Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park Introduce
Welcome to Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park, located at 308 S Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA 23005, USA. For local individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' or considering a long-term residence in a mobile home park in the Ashland, Virginia area, Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park presents a community with distinct characteristics. While a direct phone number is not provided in the available information, the address can be used for inquiries or visits.
Based on the feedback from former residents, Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park appears to be a community with a strong emphasis on order and maintenance. One long-term resident who lived in the park for nine years during their twenties describes the owner as someone who "runs a tight ship" and has a zero-tolerance policy for troublemakers, excessive noise, and residents who fail to maintain their mobile homes and lots. This suggests a community where rules are strictly enforced, potentially leading to a more peaceful and orderly environment compared to parks with less stringent management.
This former resident also highlights the positive aspects of raising a family in Palm Leaf, stating that it was a "safe and clean place." This is a significant endorsement for families seeking a stable and well-kept environment for their children. The affordability of Palm Leaf is also noted, with the reviewer suggesting it as a "great affordable option" for individuals and families in the Richmond and surrounding areas who are navigating the currently expensive housing market and may not yet be able to afford a starter home. Furthermore, the park is presented as a suitable option for older retirees living on a fixed income, implying that the cost of living within Palm Leaf is relatively manageable.
The positive experience of this former resident, who stated they would "gladly move back" under different financial circumstances, speaks to the positive aspects of the community during their time there, particularly regarding safety, cleanliness, and affordability.
However, another review presents a contrasting perspective, focusing on challenges encountered when trying to interact with the owner and concerns about the value for money. This reviewer mentions that it "took forever to get in touch with owner" and describes her as "very rude" and someone who makes prospective residents handle all the paperwork. This feedback suggests potential difficulties in communication and a less than welcoming initial interaction with the management.
This reviewer also strongly discourages others from considering Palm Leaf, stating they "Wouldn't recommend to an animal." This harsh assessment is further compounded by the opinion that the cost is "Way to much for a trailer park!!!!!! In Ashland at that." This indicates a significant dissatisfaction with the perceived value of living in Palm Leaf, particularly in relation to its location in Ashland.
Considering these two divergent reviews, Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park appears to be a community with both positive and negative aspects. The emphasis on strict rules and maintenance, which contributed to a safe and clean environment for one long-term resident, may also be perceived as overly rigid or unwelcoming by others. The affordability, highlighted as a benefit in one review, is directly contradicted by another who finds it too expensive for a trailer park in Ashland.
Information regarding specific services and features offered at Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park is limited in the provided data. Typically, mobile home parks offer essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity hookups. Some may also provide amenities like laundry facilities, community centers, playgrounds, or maintenance services. Without specific details for Palm Leaf, it is impossible to confirm which services and features are available to residents. The reviews primarily focus on the management style, overall environment, and cost.
Similarly, no promotional information is included in the provided data. It is unknown if Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park currently offers any special rates, move-in incentives, or other promotions to attract new residents. Prospective residents would need to contact the management directly to inquire about any potential offers, while also being mindful of the contrasting experiences reported in the available reviews.
For local users in Ashland, VA, searching for 'RV parks near me' or considering long-term mobile home living, Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park presents a community with a reputation for strict management and a focus on maintaining a clean and orderly environment. This may be appealing to those who value peace and quiet and appreciate a well-maintained community. However, potential residents should also be aware of the reported challenges in communicating with the owner and the contrasting opinions on the affordability of the park.
Prospective residents are strongly advised to conduct their own due diligence. This should include attempting to contact the owner to gauge their responsiveness and communication style. Visiting Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park in person would also offer a valuable opportunity to assess the environment, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere of the community. If possible, speaking with current residents (while being mindful of potential biases) could provide further insights into the day-to-day living experience and the enforcement of community rules.
When searching for 'RV parks near me' or long-term housing, it is essential to balance factors such as affordability, safety, community environment, and management style. Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park appears to offer a safe and clean environment due to its strict management, which may be a significant draw for some. However, the reported difficulties in communication with the owner and the concerns about the cost relative to its location are factors that should be carefully considered by potential residents.
In conclusion, Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park in Ashland, VA, offers a community with a strong emphasis on order and maintenance, potentially providing a safe and clean environment. However, prospective residents should be prepared for strict management and should also investigate the current cost of living and the reported challenges in communication with the owner to determine if Palm Leaf aligns with their individual needs and preferences for long-term residency.

Palm Leaf Mobile Home Park Reviews
I lived in Palm Leaf for 9 years when I was in my 20’s. The owner runs a tight ship and doesn’t tolerate people causing trouble, making too much noise, or failing to maintain their mobile home or the lot. I raised my son here and it was a safe and clean place to have a family. With the crazy expensive housing market in the Richmond and surrounding areas at this time, I think living somewhere like Palm Leaf is a great affordable option for people who can’t afford a starter home just yet. It’s also a great place for older retirees living on a fixed income. I’ve said to my family many times that I’d gladly move back should I ever find myself in a different financial situation than I am now.
