Cottonwood Grove RV Campground Introduce
Welcome to Cottonwood Grove RV Campground, a straightforward and conveniently located option for RV and tent campers in Hesston, Kansas. Situated at 1001 E Lincoln Blvd, our campground offers a no-frills approach with essential amenities and easy access for travelers. If you're searching for "RV parks near me" and value efficiency and accessibility, particularly if you're passing through the area or traveling the Trans American Trail Route 76, Cottonwood Grove RV Campground provides a practical solution for your overnight or short-term needs.
Streamlined Reservation and Check-In Process
One notable aspect of Cottonwood Grove RV Campground is its modern and efficient reservation and check-in system. According to a recent guest, the entire process, from reservation to check-in, is conducted via email, indicating a contactless and potentially quick way to secure your spot and settle in. This can be particularly appealing for travelers who prefer a seamless and independent arrival, especially when no on-site staff is immediately available.
Basic Amenities for Campers
Cottonwood Grove RV Campground provides essential amenities to accommodate both RV and tent campers. Reviews mention the presence of on-site bathrooms and showers, which are considered "good" by at least one guest. Additionally, coin laundry facilities are available, offering a convenient option for travelers needing to refresh their clothing, especially those on longer journeys like the Trans American Trail Route 76. It's important to note that access to both the bathrooms and the laundry requires a code, which guests should obtain upon reservation or check-in via email.
Primitive Tent Camping Option
For those traveling without an RV, Cottonwood Grove RV Campground offers primitive tent camping sites located near the bathroom facilities. One guest specifically mentioned reserving and paying for a primitive tent site online while bicycling the Trans American Tour Route 76, highlighting the campground's suitability for cyclists and other self-sufficient travelers. The proximity of the tent sites to the bathrooms and showers adds to the convenience for tent campers.
Convenient Access to Local Dining
A significant advantage of Cottonwood Grove RV Campground is its proximity to local dining options. Both reviews mention a Mexican restaurant being within walking distance of the campground. This offers a convenient and easily accessible option for guests looking for a meal without having to drive. The availability of a nearby restaurant can be a welcome amenity, especially after a long day of travel or outdoor activities.
Proximity to a Convenience Store
In addition to the adjacent Mexican restaurant, one review notes that a Casey’s convenience store is located approximately 0.7 miles away from the campground. This provides guests with relatively easy access to a wider range of supplies, snacks, drinks, and potentially fuel, adding to the overall convenience of the location for travelers.
Potential Environmental Considerations
While the campground offers convenience, it's important to consider the environmental factors mentioned in the reviews. One guest noted that the campground is very close to a loud freeway. This proximity could result in noise pollution that some visitors might find disruptive, particularly during the night. Additionally, another review mentioned the presence of "lots of flies and ants," which could be a factor to consider, especially for tent campers or those planning to spend significant time outdoors at their campsite.
Limited On-Site Staff Interaction
The review stating "No one was on-site" suggests that guest interactions with campground staff may be minimal or non-existent upon arrival. The reliance on email for reservation and check-in indicates a self-service approach. While this can be convenient for some, others might prefer having on-site staff available for immediate assistance or inquiries. It is advisable to ensure you have all necessary information, such as the access code for the facilities, prior to your arrival via the email communication.

Cottonwood Grove RV Campground Reviews
No one was on-site. Reservation and check-in done by email. Loud freeway very close and Mexican restaurant within walking distance.Bathrooms on site, but no code was provided.
Apr 19, 2025 · Shelly EastmanPrimitive tent camping by the bathrooms. Reserved and paid online. Stayed the night while bicycling the Trans American Tour Route 76. Bathroom and showers were good. Coin laundry they have. Need a code to get in both. Lots of flies and ants. Mexican restaurant next door. Casey’s 0.7 miles away.
Aug 09, 2024 · DroppinNot big rig friendly (43 ft with Toad=72 ft). Tight navigating to get to our spot which was long enough, just tough to get in to. Good for an overnight stay and the price was $40. We’d probably stay there again as there aren’t many to select from in the area. The staff was kind and helpful and the online reservation system is nice if you’re calling after business hours.
Apr 13, 2024 · Cheryl DavisWe're a 45' motorhome, pulling a car and drove around this campground just fine. Long pull-thru sites with 50amp and great water pressure. Easy to book online.
Sep 14, 2024 · SALNear highway. Less than basic. Had to work to get level. Couldnt find a dump station but maybe they didnt have one. Good for one night quick stay only. Responsive. I was traveling thru. It was behind a mexican restaurant. But considering it was the best sleep i had in days and they answered the phone. Looked like mostly long timers.
