When selecting an RV park, key factors include the quality of the facilities, the helpfulness of the staff, the ease of access to the surrounding area, and the overall value for the price. Based on recent customer reviews, Sunny Oaks RV Park appears to excel in these aspects, making it a strong contender for travelers visiting Jacksonville.
Environment: Cleanliness and Accessibility
Multiple reviewers highlight the excellent condition and cleanliness of the facilities at Sunny Oaks RV Park. One guest specifically mentioned that the facilities are "very very well maintained and clean," indicating a high standard of upkeep throughout the park. This attention to cleanliness contributes significantly to a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all visitors.
The park's location offers the advantage of easy access to major roadways, specifically off of I-295 and US Route 1 (New Kings Road). This accessibility is crucial for travelers, making it convenient to arrive at the park and to explore the various attractions and amenities that Jacksonville has to offer. Whether you're looking to visit the beaches, downtown Jacksonville, or other local points of interest, Sunny Oaks RV Park provides a convenient starting point.
Reviewers also noted that the RV lots are primarily gravel and mostly flat. Gravel pads are common in RV parks and can provide a stable and relatively clean surface for parking your RV. The flatness of the lots is also a significant benefit, making it easier to level your RV and set up your campsite comfortably. While one reviewer mentioned that some of the turns within the park are "a little tight," they also noted that their son successfully navigated them with a 43-foot RV, suggesting that while larger rigs may require some careful maneuvering, the park is still accessible to them.
Services and Features: Modern Amenities and Helpful Staff
The staff at Sunny Oaks RV Park consistently receive high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness. One reviewer stated that the "staff were friendly and accommodating," while another noted that the "staff was very helpful and friendly." Positive interactions with park staff can greatly enhance the overall experience, making guests feel welcome and supported during their stay.
A notable feature mentioned in the reviews is the updated laundry facility. This modern amenity offers the convenience of using a Bluetooth-enabled app to pay for and manage laundry loads in the washers and dryers, providing a more efficient and potentially contactless alternative to traditional coin-operated machines. This demonstrates a commitment to providing updated and convenient services for guests.
While other specific amenities such as Wi-Fi, recreational areas, or pet policies are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, the focus on cleanliness, helpful staff, and updated laundry facilities suggests a park that prioritizes the comfort and convenience of its guests.
Value for Price: A Good Option in Jacksonville
One reviewer commented that "the camp ground is good for the price," indicating that Sunny Oaks RV Park offers a reasonable value for the amenities and services provided. This is an important consideration for many RV travelers, and positive feedback on pricing can make a park a more attractive option.

Sunny Oaks RV Park Reviews
We recently stayed at Sunny Oaks RV park and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The facilities are very very well maintained and clean.I appreciated the updated laundry facilities where you had the option to use a Bluetooth enabled app to pay and manage your loads in their washers and dryers vice quarters. The location has easy access off of 295 and Rt 1.I would highly recommend staying here when visiting the Jacksonville area.
Feb 04, 2025 · Debbie JamesThe camp ground is good for the price. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The lots have gravel and are mostly flat. Some of the turns are a little tight, but my son did it with 43ft RV.
May 02, 2025 · Jason FitzpatrickI actually loved this place and all the amenities it offered because I can do laundry, showers, or just use the restroom that they provided there and the people are really nice. The only reason for leaving is because they want to charge $100.00 more per adult 18+ in the camper and I am renting a lot so I feel if I’m renting a lot and I never see that money again and I can never own that lot then that should be as far as our transactions should go as long as I’m not exceeding the limit of ppl the camper can handle. Just my opinion
Feb 26, 2025 · Kenneth KimballMy family and I lived here for 2 years and had a nice experience. James and Tony do a wonderful job with keeping the park looking nice and clean. The laundry is reasonably priced, the park is dog friendly for all breeds, including pit bulls, and they have a small park for kids to play on. Our only major problem during our stay was having a large tree limb fall on our camper, but Hannah was very helpful and had the tree removed. There is road noise, but 295 is close by and is convenient. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and if we are ever back in Jacksonville we will definitely be staying at Sunny Oaks again.
Oct 17, 2024 · Karen CummingsWater pressure at a consistent 50 lb of pressure, backing in requires a shoehorn, 😳 this park also requires a sense of humor and an appreciation for the little things like - lots of dogs in a tiny space yet it all works out. Folks mostly pick up after their dogs, there’s a dog park, the mail and package delivery is seamless, the park is clean and the folks work hard to provide a great park experience. Dee Queezy’s is one serious reason to stay here - they make the best ___ (insert everything and anything here)___. Jacksonville still smells weird ya know? Not much to do except not visit Jacksonville. We went to the beach and it was about 40 minutes. Jax downtown isn’t far about 15 minutes.
