Oaks Senior Community Introduce
Nestled in the scenic landscape of Oroville, California, Oaks Senior Community presents itself as a tranquil and secure residential option for seniors seeking a peaceful and affordable lifestyle. While some online platforms might categorize it under "RV parks near me," it's important to note that Oaks Senior Community primarily functions as a long-term mobile home park designed for senior residents who own their homes within the community. However, the emphasis on a serene environment and a sense of security aligns with the desires of many individuals exploring RV park options for a comfortable and safe living experience.
Located at 185 Clubhouse Pkwy in Oroville, CA, Oaks Senior Community benefits from its location amidst natural beauty. Residents frequently mention the "beautifully green" environment, characterized by numerous trees and plants that create a lush and inviting atmosphere. This abundance of greenery also fosters a thriving wildlife population, with residents reporting sightings of deer, quail, various birds, and even the occasional peacock. For nature enthusiasts, the opportunity to observe wildlife in their daily surroundings adds a unique charm to life at Oaks Senior Community.
A significant feature highlighted by residents is the sense of security provided by the gated entrance, particularly at night. This added layer of security contributes to the feeling of safety and peace of mind, which is highly valued by the community members. The contact numbers for Oaks Senior Community are (800) 700-5522 and the mobile number +1 800-700-5522, offering convenient ways to reach the management for inquiries.
Resident feedback offers valuable insights into the management and maintenance of Oaks Senior Community. One resident shared a positive experience with both Lori, the owner, and Rick, the maintenance manager. The owner was described as compassionate and helpful, even providing advice on matters unrelated to the park itself. The maintenance manager was commended for his responsiveness and professionalism in handling a tree trimming request, ensuring the work was done quickly and efficiently with thorough cleanup. This personal account suggests a management team that is attentive to residents' needs and strives to maintain the property effectively.
The sense of community at Oaks Senior Community is another aspect that residents appreciate. The neighbors are consistently described as "super friendly," fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. For seniors looking to build connections and enjoy a sense of belonging, this friendly atmosphere can be a significant draw.
Many residents express gratitude for the "peaceful, affordable, and extremely pleasant" living environment at Oaks Senior Community, particularly appreciating views of the creek and the surrounding hills. This suggests that the location offers a tranquil setting that contributes to a relaxed and enjoyable retirement experience.
However, resident reviews also point out a few areas where improvements could be made. One concern raised is the varying levels of property maintenance among the homes. While some residences are beautifully kept, others are described as being in "terrible neglect," with a few appearing abandoned. This inconsistency in property upkeep could potentially affect the overall aesthetic and appeal of the community.
Another point of feedback concerns the restrictive nature of what residents can do with the property on which their house sits. While the specific restrictions are not detailed, prospective residents should inquire about these regulations to ensure they align with their expectations and needs for personalizing their living space.
Accessibility and communication with the property manager are also mentioned as potential drawbacks. One resident expressed the hope that they would not have an emergency requiring contact with the property manager, suggesting potential challenges in reaching or receiving timely assistance. This is an important consideration for seniors who may require more frequent support or have urgent needs.
Furthermore, the lack of a community webpage or online presence is noted as a disadvantage. In today's digital age, a website could serve as a valuable resource for residents, providing a directory, forum for communication, information on events and news, and even a convenient way to pay monthly lot fees online. The absence of such a platform means that residents may rely on more traditional and potentially less efficient methods of communication and management.
Despite these drawbacks, the overall sentiment from residents is positive. The appreciation for the safe environment, the natural beauty, the friendly neighbors, and the affordability of Oaks Senior Community appears to outweigh the concerns raised. For many, the "good definitely outweighs the bad," making it a desirable place to live.
