McPherson RV Ranch Reviews
Small, quiet and clean. It was the perfect landing place for us to come visit our grandsons for a few days.Their dog area is the best we have found.
Apr 21, 2025 · Shelley RichnoCan’t recommend this place enough! We had some issues with our RV and were stranded in Kansas for a few days, they were super flexible with us arriving late and staying more days than anticipated. The facilities are awesome as well!
Dec 12, 2024 · Kylee GuidryWhat a great place. It is run by the owners - Jim & Lori who are so welcoming, kind and accommodating. The place is very clean and well maintained and we are glad we were able to support another couple owned small business. Stayed one night and will be back if it is along our journey in the future for sure! The spots are nice and wide and the place is easy to navigate. We had a 31’ motorhome towing a 4 door wrangler and had no issues turning around and parking without backup up.
Aug 05, 2024 · Griffin StewartWe recently stayed here for nearly a week while visiting our kid going to the local university. Ignore their website as it's dated. The campground sits in a nice open area. Road noise was minimal even though it is not far from the hwy. They have a long driveway leading to the office, then everything is gravel base. Each site has a slip of artificial turf and a picnic table. We stayed in site #4 I believe, it was fairly level, and a decent storm for the season rolled through and puddling was minimal. We roll in 31 foot Class C with a Slide out, our site had enough room. Hook ups were full, and easy access. Even the sewer had functional threads and was ground level for easy flow. The area around the park is AG, and their is a pond. Our stay was warm, until the storm rolled through and made for a 30 degree drop. Wind was always a bit of an issue, so I wouldn't chance using your awning. Sunsets are nice here, and the lightening storms put on a show. They do have a decent number of long termers, but the overall grounds were well kept. You didn't see any other occupants until sunset as temps cooled. It was always quiet for the most, aside from the folk who leave their "Yappy" dogs alone and locked in their rigs. They are dog friendly, and there is plenty of grass area for your pets. They also have poo bag stations for those they don't carry their own.The "clubhouse" was well kept, houses the bathrooms, showers, and laundry. They have 2 washers and 2 dryers, $1.50 for a wash cycle, and $2.00 for a dry cycle. Both worked well, and the dryers dried in one cycle. They take quarters which you can grab at the front desk. There are also a few tables and a tv, and I did see some board games on a back book shelf. This is also where the storm shelter is located. The couple who run the place are very nice, attentive, and always seemed to be available as they live onsite. Be aware, you will be handed a long set of rules. Obviously they've had issues with guests in the past, and they have their reasons. If I had a complaint, if there was one, is the fact that the gal next to us, and each overnighter on the other side of us had pups. They each had the habit of leaving their pups alone, these pups constantly barked, and barked, and barked, until their humans arrived. We also travel with our pup, she is a bulldog, thus barking nonstop is far to taxing. This is really no fault of the campground owners, as obnoxious barking is one of their many rules, but what do you do. I guess it would just be nice for folks to be aware and respect those around you and sharing space. Trying to work or relax on the road shouldn't be accompanied by daily and all day obnoxious dog barking. There's not much to do in McPherson. Door Dash is available and it does come out the park. I enjoyed this while working. The food in the area was just, meh. Around the park is simply open fields. Nothing of use is in walking distance, which is wonderful to us.Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The rates were decent and less than the Love's up the road. It also has a far better view and grounds.
Sep 27, 2024 · Corey CWe were staying in McPherson for a baseball tournament. It was conveniently located close to the fields. We had a great experience. One of the owners, Jim, was soooo nice and helpful from the beginning. He got us quickly checked in. Also, without going into too much detail, we hit a snag and he went above and beyond to help us out. I highly recommend you stay!
