If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Norton Shores, Michigan area, Mona Lake Mobile Homes Park, located at 3527 Hoyt St #58, Norton Shores, MI 49444, USA, warrants careful consideration based on recent customer feedback. While listed under the category of "RV parks near me," it's important to understand that Mona Lake Mobile Homes Park primarily operates as a long-term residential community for mobile homes. Individuals seeking short-term RV accommodations should contact the park directly at (231) 733-9816 or +1 231-733-9816 to inquire about their suitability for recreational vehicles.
The limited number of available reviews for Mona Lake Mobile Homes Park present significant concerns that potential residents should be aware of. One review details serious allegations of discrimination by staff members identified as Jenifer and Jeremy. According to this account, the reviewer, due to medical conditions experienced in childhood, was allegedly told they were not permitted to live in their girlfriend’s trailer, which the girlfriend had purchased. The review further states that the girlfriend did not receive the title upon purchase or move-in.
This same review goes on to describe a complex situation involving a contractor hired for remodeling the trailer. Allegedly, the staff members, Jenifer and Jeremy, gave the contractor’s brother the lease and allowed him to move into the trailer. The reviewer claims that this action, which occurred over two years prior to the review, was illegal and that the management has not responded or provided an explanation. The contractor’s brother reportedly continues to reside in the trailer, which has not been remodeled as per the original contract. An attempt by the reviewer’s girlfriend to reach an out-of-court settlement was allegedly unsuccessful.
This detailed account raises serious questions about the park's management practices, adherence to legal and ethical standards, and the treatment of residents and their guests. Potential residents should consider these allegations carefully and seek clarification from the park management regarding these issues.
Adding to these concerns, a separate review paints a concerning picture of the park's environment, specifically regarding cleanliness. The reviewer describes the park as "very dirty" and mentions the presence of a significant amount of fecal matter, speculating whether it originated from geese, dogs, humans, or a combination thereof. This suggests a potential lack of adequate sanitation or enforcement of pet waste policies within the park.
The same review further details the presence of other forms of litter, including "a bunch of braids all over the ground" and "diapers on the ground and all." While the reviewer acknowledges that the city's resources may be limited and attributes some of the issue to the behavior of park users, the presence of such waste suggests a potential problem with park maintenance or resident compliance with cleanliness standards. Despite these significant cleanliness issues, the reviewer notes that "other than it being so filthy, its a nice park," which is a contradictory statement that requires careful consideration in light of the detailed descriptions of the park's condition.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," the information presented in these reviews may deter individuals seeking short-term, clean, and well-managed RV accommodations. The allegations of discrimination and the descriptions of unsanitary conditions are not typically associated with reputable RV parks that cater to temporary visitors.
For local users in Norton Shores, MI, who might be considering Mona Lake Mobile Homes Park for long-term residency, these reviews serve as critical pieces of information for their decision-making process. The allegations of discriminatory behavior by staff members raise serious concerns about the potential living environment and the fairness with which residents might be treated. The reported lack of response from management regarding the alleged illegal action further compounds these concerns.
The description of the park's environment as "very dirty" with the presence of various types of waste indicates a potential issue with the overall quality of life and the maintenance standards within the community. Cleanliness is a fundamental aspect of a healthy and pleasant living environment, and the details provided in the review suggest potential shortcomings in this area.
Given the gravity of the issues raised in these limited reviews, prospective residents are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence before considering Mona Lake Mobile Homes Park. This should include contacting the management directly to address the allegations of discrimination and inquire about their policies and procedures for ensuring fair treatment of all residents and guests. It would also be prudent to inquire about the park's maintenance schedule and the measures they take to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the grounds.
Furthermore, if possible, potential residents should consider visiting the park in person to assess the current environmental conditions and observe the overall management and maintenance practices. Speaking with current residents (if feasible) could provide additional insights into the day-to-day living experience at Mona Lake Mobile Homes Park.
It is important to note that promotional information is absent from the provided reviews. The existing feedback focuses almost entirely on negative experiences and concerns regarding management and the environment. Therefore, potential residents should rely on their own investigation and direct communication with the park management to obtain any information that might be considered promotional or to understand any positive aspects the park may offer that are not reflected in the available reviews.
In conclusion, for local users searching under the category of "RV parks near me" but considering long-term mobile home residency in Norton Shores, MI, Mona Lake Mobile Homes Park presents significant concerns based on the limited available customer reviews. Allegations of discrimination and descriptions of a dirty and unsanitary environment should be carefully evaluated. Prospective residents are strongly encouraged to conduct thorough research and seek direct clarification from the park management before making any decisions regarding residency.

Mona Lake Mobile Homes Park Reviews
I was discriminated by staff members Jenifer and Jeremy for medical conditions I had as a child. Being told as an adult I was not allowed to live in my girlfriend’s trailer of which she purchased. They did not give her the title upon purchase or move in. When she contracted the trailer for remodel with a live in contractor. Jenifer and Jeremy gave the contractors brother the lease and allowed him to move in. It’s been over two years and they still won’t respond to this illegal action. Or explain themselves. The contractors brother still lives there, refuses to leave and the trailer has not been remodeled as stated in the contract. My girlfriend attempted to give the contractor and his brother an abridged contract as an out of court settlement for the full amount of the trailer. It was not taken seriously.
Mar 12, 2025 · Hunter Kingit's very dirty, full of poop from geese? dogs? humans? or maybe all 3. idk.there were also a bunch of braids all over the ground, diapers on the ground and all. I understand the city can only do so much and that the people who use the park are the ones destroying it. So sad. other than it being so filthy, its a nice park.
Aug 20, 2023 · Jelly LThis place is awesome and I love the small community. Some of the community members have been living there for 15 years. So it must be a great place to live. Everyone takes care of their own lawn care and even the open lots are always well kept.
Jun 12, 2019 · RoseClose to a few different parks. Family friendly, pet friendly.
Sep 10, 2024 · Charles Leeroy (Murph)Biggest positives are Mona Shores public schools and proximity to many places. Too many kids playing in the roads. Pavement is uneven and poorly taken care of.
