Shelby Forest Introduce
Welcome to your resource for finding "RV parks near me" and exploring mobile home communities in the Shelby Charter Township, Michigan area. Shelby Forest, situated at 13955 Bronte Dr N, Shelby Charter Township, MI 48315, is one such option. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective understanding of Shelby Forest based on publicly available customer reviews, highlighting aspects such as the environment, services, and features.
When considering a mobile home park or an extended stay in an RV park, various factors influence the decision, including the quality of management, maintenance, community atmosphere, and available amenities. The following overview is compiled from real customer feedback found online to help you assess if Shelby Forest might be a suitable choice for your needs.
Several reviewers have shared their experiences at Shelby Forest, and it's important to note that the feedback presents a mixed picture. One resident initially had a positive impression but indicated that their perception changed over time as they "discovered more about this park." This suggests that while initial impressions might be favorable, longer-term experiences could reveal potential drawbacks.
A recurring theme in the reviews is concern regarding the management and upkeep of the property. One reviewer describes the workers as "extremely lazy" and often absent ("Never here"), also noting them as "very rude." This paints a concerning picture regarding the responsiveness and demeanor of the park's staff. In contrast, this same reviewer specifically praises the maintenance team, stating, "Only thing Maintenance is great!!" This suggests a potential disparity in the performance of different departments within the park's operations.
Several specific issues are raised by the reviewers. One mentions a downed stop sign that remained on the ground for over a week, indicating a potential lack of timely attention to safety and infrastructure maintenance. Another long-standing issue highlighted is the absence of swings, which have reportedly been gone for over two years, suggesting a lack of attention to recreational amenities for residents, particularly those with children.
Concerns about the accuracy and communication of park rules are also prominent. One reviewer advises against relying on written rules, stating they are "inaccurate according to the office." Instead, residents are told to check their email regularly for new rules that apparently emerge weekly. Furthermore, this reviewer reports receiving rude and unhelpful responses when inquiring about these rules, if they receive a response at all. A significant grievance is being charged without the promised notice outlined in the lease, leading to feelings of being unfairly targeted for raising concerns with corporate.
The condition of the pool area is also criticized. The pool is reportedly "often closed," and the available chairs are described in unappealing terms, while the umbrellas are non-functional. This suggests that the recreational amenities may not be consistently available or well-maintained, which can impact the quality of life for residents.
One reviewer expressed regret about moving into Shelby Forest, describing the experience as "nothing but a headache and disappointment." They also mentioned a lengthy and ultimately unsuccessful attempt to get responses from both the office and corporate, further highlighting potential issues with communication and customer service.
On a more positive note, one reviewer did commend the "leasing staff" for making the move-in process easy and noted that their neighbors are friendly. This suggests that while there may be challenges with management and maintenance, the community aspect among residents might be a positive attribute.
Finally, a significant safety concern was raised regarding winter conditions, with a reviewer stating that the streets and sidewalks are not regularly plowed or salted, creating "extremely unsafe" conditions. This lack of attention to winter maintenance could pose risks to the safety and mobility of residents during colder months.
Considering these reviews, local users searching for "RV parks near me" or mobile home options in Shelby Charter Township should be aware of these potential issues at Shelby Forest. While the easy move-in process and friendly neighbors are positives, the reported problems with management responsiveness, rule communication, maintenance delays (beyond the praised maintenance team itself), amenity upkeep, and winter safety are significant factors to consider.
For those specifically looking for an RV park for shorter stays, the implications of these reviews might differ compared to individuals considering making Shelby Forest their long-term mobile home residence. However, regardless of the intended duration of stay, the concerns raised about safety, maintenance, and management communication are pertinent.
Given the information available, it is recommended that prospective residents or visitors to Shelby Forest conduct further due diligence. This could include contacting the management directly using the provided phone numbers, (586) 247-1650 or +1 586-247-1650, to inquire about the issues raised in the reviews and to understand their current practices. If possible, a visit to the property to assess the conditions firsthand might also be beneficial.
As a platform focused on "RV parks near me," our aim is to present an unbiased view based on available feedback. In the case of Shelby Forest, the customer reviews highlight several areas of concern that potential users should carefully evaluate. While we do not have information about any specific promotional offers, the overall sentiment from the reviews suggests that improvements in management and maintenance could significantly enhance the living experience at Shelby Forest.
In conclusion, Shelby Forest in Shelby Charter Township, MI, presents a mixed picture based on online reviews. While some aspects like the friendliness of neighbors and the efficiency of the leasing staff are positive, significant concerns have been raised regarding management responsiveness, rule communication, maintenance of common areas, and safety during winter. Local users considering Shelby Forest as one of their options for "RV parks near me" or as a mobile home park should weigh these points carefully and consider further investigation before making a decision.

Shelby Forest Reviews
Live here and we loved it at 1st.. little by little, more we discovered about this park.Workers are extremely lazy. Never here. And very rude.Only thing Maintenance is great!!My stop sign has been on the ground over a week now.How bout putting the swings back. That's been over 2 years now.
Jan 08, 2024 · Crystal LynnVThe rules as written are inaccurate according to the office so don't rely on that, check your email regularly because new rules seem to come out weekly. Don't ask any questions about the rules though that'll just get rude and unhelpful responses if anyone responds at all. Oh and you'll never get the notice they promised in the lease you'll just get charged with no explanation. Pool is often closed, the chairs look like people have died in them and none of the umbrellas work. I've been waiting for a month to get a response from corporate after spending another month prior trying to get answers out of the office. At this point I regret moving in, it's been nothing but a headache and disappointment. Hopefully the rumors of retaliation aren't true but after the no notice charge I feel like I'm already being targeted for complaining to corporate.I will say however the leasing staff made moving in easy and my neighbors are friendly.Apparently they don't regularly plow or salt the streets or sidewalks either, extremely unsafe.
Feb 10, 2025 · Kegan “Daken” PasmanterTerrible experience here. Rude to potential renters.People who need advocates should steer clear.
Mar 13, 2025 · Katie T(Scroll down for more updates)This trailer park is a scam! They raise lot rent every single year. Around $500 lot rent two years ago. Just went up to $600 two years later. They provide nothing to justify this cost. The stray cats running around destroy the underneaths of our homes and the only action ever taken is just a mass email saying not to feed them. The sidewalks are so small that you are forced to walk in the road. The play equipment at the parks are so tiny they are only suitable for babies. You’re lucky if they attach the swings to the swing sets in the summer. I’m not sure what kind of people they think live in their trailer park but we’re not here because we’re made of money. In fact, most of us are stuck and have no choice but to go broke so the park can get rich. It’s disgusting that they choose to make life harder for their residents. If I wanted to pay the cost of a mortgage I would’ve bought an actual house in an actual community. I warn you to stay very far away from this park and sun communities in general.Update: (response to owner): With all due respect, it was fiscally irresponsible to provide those upgrades during record inflation. Especially if it means raising the price of lot rent for a second year in a row. As you stated yourself, the effects of rising prices affect you too.Update#2This trailer park just increased lot rent for the third year in a row. Absolute scam. They’re goal is to raise the price so high that people with older homes will leave and they can place brand new trailers in there place for a profit. This company preys on lower income individuals like a bunch of greedy vultures.
Aug 16, 2024 · JI have lived here for 3 years now. Me and my family love it. The parks are always cleaned and kept up. The staff do amazing events that my kids absolutely love. Moving here was the best decision me and my husband ever made. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to move to Shelby Forest.
