse, although these are not specifically mentioned in the provided reviews.
- Waste Management: Regular trash and recycling services for residents.
Given the positive comment about the "great friendly staff," it is reasonable to assume that resident services are a priority within the community. However, the current situation with the lake appears to be a significant issue that may overshadow other positive aspects for some potential residents.
The features of Lakeside Crossing have historically included the presence of a lake, which provided aesthetic value and potentially recreational opportunities. The current drainage of the lake represents a significant alteration to this feature. While the community may still offer a friendly staff and a sense of community, the loss of the lake as a viable amenity is a crucial factor to consider.
In terms of promotional information, it is challenging to provide a balanced perspective without acknowledging the serious concerns raised by current residents regarding the lake. While the friendly staff is a definite positive, the potential loss of the lake, which has been a "selling point" for the community, needs to be a central part of any objective introduction. Prospective residents should inquire directly with the management about the reasons for the lake drainage, the expected duration of this situation, and any plans for remediation or restoration.
It is important for potential buyers or renters to visit the property and assess the current state of the lake and the surrounding environment. Engaging in direct conversations with current residents, if possible, could also provide valuable insights into the ongoing situation and its impact on the community.
While Lakeside Crossing is presented as a "Manufactured Home Community," the platform category "RV parks near me" might attract individuals seeking temporary or long-term RV sites. It is essential to confirm with the management whether RVs are permitted and, if so, what specific services and amenities are available for RV residents. The focus of the provided reviews is clearly on the experience of manufactured home residents, particularly concerning the lake.
In conclusion, Lakeside Crossing - Manufactured Home Community in Kyle, TX, has been appreciated for its friendly staff and, historically, for its lake. However, current residents have expressed significant concerns about the ongoing drainage of the lake, which they view as a critical feature of the community. Prospective residents should be aware of this situation and seek detailed information from the management regarding the reasons for the drainage, the anticipated timeline, and any potential impact on the community environment and property values. While the friendly staff remains a positive aspect, the status of the lake is a crucial factor that cannot be overlooked.

Nov 19, 2024 · Susan LaxsonIt’s an okay community. Like negative review say about communication etc. You can have more than two cars cause they won’t fit in the driveway and you can’t park on grass or they’llTow you. Or on the street passed 11pm.Twice a month they’ll let you park in the visitors. They say market rate increase but they are just raising the rent. I’m at year three and I’m paying as much as the house payment. Fromm 450-800 a month. They willForce mow you for 50$ or you can pay the grass guys directly 20$. If you get broken into at the clubhouse, the cameras are there to protect the club house not visitor parking. I’d find a home plus land package cause paying close to 2000$ is just rigged credit system and they are just there to make money.
Aug 23, 2024 · Yair CarrilloThis is the absolute best community to live in. Of course that's dependent if you're looking for a community that does absolutely nothing and the only thing they're good at is raising the lot rent multiple times a year. Have a question? You better be prepared to make numerous calls and never get a call back. The lots are filled with overgrown trees, some growing over your house, but that's your problem not theirs. Be prepared to shell out hundreds of dollars to have trees you didn't ask for nor wanted, trimmed to protect your house from the branches trying to destroy it.Cats! I hope you're a cat lover, because there are cats EVERYWHERE. I'm not sure which cats actually have owners here or which are just here just because, but there's absolutely no attempt to have traps set to be rid of the cat problem. They make sure to remind you to clean up after your dog, but there's plenty of people that don't. Not to mention cats pooping in your yard. The same rules for dog owners, needs to be mandated to outside cat owners as well! This community has a lot of potential but they need to start with communication and actually doing something with the issues rather than ignoring it.
