Love's RV Hookup Introduce
Welcome to Love's RV Hookup, a concept designed to provide a straightforward and accessible option for RV travelers seeking a quick overnight stop, particularly those searching within the "RV parks near me" category while on a longer journey. Located at 12921 Duval Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, USA, Love's RV Hookup aims to offer convenience for those needing a place to rest during their travels. It's important to consider the experiences shared by fellow travelers to determine if this RV hookup meets your specific needs and expectations.
Convenient for a Mid-Trip Stop:
One of the primary advantages highlighted by a guest is the suitability of Love's RV Hookup as a "half way point on a long trip." The ease of access and the straightforward nature of the hookup make it a practical choice for those needing a brief respite during extended travel. The availability of "lots of room for easy back in" is also noted as a positive aspect, simplifying the process of parking and setting up for a short stay. Furthermore, the reviewer mentioned that their site was "level enough" that they didn't even need to unhook their rig, adding to the convenience for a quick overnight pause.
Safety and Accessibility:
For travelers concerned about safety during an overnight stop, Love's RV Hookup offers "good lighting and high enough traffic that we felt safe staying there." The presence of other travelers and the well-lit environment can provide a sense of security, especially for those unfamiliar with the area. This aspect can be a significant factor for individuals or families seeking a secure place to rest during their journey.
Dog-Friendly Amenity:
Traveling with furry companions often requires specific accommodations, and Love's RV Hookup provides a "dog park" which was considered a "really nice touch." This amenity allows pet owners to exercise their dogs in a designated area, which is a valuable feature for those on the road with their animals. Having a safe and convenient space for pets can greatly enhance the travel experience for both owners and their dogs.
Potential Noise Concerns:
While convenience and safety are noted as benefits, it's crucial to acknowledge a significant concern raised by another guest regarding the noise levels at Love's RV Hookup. This reviewer described the experience as "like being at a circus. Loud, noisy and poorly planned location of the sites facing the gas pumps and backing on to the main road." The constant exposure to noise, particularly "loud stereos from cars at the pumps" throughout the night, was a major drawback for this guest. They explicitly stated that it was "not optimal if you need total silence to sleep," even suggesting the use of a white noise machine as a necessity rather than an option.
Site Layout and Location Issues:
The planning and layout of the RV sites appear to be a point of contention. The sites are described as "facing the gas pumps and backing on to the main road," which inherently contributes to the noise issues. This configuration likely exposes RVers to the sounds of fueling vehicles, general truck stop activity, and traffic from the adjacent main road. The reviewer felt that the location was "poorly planned" for overnight RV stays, prioritizing convenience for quick stops over a peaceful resting environment.
Value Perception:
The perceived value of Love's RV Hookup was also questioned by the guest who experienced the noise. They likened the experience to paying "$60 a night" for a noisy environment, stating "not happening again." This suggests that for travelers prioritizing a quiet night's sleep, the cost may not justify the experience, especially when compared to potentially quieter alternatives available within the "RV parks near me" category.
Wi-Fi Performance:
Another significant issue reported by a guest was the poor performance of the Wi-Fi, described as "terrible!" In today's connected world, reliable internet access is often considered a necessity for travelers, whether for work, communication, or entertainment. Poor Wi-Fi can be a major inconvenience, especially for those needing to stay connected while on the road.
Overall Concept vs. Reality:
The concept of an easy pull-in RV stop is acknowledged as a "good one" by the dissatisfied reviewer. However, the actual execution and the resulting experience fell short of expectations. The excitement of trying out this type of service quickly turned into disappointment due to the noise and poor Wi-Fi. This highlights the importance of balancing convenience with the need for a comfortable and restful overnight stay.
Recommendation for Alternatives:
The negative review concludes with a strong recommendation that "There are better places to stop after a long day of driving." This suggests that while Love's RV Hookup may offer a certain level of convenience due to its association with a travel center, travelers prioritizing a quieter and more amenity-rich experience may find better options among other "RV parks near me" in the Jacksonville area.
Why Consider Love's RV Hookup?
Love's RV Hookup might be a suitable option for travelers who prioritize extreme convenience for a very short overnight stop and are less sensitive to noise. The easy pull-in sites and the potential for not needing to unhook can be advantageous for those wanting a quick rest before continuing their journey. The presence of a dog park is a definite plus for pet owners. The perceived safety due to lighting and traffic might also be a factor for some. However, it is crucial to weigh these potential benefits against the significant concerns raised about noise levels and potentially unreliable Wi-Fi.
