Palm Village Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Largo, Florida area, Palm Village, located at 12474 66th St N, Largo, FL 33773, USA, presents itself as an affordable mobile home community that may also accommodate RVs. The available customer reviews offer a mixed perspective, highlighting both the financial accessibility and the responsiveness of some maintenance while also raising concerns about the timeliness of certain repairs.
One reviewer shares a very positive experience, stating, "This mobile home community really helped me and my family. GOD BLESSED US WHEN FINDING THIS PLACE IN OUR SITUATION." This strong endorsement suggests that Palm Village can be a supportive and helpful environment, particularly for those facing challenging circumstances. The reviewer specifically mentions that the move-in costs were "not too expensive," making it an accessible option for families or individuals on a budget.
The same reviewer also praises the management, describing it as "perfect." They provide a specific example of excellent service, recounting how "Tom did amazing coming out even late at night to fix a wire shortage in the power." This highlights a significant strength of Palm Village: responsive emergency maintenance. Knowing that management is willing to address critical issues promptly, even outside of regular hours, can provide peace of mind to residents.
Furthermore, this reviewer emphasizes the affordability of Palm Village, stating, "It's actually very affordable when a family starting out or even as a single parent." This reinforces the idea that the community offers budget-friendly housing options in the Largo area. While acknowledging that "The places are small," the reviewer still finds them to "make a great home," suggesting that the size is manageable and the community provides a positive living experience despite potential space limitations.
The maintenance team also receives positive feedback in this review: "Maintenance Works tirelessly on fixing up different mobile homes in cleaning up around the area." This indicates that there is an active effort to maintain and improve the properties within Palm Village and to keep the overall area clean and presentable.
Finally, this positive review commends the office staff: "The women up front was awesome very straightforward no issues very nice I can't remember her name." This suggests that interactions with the administrative staff are generally positive, characterized by clear communication and a friendly demeanor.
However, another reviewer presents a starkly contrasting experience, raising significant concerns about the responsiveness of non-emergency maintenance. They state, "Rent is cheap but if you get an issue it can take upwards of a year to fix, currently on 13 months of a leaking roof." This is a serious allegation, as a leaking roof can lead to significant property damage, mold growth, and a compromised living environment. The fact that this issue has persisted for over a year despite being reported is deeply troubling.
Adding a touch of dark humor, the reviewer notes, "Although it is nice having a shower in the living room when it rains. This isn’t a place rain is supposed to come in." This ironic comment underscores the severity and inconvenience of the unresolved roof leak.
The same reviewer also details self-initiated repairs due to the lack of timely maintenance: "Had to fix the toilet issue and shower issues myself but unfortunately the floor is soft in the bathroom because I didn’t just fix it last year even though I’ve told maintenance. It’s September by the way." This indicates a pattern of delayed maintenance, forcing residents to take matters into their own hands. The mention of a soft bathroom floor resulting from a long-standing issue further highlights the potential for neglected repairs to lead to more significant problems over time.
The reference to "It's September by the way" likely indicates the time of the review relative to the ongoing 13-month roof leak, emphasizing the extended duration of the unresolved issues.
Considering these contrasting reviews, Palm Village appears to be an affordable option in Largo, FL, with management that is responsive to emergency situations. The maintenance team is also reportedly active in general upkeep. However, there are significant concerns about the timeliness of non-emergency repairs, with at least one resident experiencing prolonged delays in addressing critical issues like a leaking roof and bathroom floor damage.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Largo, it is important to determine if Palm Village accommodates RVs and, if so, what the terms and amenities are. As it is described as a "mobile home community," the infrastructure and focus may be primarily geared towards manufactured homes. If RVs are permitted, potential residents should inquire about the availability of hookups (water, sewer, electricity), site sizes, and the park's policies regarding RV living.
Given the conflicting reports on maintenance responsiveness, anyone considering living in Palm Village, whether in an RV or a mobile home, should carefully weigh the affordability and the positive experiences with emergency maintenance against the potential for lengthy delays in other repairs. It might be beneficial to inquire about the average response times for different types of maintenance requests and to speak with current residents (if possible) to get a broader understanding of their experiences with the park's upkeep.
In conclusion, Palm Village in Largo, FL, offers an affordable living option with seemingly responsive emergency maintenance and a helpful management team. However, there are significant concerns raised about the timeliness of non-emergency repairs, with at least one resident experiencing very long delays in addressing critical issues. Potential residents should carefully consider these factors and conduct thorough due diligence to determine if Palm Village meets their needs and expectations regarding both cost and property maintenance.

Sep 08, 2022 · bobo da hoboI lived here for only about a month and it was pleasant up u til the end. The management is not to be trusted. They threw all of my belongings into a dumpster except for what they wanted to keep for themselves. Stole all of our nice property and attempted to lie about it. The cops had to be called in order to retrieve just a few things that were taken and not thrown away. The management gave no notice or spoke a word to me between moving in and the incident. Would not recommend.
May 22, 2018 · Eric GrayI went through this rundown trailer park and felt sick. I was searching for a place for two friends to rent for awhile and saw things that should be reported to the police. A miniatous man was kicking a stray cat, people were yelling, music was so loud that nobody could sleep. So, please do not rent a day from this management. Looks dangerous in there to me
Dec 28, 2022 · Norma WilliamsGood place, repairs take a bit but there done well. The manager Dawn is fun and really chill. The prices on trailors are a little high but there's a lot of cool people in the park. Overall. It's a good place to live
