Love's RV Stop Introduce
For local users and travelers searching for "RV parks near me" in the McPherson, Kansas area, Love's RV Stop, located at 2400 E Kansas Ave, McPherson, KS 67460, USA, presents a potentially convenient and amenity-rich option. While typically associated with travel centers, this Love's RV Stop seems to offer a more comprehensive experience for RVers. You can contact them at (620) 504-7010 or +1 620-504-7010 for inquiries and reservations.
Love's RV Stops are part of the well-known Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores network, often providing basic overnight parking for RVs. However, the Love's RV Stop in McPherson, KS, appears to offer significantly more than just a basic stopover. According to one enthusiastic reviewer, it is "VERY NICE!" and exceeded their initial skepticism. This positive feedback suggests that this particular location stands out from typical travel center RV parking areas.
One of the key features highlighted in the positive review is the availability of "nice spots," with options for both back-in and pull-through sites. This variety caters to different RV types and driver preferences, making it easier for travelers to find a suitable spot regardless of their rig size or maneuvering comfort. Pull-through sites are particularly convenient for larger RVs as they eliminate the need to back in.
Cleanliness is another aspect that received high praise, with the reviewer specifically mentioning "very clean showers." Well-maintained and clean restroom and shower facilities are essential for a comfortable RV stay, especially for those who may not have or prefer not to use their onboard facilities. This positive comment indicates a commitment to hygiene at this location.
Beyond the basic necessities, Love's RV Stop in McPherson offers a range of recreational amenities, including pickleball and basketball courts, as well as a dog park. These features enhance the guest experience by providing opportunities for exercise, recreation, and pet care. The inclusion of a dog park is particularly valuable for travelers with pets, offering a safe and designated space for their dogs to run and play off-leash.
The positive reviewer also noted the ease of making changes to their reservation, indicating a flexible and accommodating booking system. This can be a significant advantage for travelers whose plans may change unexpectedly.
However, it is crucial to consider all available feedback to gain a balanced perspective. One negative review reported a significant issue with a canceled reservation and a lack of notification. The reviewer stated that they booked and paid for their stay 35 days in advance and arrived to find their reserved spot filled. Upon contacting customer service, they discovered that their spot had been changed multiple times and then ultimately canceled without any email or phone notification. This experience highlights a potential issue with the reservation system or communication at this location, which prospective guests should be aware of.
Given the contrasting reviews, it is advisable for those considering Love's RV Stop in McPherson to be diligent with their reservations and confirm details directly with the park, especially for advance bookings. While one guest had a perfect experience, another encountered a significant problem with their reservation being canceled without notice.
Based on the available information, the environment of Love's RV Stop in McPherson appears to be more akin to a well-equipped RV park than a basic travel center stopover. The presence of recreational facilities like pickleball and basketball courts, along with a dog park, suggests an effort to create a more engaging and enjoyable environment for guests. The availability of both back-in and pull-through sites further supports this impression.
In summary, the services and features of Love's RV Stop in McPherson, KS, seem to include:
- Back-in and pull-through RV sites.
- Full utility hookups (likely water, electricity, and sewer, although not explicitly stated).
- Clean shower facilities.
- Pickleball court.
- Basketball court.
- Dog park.
- Potentially a convenient location due to its association with a Love's Travel Stop (easy access to fuel, food, and other travel essentials).
- Relatively easy reservation changes (based on one positive review).
However, potential guests should also be aware of the reported issue with canceled reservations and the lack of notification, suggesting a need for careful booking and confirmation.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. To learn about any special rates, discounts for longer stays, or other promotions, it is recommended to contact Love's RV Stop in McPherson directly. They may also have information available on the Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores website or app.