Services and Features (Based on Reviews):
- Easy pull-in and back-in RV sites.
- Potentially level sites (may vary).
- Full hookups (implied, as it's an RV "hookup").
- Good lighting for safety.
- Dog park.
- Proximity to a Love's Travel Stop (with associated amenities like fuel, food, etc.).
- Potentially unreliable Wi-Fi.
- Exposure to significant noise from gas pumps and a main road.

Make an Informed Decision:
When considering Love's RV Hookup as one of the "RV parks near me" for your travels through Jacksonville, Florida, it is essential to weigh the convenience of its location and ease of access against the potential for a noisy environment and unreliable Wi-Fi. If a quick, no-fuss overnight stop is your primary need and you are prepared for potential noise, it might serve its purpose. However, if a quiet and restful night's sleep and reliable amenities are higher on your priority list, exploring other options in the area may be advisable based on the experiences shared by fellow RVers.

Love's RV Hookup Reviews
We booked the Love's RV site as a half way point on a long trip. It was perfect for us. Lots of room for easy back in. Site was level enough so we didn't have to unhook. Not optimal if you need total silence to sleep, but we had our white noise machine and slept fine. Good lighting and high enough traffic that we felt safe staying there. Dog park was a really nice touch if you're traveling with furry friends.
Mar 03, 2025 · Kim HamlinThe concept of having an easy place to pull in with your rv to stay for the night while on the road is good one, but this is like being at a circus. Loud, noisy and poorly planned location of the sites facing the gas pumps and backing on to the main road. All night long all you hear is loud stereos from cars at the pumps. You might as well call it $60 a night for that experience, not happening again. Oh and the wifi was terrible ! Sorry I was hoping for a better experience as I was excited to try this out. There are better places to stop after a long day of driving.
Nov 12, 2024 · Mike CardWe stayed for one night on our way home from a fabulous trip. This is a perfect stop for us and definitely stop again. We can make sure our tanks are clean before we get home. It was very neat and clean! Now was it a little noisy? Yes, it's a truck stop right off the Interstate! However with the AC on we didn't have any worries about the noise. We slept very well.We felt very safe and comfortable for the night. We loved being able to cook our dinner, takes showers and had a very relaxing night. We could have made our own breakfast in the morning. But Bojangles was so good to grab and get back on the road.My only suggestion would be to offer a 10% discount or give a $5 or $10 gift certificate to use in this store. Thanks we will be back soon!!!
Jun 02, 2024 · Joyce HawleyWe stayed at this loves rv location on our long trip with a 5th wheel. We had plenty of room to pull out all 3 slides on both sides, the restrooms in the gas station were very clean, staff was friendly, and we felt safe with our 3 kids with us. Was there noise? Sure, you’re literally parked at a gas station BUT for an overnight stay on a long trip, it was perfect for us. We didn’t even have to unhook our truck (our 5th wheel is 37 foot) We will definitely use this location again!
Jun 22, 2024 · Samantha LongwellThe RV sites are about 75 ft away from the automotive gas pumps located in the front of the station. Truck diesel fueling is in the rear of the truck stop and not near the RV sites. This is a very busy automotive gas station. Our RV is a 45 ft Prevost coach w/ tow vehicle. What we did is pull to the rear of the truck stop to disconnect our tow (where the semis are parked). We then moved the coach to the RV site & parked the tow. I recommend this for motorhomes with a tow vehicle. The 5 RV sites are about 50 ft in length. We were in site #3. It was a hot 97 degree day having all 4 of our roof 17,500 btu a/c's going full tilt. Voltage stayed strong about 118 vac on both legs with us pulling 45 amps on each leg. Sites are mostly level with slight drop to the rear which is good for surface drainage when it rains. This also kept our front entry close to the ground. Site #4 would have the best rainwater surface drainage with #3 the next.Water is city water. We used about 15 feet of sewer hose to reach the sewer connection. The RV sites are about 200 ft from Duvall Rd. which is a very busy 4 lane. We hardly noticed road sounds from Duvall Rd, but did somewhat notice vehicle sounds driving thru the station & fueling. Love's has several cameras aimed at the RV sites for security.Love's RV Stop WiFi is slow about 8 Mbps down & 4 up. We use T-Mobile for our phones 5 bars very strong 5GUC service with 1,157 Mbps down & 97 up. Our T-Mobile WiFi hot spot is 4g & with 47 Mbps down & 37 up.BTW, Love's has a 10% senior discount for their RV spots!
