Rambo RV Park Introduce
For local residents and travelers searching for "rv parks near me" in Shelbyville, Tennessee, Rambo RV Park, located at 709 E Lane St, offers a location with notable convenience to nearby amenities. However, based on recent customer reviews, potential guests should be aware of both the advantages and significant drawbacks associated with this RV park to make an informed decision. The feedback presents a dichotomy, highlighting its convenient location and perceived safety while also raising serious concerns about management practices, noise levels, and certain services.
The environment surrounding Rambo RV Park is characterized by its urban proximity. One reviewer explicitly points out the "great location if you don't feel like driving," noting its walkability to a McDonald's and the short distance to a Dollar General and a BP gas station right across the street. This convenience to everyday necessities and fast food options can be a significant advantage for those who prefer not to drive frequently or who are looking for easy access to these services. For local users who value walkability and proximity to such amenities when considering "rv parks near me," Rambo RV Park offers a notable benefit.
However, the immediate environment also presents potential drawbacks. One reviewer mentions that an "animal shelter right next door about 10 yards away" results in "dogs who bark non stop." This constant noise could significantly impact the peace and quiet of the RV park, potentially making it a "very hard place to get sleep," as stated by the reviewer. Additionally, the frequent sound of "constant sirens going off all throughout the night" further contributes to a potentially noisy environment. For local users sensitive to noise, these factors are critical to consider when evaluating Rambo RV Park.
In terms of services, the feedback indicates a lack of certain expected amenities. One negative review explicitly states "No garbage service," which is a significant inconvenience for RVers who rely on regular waste disposal. This lack of service would require residents to find alternative means of disposing of their trash, adding an extra burden to their stay. Furthermore, the same reviewer mentions issues with lawn maintenance, alleging that the "lawnmower cuts right next to everyones vehicles and motorhomes and doesnt try to not blow rocks and debris onto your vehicles," resulting in damage to their paint. This suggests a lack of care and consideration for residents' property during groundskeeping.
Privacy is another significant concern raised by a former resident. They stated "no privacy" and recounted an unsettling experience of being told by the owner that he had been "watching me with hidden cameras in the trees and didnt approve of my lifestyle." This is a serious accusation of invasion of privacy and raises significant ethical and potentially legal concerns. Such behavior, if accurate, would create a highly uncomfortable and distrustful environment for residents. This aspect should be a major point of consideration for anyone thinking of staying at Rambo RV Park.
The management, specifically the owner, receives strongly contrasting feedback. One reviewer describes him as a "very grumpy old man" who evicted them for being "a couple dollars short on rent one month and was late," despite allegedly not collecting rent in person as he usually did. This paints a picture of a potentially unreasonable and inconsistent landlord. However, another reviewer praises the owner, stating that he "does great job keeps this sight very safe no issues with theft, no problems with people acting up he really does keep this RV park safe and that to me is 💯 my favorite thing about this park." This starkly different perspective suggests that experiences with the owner can vary significantly. The emphasis on safety by one reviewer is a notable positive, indicating that the owner is perceived as proactive in maintaining a secure environment within the RV park.
The features of Rambo RV Park, beyond its location, are not extensively detailed. The mention of parking being "not a problem" suggests that there is adequate space for RVs to park. One reviewer found it to be a "good park for short time are long time stay," indicating its suitability for various durations of stay. However, specific amenities such as hookups (water, electricity, sewer), restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or Wi-Fi are not mentioned in the provided reviews. Potential guests should inquire about these essential services directly with the park management.
In terms of promotional information, the positive aspects highlighted by one reviewer include the convenient location for those without a car and the perceived safety maintained by the owner. These could be seen as selling points for certain individuals. However, the serious negative experiences recounted by another reviewer, including lack of services, privacy concerns, and issues with the owner, significantly temper any positive promotion. The strong recommendation to consider a more expensive but reportedly better alternative ("whispering oaks about 18 miles away") further undermines the promotional appeal of Rambo RV Park based on this feedback.
The contrasting reviews paint a complex and potentially risky picture for prospective residents or short-term stayers. While the location offers undeniable convenience to nearby amenities and one reviewer vouches for the safety of the park due to the owner's efforts, the significant concerns raised about the lack of garbage service, potential noise from the animal shelter and sirens, allegations of privacy invasion, and negative interactions with the owner cannot be ignored. Local users searching for "rv parks near me" who prioritize a quiet and private environment with reliable services may want to exercise caution when considering Rambo RV Park based on the available feedback.
For those who prioritize walkability to amenities and value the perceived safety of the park above other considerations, Rambo RV Park might be an option. However, it is strongly recommended that potential guests contact the park directly at (931) 307-3814 or +1 931-307-3814 to inquire about the availability of essential services, noise levels, and management policies. It would also be prudent to seek additional reviews or, if possible, speak with current residents to gain a more comprehensive and balanced understanding of the living experience at Rambo RV Park before making a decision.

Rambo RV Park Reviews
No garbage service, no privacy, lawnmower cuts right next to everyones vehicles and motorhomes and doesnt try to not blow rocks and debris onto your vehicles, (many scratches in chips in my paint now), and a very grumpy old man who is the owner. Was told to leave because I was a couple dollars short on rent one month and was late... Which made no sense since he comes to your door on rent day and collects rent and never did. And then was told he had been watching me with hidden cameras in the trees and didnt approve of my lifestyle (which i thought was totally an invasion of privacy and i dont need his oppinions on my personal life. There is an animal shelter right next door about 10 yards away with dogs who bark non stop. Constant sirens going off all throughout the night. Very hard place to get sleep. I would much rather pay a couple hundred more a month to stay at whispering oaks about 18 miles away. Very quiet lots of privacy and great people (whisper oaks) I would definitely check them out if there is room in your budget.

Jan 08, 2020 · Tonia NeeseWe woulda loved it there, had there been much more privacy from the city. Not necessarily from other campers but the city itself bc at Rambo's YOU ARE DOWNTOWN SHELBYVILLE!!!There was absolutely NO garbage pick up, even tho we were told when we first got settled there was 6. pick up. Then we were told to put our garbage in the dumpsters that belonged to CPS/FS/ Medicaid offices.after they'd finished interviewe'n.,,,THEN we were told by the owner to bag it up, tie it up, and leave it in the can. But put it on the porch of the old red brick house & the owner would talk it off..... but Of coarse that wasn't what we were supposed to do with the garbage either...... THAT got old pretty quick..... The only reason the owner evercut the grass was bc the city required him to OR he woulda had to pay a large fine...NOT to mention, the drainage left something to be desired...... OUR SITE WAS A MUD HOLE!!!!AND Tennessee mud has a consistency ALL of its own. We got ready to pull out to come here to Circle "E" and got STUCK IN THAT MUD!!!!! Cost'n us $250 for a wrecker to wench us outta the mud..... AND I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE the idea of pay'n with CASH EVERY MONTH!!!! Yes EVERY MONTH I HAD TO PAY WITH CASH..., NO CHECX, MONEY ORDERS OR WESTERN UNION PMT....OTHER THAN THOSE things I mentioned we had an amaze'n time.....j/s 😃😂😁😃😂😁