In conclusion, Love's RV Stop in McPherson, KS, offers a potentially surprisingly pleasant and convenient option for those searching for "RV parks near me." The positive review highlights nice spots, clean facilities, and recreational amenities, making it suitable for both short and potentially longer stays. However, the negative review regarding a canceled reservation without notification serves as a cautionary note, emphasizing the importance of verifying booking details. Overall, this location appears to offer more than a typical travel center RV stop and is worth considering for RVers in the McPherson, Kansas area, with the caveat to ensure the reliability of reservations.

Love's RV Stop Reviews
I was skeptical of staying at a Love’s RV Stop but boy was I wrong!!! This Love’s RV Stop in McPherson, KS is VERY NICE! Nice spots, back-in or pull-through. Very clean showers, pickleball, basketball, dog park etc. It was very easy to make changes to our reservation too. PERFECT for our 4 night stay in McPherson!!!!
May 04, 2025 · Nella B. AndersonCANCELED RESERVATION and NO NOTIFICATION!!! Do not recommend it. We booked and paid for our stay 35 days in advance. Pulled 5th to reserved spot on day we booked. Already filled. Called customer service, and she looked up the history of his booking. Changed his spot 4 times, then canceled. No email, no call, no notification!
Mar 23, 2025 · Juile GrayPark was easy to get into, big rig friendly, wide level concrete pads. We only used the 50 amp so can't speak to any other utilities. Park had a pickleball court, gazebo with a grill and a nice tornado shelter and a bathroom/shower building. All looked very new
Feb 09, 2025 · Scott NapierWe always like to use the Loves RV stops when possible for our overnight stays. This one has been the nicest yet. Our pull-thru site 19 was huge. Didn’t use any of the facilities, but the park in general was very well kept. Only con was that there was a trailer that looked like someone was living there. Lots of trashy looking stuff sitting around outside of it.
Sep 22, 2024 · TilUCantWe needed to have some emergency automotive work done while traveling past McPherson, Kansas so we stayed at this Love’s RV Spot for 3 nights. We really liked it and would highly recommend it. There were a few disappointments, but overall, an amazingly nice campground. Here are the positives: (1) Wide level concrete pad sites (2) Easy to connect brand-new electric, water and sewer hookups – electric was 50 and 30 amp and there was a nice low level lighting at the utility connection area for late night arrivals (3) Sites relatively spaced out well – not packed together. (4) Each site had a brand new steel picnic table and several sites had a small steel shelter over their picnic table (5) Two dog parks – one for dogs over 30 lbs and one for dogs under 30 lbs. The dog parks had a picnic table to sit and also poop bag dispensers and a double-gate entrance on a concrete pad (6) the trash dumpsters were enclosed by a privacy fence (7) The only access into the campground was via a closed gate that required a code (8) Two shelters could be used for RV rallys – one had a brand new barbecue grill under it (8) and amazing solid concrete tornado building – specifically built as a tornado shelter that I guess would easily hold 100+ people (9) Nice laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers that took credit cards at $3 a load (10) Two amazing shower rooms – tiled and well appointed with a double head shower and plenty of bench seating with a toilet too (11) One restroom with a baby changing station (12) a walking track around the perimeter of the campground (13) Two pickle ball/basketball courts – the sign said that you can rent the equipment from the adjoining Love’s convenience store (14) Within walking distance of the Love’s convenience store which had lots of food and supplies (15) within walking distance of of a Hardee's restaurant. Now, for the downsides: (A) highway 56 runs along the north side of the campground and there a lots of noisy semi trucks on that highway (B) The Love’s station is a major truck stop and there is lots of noise from the trucks coming and going (C) Somewhere nearby is a train track and trains blow their horn in the night (D) There are no trees – the only shade are the few sites that have a shelter over their picnic table (E)There is grass at the perimeter sites but the center two rows of campsite are just gravel & concrete with no grass (F) Other than the shelter with the barbecue grill, there is no provision for campfires or barbecue grills at the sites (G) a few of the sites in the southwest corner look like the campers had been there for quite a while – perhaps they are employees that work at Love’s? Overall, a great place and we would definitely stay here again.