For local users in the Oroville area who are seniors seeking a long-term, gated community with a focus on natural beauty and a friendly atmosphere, Oaks Senior Community is worth exploring. While it may be listed under "RV parks near me" on some platforms, its core offering is a stable and secure residential environment for senior mobile home owners. Contact them at (800) 700-5522 or +1 800-700-5522 to learn more about current opportunities and to experience the unique charm of this senior community firsthand. Oaks Senior Community Reviews
I love how safe it is here. Nothing like the feeling of being safely secured behind a gate at night. I had heard some rumors about management but I can only personally speak on what I experienced. Both Lori (owner) & Rick (maintenance manager) have been helpful to me. Lori gave me some great helpful advice during a phone conversation a few years back regarding my aging mother and was more than compassionate. When I received a notice from my homeowners insurance company telling me to get the trees cut back, I placed a call to the main number, left a message for Rick and he called me back fairly quick (within a few days or so). After I submitted the tree cutting request in writing with pictures, he had somebody come out so fast and they did such a wonderful job trimming these tall trees back. They cleaned up the mess and everything! I appreciated the professionalism.
Sep 23, 2024 · Rev Kimber AlexanderI purchased my home at The Oaks 9 months ago and absolutely love it here. It’s beautifully green with so many trees and plants, there is abundant wildlife (deer, quail and other birds, ducks…even saw 3 peacocks recently!), and the neighbors are super friendly. I look at the view of the creek behind my house and over the rooftops and out to the hills beyond and I’m grateful every day for this peaceful, affordable and extremely pleasant place to retire. There are, however, a few drawbacks. Some houses are beautifully maintained, while others are in terrible neglect. A few appear to be abandoned and need to be torn down and the lot cleared. What you can and cannot do with the property on which your house sits is very restrictive, and if you need to contact the property manager…we’ll, hopefully you don’t have an emergency. Also, as far as I know, there is no community webpage for the park. If I were more knowledgeable about running and maintaining a website, I’d create one for residents. It would be great to have an online site for directory, forum, events, news and even a way to accept monthly lot fee payments online (this is the only place for which I write a check anymore!).That said, The Oaks is a great place to live. I love my home, the views, wildlife and neighbors. For me, the good definitely outweighs the bad.
Aug 19, 2023 · cherie savageAlthough I feel safe here, I also have a feeling that the rules here are a little bit unlivable. It is a quiet community, people here are friendly, and it is safe..But to not be able to contain your pets in any way shape or form buy a fencing is irrational. Many of the people living in this park are too old to be able to get up and go outside and walk their pets. Not only that but if you let your kitties outside don't be confident that they will make their way home. It's beautiful, nice trails to walk on.But maybe some updating for rules considering this is a senior park.
Jun 05, 2023 · Lynda Lee AlversonCan't get any one to return your calls. We've called multiple times the last 3 weeks. The park phone number on Google, is for an answering service, who says they'll pass your message onto the park manager; either the answering service never let's the manager know that you've called, and, or, the manager doesn't care to call you back.If you go into the park office, it's always closed with no one in it. The number on the office door, for the park manager and for maintenance concerns is for the same answering service. This is unprofessional park management at it's finest. My grandmother was interested in buying a home in the park; she couldn't get a hold of the park, over the phone, or in person. If management can't be concerned enough to answer her calls or mine, before she even becomes a resident, it shows me that this isn't the park for her to live in.Imagine if she was a resident and had a problem or an emergency; she wouldn't have park management to help her.Really sad seniors are treated this way. Definitely will not be buying a home here.
Mar 21, 2023 · Sailing NomadVery rude owner/ manager! My clients were half way through escrow in a purchase of a mobile home in this park when we found out their application was denied! Both my clients have decent credit with the exception of 1 minor blemish 5 years Ago ( not bankruptcy or eviction we're talking minor) and met the income qualification.. the park requires and in-person application and I hope this was not a discriminatory act due to one of the buyers being disabled!! The owner was very rude and hung up the phone when my clients were asking if there was any solution ( maybe a co signer or paying several months space rent up front ect).. very disappointed in the professionalism of this staff..
