Serendipity Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Clearwater, Florida area, it's also important to consider nearby manufactured home communities as potential long-term residential options. These communities offer a different style of living and can vary significantly in terms of cost, amenities, and management. This overview provides an objective introduction to Serendipity, located at 29081 US Hwy 19 N LOT 294, Clearwater, FL 33761, USA, based on recent customer feedback available online.
Serendipity can be contacted at (727) 784-2675 or +1 727-784-2675. The available reviews present a mixed picture, with concerns raised about management and increasing costs, alongside a positive note about a community facility.
One detailed review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the management of Serendipity, specifically mentioning ELS (Equity Lifestyle Properties), a large operator of manufactured home communities and RV resorts. The reviewer states that ELS has not maintained the palm trees or the public areas within the community. This suggests a potential decline in the aesthetic appeal and upkeep of the common spaces, which can impact the overall living experience for residents.
A major concern highlighted in this review is the substantial increase in lot rent. The resident moved to Serendipity in June of 2023, at which time the lot rent was $775.00. As of the time of the review, the rent had risen to $1000.00, in addition to charges for water and garbage. This represents a significant increase in a relatively short period, making it "very expensive to live here" according to the reviewer. Furthermore, they mention an upcoming rent increase of another 5.8% for the following year, indicating a trend of escalating living costs within the community.
The reviewer expresses the opinion that ELS is primarily focused on financial gain ("just for the money") rather than the well-being of the residents, whom they believe are being priced out of their homes. This sentiment suggests potential tension between the residents and the management regarding affordability and the value received for the increasing cost of living in the community.
Adding to the concerns about management, the reviewer claims that Serendipity struggles to retain maintenance staff because they are allegedly "treating them with no respect." This could have implications for the timely and effective maintenance of the community's infrastructure and individual properties, further impacting the residents' quality of life.
In contrast to these negative comments regarding management and costs, another review offers a positive note about a specific facility within Serendipity. This reviewer mentions having friends who play in a "big band" called The Ten o band, which holds an annual Christmas concert in the community clubhouse. The reviewer describes the clubhouse as "very nice and clean." This suggests that Serendipity does have a well-maintained community space that can be used for events and social gatherings, which can be a valuable amenity for residents.
The limited information makes it difficult to provide a comprehensive overview of the environment, services, and features of Serendipity beyond these specific points. The negative review suggests potential issues with the upkeep of public areas and rising living costs, while the positive review highlights a well-maintained clubhouse. There is no mention of other specific amenities such as recreational facilities, pet policies, or community events beyond the Christmas concert.
No specific promotional information is available in the provided text. Local users interested in learning more about Serendipity would need to contact the management directly to inquire about current lot rental rates, any additional fees, the process for maintenance requests, the amenities offered within the community, and any upcoming promotions or changes. It would be particularly pertinent to inquire about the reasons for the significant rent increases and the management's plans for maintaining the community's infrastructure and public spaces.
For individuals considering Serendipity as a potential long-term living option, it would be advisable to visit the property to assess the overall environment and the condition of the community. If possible, speaking with current residents could provide a broader range of perspectives on the living experience, including their opinions on the management, maintenance, and the sense of community. Inquiring about the typical duration of residency and any recent changes in community policies or fees would also be beneficial.
In conclusion, Serendipity in Clearwater, Florida, presents a mixed picture based on the limited recent reviews. While the community appears to have a "nice and clean" clubhouse that hosts events, there are significant concerns raised by one resident regarding increasing lot rent, the management's approach to residents and maintenance staff, and the upkeep of public areas. Prospective residents should carefully consider these points and conduct thorough research to determine if Serendipity aligns with their needs and expectations for a long-term living environment in a manufactured home community.

Serendipity Reviews
ELS has not maintained the palm tree's or the public areas. Moved here in June of 2023 and lot rent was 775.00 and as of today it is $1000.00 plus the water and garbage. Becoming very expensive to live here and as of next year the rent will increase another 5.8%. ELS is just for the money not the people that they are pricing out of their homes. They can't keep maintenance people on staff because they are treating them with no respect.
Jan 10, 2025 · Donna ZepnickWe have some friends who play in The Ten o band which is a big band. They have a Christmas concert every year before Christmas. The club house where they play is very nice and clean.
Dec 19, 2024 · Brian DodgeVery nice mobile home park. Pool and gym areas are well maintained.
Feb 12, 2025 · Priscilla VachonSerendipity is a great 1,000 plus unit mobile home park that is meticulously maintained and has to wonderfully Immaculate pools that are kept at a balmy 86 degrees. It's off of Route 19 North in Clearwater and is next door to two small pharmacies within the entrance area. There is a CVS at the other end of the Block in a grocery store within 1 mile either direction and every other amenity you can imagine within 3 miles. The park is very quiet and has lots to do. You can go north on Route 19 and make a left on Curlew and go straight out to one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida called Honeymoon Island and then take a ferry to Caladesi Island. The Nightlife here is amazing and there's always plenty to do in Downtown Dunedin which is only 3 miles away. You're nestled between Safety Harbor Ozona Palm Harbor and Dunedin. Tampa is just down the road as is the airport about 45 minutes and also you have Clearwater St Pete Airport which is about 15 minutes off of Highway 19 South approximately 7 miles or so. On Interstate 580 you have from the Gulf of Mexico all the way to Tampa more restaurants than you could ever go to in a year if you went 3 times a day everyday 365 days a year.
Apr 20, 2018 · Robert RadulskiQuite over 55 mobile home park. Doing a job at one mobile home....no one has bothered me. Lots of trees, club house with pool. Construction on 19 makes it very difficult to get in and out.
