Whether you are a local resident seeking a weekend escape or a traveler passing through, Poche Plantation RV Park provides a welcoming environment for your recreational vehicle.
Poche Plantation RV Park boasts a beautifully landscaped setting, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere for all guests. The grounds are meticulously maintained and kept very clean, ensuring a pleasant visual experience throughout your stay. Imagine parking your RV amidst lush greenery and enjoying the quiet ambiance of the Louisiana countryside. This park offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat.
While the park may have a non-traditional check-in process, as noted by some guests, the friendly community spirit often shines through. Upon arrival, it's advisable to find an available spot without a cone and then inform the staff at the on-site restaurant of your location. The restaurant, when open, serves as a central point for check-in and any inquiries you might have. This unique approach adds a touch of Southern hospitality, where fellow guests and restaurant staff can assist you.
One of the standout features of Poche Plantation RV Park is its community building. This shared space offers individual, non-gender-specific showers, ensuring privacy and convenience for all campers. A laundry room is also available, allowing you to take care of your laundry needs during your stay, which is particularly beneficial for longer trips. For those seeking relaxation and leisure, the community building also houses a library complete with a beautiful porch and a charming swing. Imagine spending a quiet afternoon reading a book on the porch, enjoying the gentle breeze and the peaceful surroundings.
Poche Plantation RV Park caters to both short-term and potentially long-term stays. While some reviews indicate a significant number of full-time residents, the park's quiet atmosphere and friendly community make it a potentially comfortable option for various durations. For those on a transient journey, the park offers a convenient and tranquil stopover.
While some past guests have pointed out areas for potential improvement, such as the check-in process and the upkeep of certain amenities like the hot tub and clubhouse, it's important to consider that these observations represent individual experiences. The management has the opportunity to address these points to further enhance the guest experience. The positive aspects, such as the beautifully landscaped grounds, the cleanliness of the park, and the availability of essential facilities like the community building with showers, laundry, and library, contribute significantly to the park's appeal.
For those interested in the history of the region, the grounds surrounding the Poche Plantation house offer a glimpse into the past. While formal historical tours or informational signage may not be readily available within the RV park itself, exploring the grounds can provide a sense of the rich heritage of the area. Guests are encouraged to be mindful and respectful while exploring.
The on-site restaurant offers an added convenience for guests, providing a place to dine without having to leave the property. However, it's worth noting that the restaurant's operating hours may vary, as indicated by a past closure on a Saturday night. It's advisable to inquire about the restaurant's schedule upon arrival.
In summary, Poche Plantation RV Park presents a unique opportunity to experience the tranquility of the Louisiana countryside. Its beautifully landscaped environment, coupled with essential amenities like clean showers, laundry facilities, and a charming community building, makes it a noteworthy option when searching for "RV parks near me." While some aspects of the park have received mixed feedback, the potential for a peaceful and comfortable stay is evident. Poche Plantation RV Park Reviews
Nice little RV Park. There is not an office and it was a bit confusing checking in. Another guest told us to just park then tell someone in the restaurant on the property which site we were in. When the restaurant opened an hour later, I did just that. There is a community building with individual non gender showers, laundry room, and library with a beautiful porch and sweet swing. Park is beautifully landscaped and very clean.
Apr 30, 2025 · Kathy SutherlandStayed this past weekend. I have very mixed feelings about the park. First, the service upon arrival was horrible. Went to check in and they had no clue I was coming or what spot to put me in or the rate to pay. I was told to find a spot without a cone and come back and let us know. Once I set my self up went back was asked to pay more than amount told when booking my stay. I felt bad for the girl in the restaurant as she had nothing to look at to see who was coming that weekend. When I showed her the text from booking she didn’t recognize the number. Second, the park is 80-90% full time live in campers. Not a big issue but make one section for transits. Having a truck on blocks with tires removed parked next to me was not great to see every time I came outside. Third, hot tub and clubhouse were dirty and unused. Also I wish they would have some places to learn the history of the plantation. We walked the grounds around the house and felt we were trespassing versus being guest. Forth, the restaurant was closed on Saturday night. The good. Non of the issues are major fixes just minor changes. The park has a lot of potential and I will give them another shot at a later date. I’m would hope some of the issues we had with check in and restaurant were just by chance and not the norm. The park is very quiet and the few people we met were very nice.
