Nantahala Tiny Homes and RV Park Introduce
Are you a local user searching for "rv parks near me" in the Bryson City, North Carolina area, seeking a blend of scenic beauty, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere? Nantahala Tiny Homes and RV Park, located at 2079 Silvermine Rd, Bryson City, NC 28713, USA, presents a unique option that combines the charm of tiny home living with the convenience of an RV park. While the reviews offer a mixed perspective, with overwhelmingly positive feedback countered by one significant concern, it's crucial to consider all aspects when evaluating this destination for your mountain getaway.
The Environment: Scenic Mountain Setting with Creek Sounds
Several reviewers consistently praise the scenic environment surrounding Nantahala Tiny Homes and RV Park. The location in Bryson City places it within close proximity to the Nantahala National Forest and the majestic Great Smoky Mountains, renowned for their lush greenery, hiking trails, and breathtaking vistas. The "scenery" is specifically highlighted as a positive aspect, suggesting that guests can expect to be immersed in the natural beauty of western North Carolina. Adding to the ambiance is the sound of a nearby creek, described as "helping put you to sleep every evening," indicating a tranquil and relaxing auditory backdrop to your stay.
However, one critical review raises a significant concern about the park's immediate location, stating that it is "located on the side of the road!" This reviewer expressed safety concerns regarding passing traffic and the potential for accidents. This is a crucial point to consider, especially for those sensitive to road noise or traveling with young children or pets. It's advisable to further investigate the proximity and nature of the road mentioned to assess if it aligns with your comfort and safety expectations.
Despite this concern, the overall impression from the majority of reviewers is that the broader environment offers the quintessential mountain experience that draws visitors to this region. The opportunity to wake up to scenic views and the soothing sounds of a creek remains a strong appeal for those seeking a peaceful retreat in nature.
Services and Features: Cleanliness, Tiny Homes, and Welcoming Hosts
Nantahala Tiny Homes and RV Park offers a range of services and features that have garnered positive feedback from many guests:
- Tiny Home Rentals: A unique aspect of this park is the availability of tiny homes for rent. One reviewer specifically raved about a tiny home built by Avery, describing it as "AWESOME!!!!" This suggests that these tiny homes are well-constructed and offer a comfortable and memorable lodging experience, providing an alternative to traditional RV stays.
- Cleanliness: Multiple reviewers emphasize the cleanliness of the campground. One described it as the "most convenient and cleanest campground in the area," and another simply stated it was "very clean." This focus on hygiene is a significant plus for any traveler seeking a comfortable and worry-free stay.
- Welcoming and Attentive Hosts: PattiJo and Avery, the operators of the campground, are consistently praised for their hospitality. Reviewers mention the positive conversations with them and highlight that they "take pride in every aspect" of the campground. This personal touch and dedication from the hosts can greatly enhance the guest experience, making visitors feel welcome and valued.
- Convenient Location: The campground is described as "most convenient" in the area by one reviewer. While another raises concerns about its roadside location, the general sentiment suggests that it offers good accessibility to the surrounding attractions and possibly local amenities.
- Returning Guests: The fact that multiple reviewers mention returning for multiple trips and planning future visits speaks volumes about the positive experiences they have had at Nantahala Tiny Homes and RV Park. This loyalty suggests a high level of satisfaction among a significant portion of their clientele.
However, the negative review also points out a potential lack of amenities for pet owners, stating that "there was no where to walk them, not even any grass." This is a crucial consideration for those traveling with dogs and highlights a potential limitation of the park. It's advisable for pet owners to inquire specifically about designated pet areas and walking options before booking.

Nantahala Tiny Homes and RV Park Reviews
Multiple trips here and will keep returning until our mountain home is built. We just returned on November 8th for a weekend stay without our travel trailer and stayed in one of the tiny homes. This tiny home built by Avery is AWESOME!!!!The location, price, scenery and time spent conversing with the Taylor's was by far the best. Please consider renting a tiny home and have monetary funds left over to explore the area. Google would not allow a second review so I have updated this one. Most convenient and cleanest campground in the area. PattiJo and Avery run this campground and they take pride in every aspect of it.Very clean, scenic and the sound of the creek will help put you to sleep every evening. Most neighbors we spoke with return every year as this place is Awesome! We will be returning as well in September as long as they have availability.Thank you so much for our week-long stay and we hope to see you in September.
Nov 13, 2024 · Dennis J McBrideWe were totally disappointed as soon as we pulled in. First of all it’s located on the side of the road! I would not be able to sleep at night thinking a vehicle would come around the corner and plow into us. We also had dogs and there was no where to walk them, not even any grass. I’ve written them with my complaints but haven’t heard a word. I don’t recommend this place. There are several around which were so so much better.
Dec 06, 2024 · Cynthia GranthamSuch a wonderful place to stay! We have stayed here in an RV, a tent and we have stayed in there tiny homes. All of our stays have been wonderful! My kids love playing in the creek, playing ping-pong and tetherball! Their private bathrooms with showers are the nicest I’ve seen at a campground! Very close to the Nantahala outdoor Center on a quiet road.Patty Jo and Avery are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! They cooked a large meal for the campground the last two years on the 4th of July! You’ll love it there!
Jul 11, 2024 · Ashley MullenThis is in a nice little spot by the NOC in Bryson City. It is a campground off the road, but it is a small and quiet road. You won't get cars really coming through here. The campsites are also gravel. It's a perfect spot for campers, and it's also a good spot for tent campers if you have a good footprint. The bath houses are plenty to get the job done and there's a creek right behind the sites. The owner is as nice and sweet as can be. 10/10 will camp again.
Apr 07, 2024 · Well, Dang!My wife and I are full time RVER'S and have stayed in more than 70 campgrounds around the country. Nantahala Tiny Homes and RVCampground has become Our Favorite Campground. This place is 2 miles off of highway 19/74 on Silvermine Rd. Across from NOC. It s tucked away in the mountains. You are out of the hustle and bustle, but close enough (20 minutes) to Bryson City, which makes it very convenient. The campground's location allows you to choose from numerous rivers to fly fish along with multiple rafting companies nearby so to raft the Nantahala River. There are multiple other Rivers and Lakes that are all within a few miles of this campground. Bryson City, Cherokee, Maggie Valley & Murphy NC are just a nice drive away. The bath/shower facilities & laundry room are always kept very clean. The campsites are spacious and level with a beautiful creek behind all of them. The owners are very knowledgeable about RVs and helpful if you have any problems arise. We felt at home In their campground paradise and feel very comfortable in our rating of 5 stars! We highly recommend staying at Nantahala Tiny Homes & RV!🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
