Maple Hills Residential Community Introduce
For local users exploring residential options under the broad category of "RV Parks Near Me," it's important to distinguish between temporary RV parks and long-term residential communities. While the platform might list various types of accommodations, Maple Hills Residential Community in Mills River, NC, located at 14 Maple View Dr, is identified as a mobile home park, catering to longer-term residents rather than short-term RV stays. This introduction aims to provide a detailed overview of Maple Hills Residential Community based on available information, focusing on its environment, services, and features as perceived by its residents.
Maple Hills Residential Community is situated in Mills River, North Carolina. Mills River is known for its scenic location in the western part of the state, offering a blend of rural charm and proximity to larger towns and cities in the region. The environment surrounding Maple Hills likely includes natural beauty, typical of the area, which might have been a significant draw for residents initially. However, recent feedback suggests a potential shift in the overall environment within the community itself.
Based on recent customer reviews, a concerning theme emerges regarding the safety and management of Maple Hills Residential Community. One resident explicitly states that the neighborhood is "no longer a safe neighborhood," corroborating this with an alarming claim of it being necessary to carry a gun while walking a dog. This raises serious concerns about the security and well-being of residents. The same review also mentions a car break-in and issues with noise disturbances late at night, with reports of "multiple strange men walking around my yard till 2 and 3am," leading to a resident feeling unsafe enough to sleep elsewhere on occasion.
Infrastructure within the community also appears to be a point of contention. The presence of "horrible potholes gone without repair" suggests potential neglect of the grounds and could impact the quality of life for residents, affecting vehicle maintenance and overall mobility within the park. This lack of attention to essential maintenance can be a significant drawback for long-term residents.
Financially, residents have expressed dissatisfaction with the increasing cost of living at Maple Hills. The statement "Rent is constantly increasing" indicates a trend that could make it less affordable for residents over time, potentially impacting the community's stability and the financial well-being of its inhabitants.
In terms of services, there seems to be a mixed perception. On a positive note, one reviewer mentions that "the office is helpful when you call them," suggesting that administrative support is available and responsive to resident inquiries. This is a crucial aspect of property management, as it indicates a channel for communication and addressing concerns.
However, other service aspects receive negative feedback. The trash pickup service is described as sometimes being carried out by rude individuals, although the reviewer clarifies that this is "not the fault of the park though." This suggests that while the park may contract out certain services, the quality of these services can still impact the residents' experience.
A notable positive aspect highlighted in one review is the "wonderful" lawn care, with a specific "Thanks!!!" directed towards this service. This indicates that at least one aspect of the community's upkeep is being handled well, contributing to the aesthetic appeal of the grounds.
Regarding tenancy terms, there is a mention of strict policies concerning late rent payments. The statement "Don't ever be more than a couple days late on rent, they are quick to threaten eviction" suggests a rigid approach to rent collection, which could create stress and instability for residents facing temporary financial difficulties.
Feedback regarding the management has been particularly critical, especially concerning a change in personnel. One former resident contrasts the positive experience under previous management (Steve Shepard) with a significant decline under the new property manager (Daniel) and his wife, who manages the office. The terms used to describe the new management are "absolutely horrible!!!" indicating a severe level of dissatisfaction.
Serious allegations are also made regarding the handling of a former resident's move-out process. The claim that "things were taken by maintenance on camera!" is deeply concerning and suggests potential issues with trust and security within the community. Furthermore, the accusation of repairs never being done and the subsequent blaming of "a huge amount of mold" on the departing resident paints a picture of mismanagement and potential unfair treatment.
Considering the information available, it is challenging to present Maple Hills Residential Community as a thriving or desirable long-term living option for local users. The recurring themes of safety concerns, deteriorating infrastructure (potholes), increasing rent, and negative experiences with the new management are significant red flags. While the helpfulness of the office staff over the phone and the quality of lawn care are positive points, they appear to be overshadowed by the more serious issues raised by residents.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Instead, the feedback serves as a cautionary note for anyone considering residing at Maple Hills Residential Community. Potential residents would need to weigh the reported issues against any potential benefits, such as the location in Mills River and the helpfulness of the office staff via phone.
In conclusion, based on the recent feedback from residents, Maple Hills Residential Community appears to be facing significant challenges related to safety, infrastructure maintenance, management practices, and increasing costs. Local users seeking long-term residential options in the Mills River area should carefully consider these concerns and conduct thorough due diligence before making any decisions. It is recommended to seek further, more current information and perhaps speak with current residents directly to gain a balanced perspective that goes beyond the provided reviews. The phone number provided, (828) 581-4043 or +1 828-581-4043, could be used to contact the management for further inquiries, keeping in mind the experiences reported by others.

Maple Hills Residential Community Reviews
No longer a safe neighborhood... the review left by one resident about not being able to walk your dog without a gun is correct. Car has been broken into, and people are walking around outside being loud all hours of the night. Have slept in walmart parking lot because of times I've felt unsafe. (Multiple strange men walking around my yard till 2 and 3am)Horrible potholes gone without repair.Rent is constantly increasing. The office is helpful when you call them, so that's nice. The guys who pick up the trash are rude sometimes, not the fault of the park though.Lawn care is wonderful, I will say that. (Thanks!!!)Don't ever be more than a couple days late on rent, they are quick to threaten eviction.
Sep 20, 2024 · Cassandra GordonThe place was great when managed and serviced by Steve Shepard, new management and maintence went wayyyyy down hill!!! The now property guy Daniel and his wife who manages the office are absolutely horrible!!! Not to mention that when I moved out, I was coming back to clean out mobile home and things were taken by maintenance on camera! And repairs were never done and they blamed a huge amount of mold on me... so yah, nice park, horrible, horrible management now.
Nov 24, 2022 · Nicole DeusoThey took a month to fix a tree that came through my roof and ruined my master bedroom and by fixed I mean they put some particle board over the hole in the ceiling and glued some metal over the hole in the roof. Trailer is filled with mold, floor is falling through. They have had three opportunities to move me out of this place but they rent to others because they know this place is unliveable.Get a lawyer if you move on here. You will need it.
Feb 01, 2019 · Danyelle EdwardsWe moved here about 3 year's ago at first it was amazing quiet peaceful and people was more than friendly but in 2022 they moved a whole bunch of out of countries people in here and I can't even walk my dog without a gun in the summer time it's hell around here think twice about moving here for a long period of time
Jul 09, 2022 · Hope AllisonPark is quiet for the most part, but the homes are not kept up. They just recently raised the rent, and the home was already over priced. Couldn't get ahold of anyone in the office for a problem or even question, unless they needed something from you.
