Stone Creek RV Introduce
For local RV owners exploring "RV parks near me" in the Cookeville, Tennessee area, Stone Creek RV, located at 500 Sliger Rd, Cookeville, TN 38506, USA, presents a destination with both positive and negative aspects to consider. As you navigate platforms in search of the ideal "RV parks near me," it's crucial to weigh the various factors such as accessibility, amenities, and overall environment to ensure a comfortable and stress-free stay. Stone Creek RV offers a glimpse into a quieter setting but also raises some concerns regarding its suitability for larger RVs and certain amenities.
According to recent customer reviews, the environment at Stone Creek RV is noted for its tranquility and peacefulness. One visitor in April 2025 described it as "very quiet and peaceful," which can be a significant draw for those seeking a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of travel. If a quiet and relaxing atmosphere is a high priority when looking for "RV parks near me," Stone Creek RV appears to deliver on this front. The same reviewer also mentioned that their site was exactly as expected based on the website, suggesting a degree of accuracy in the park's online representation, at least for some sites.
The camp hosts, Wendy and Brent, are also highlighted in a positive light, being described as "very nice and helpful." Friendly and accommodating hosts can greatly enhance the overall experience at any "RV park near me," providing assistance and ensuring a smooth stay. This positive interaction with the hosts is a notable advantage of Stone Creek RV.
However, a contrasting review presents significant challenges, particularly for owners of larger Class A RVs exceeding 36 feet in length. This reviewer found Stone Creek RV to be "very difficult" to get to and navigate. The presence of rocks throughout the park and narrow pathways are cited as major obstacles for larger rigs. This is a critical consideration for local users with larger RVs when searching for "RV parks near me" that can comfortably accommodate their vehicle.
Furthermore, the review mentions "very low" water pressure, which can impact the comfort and convenience of showering and other water-related activities within the RV. Low water pressure is a significant drawback and something that potential visitors should be aware of when considering Stone Creek RV as their "RV park near me."
Accessibility to the campground is also a concern raised in the negative review. While the park advertises itself as being half a mile off I-40, the reviewer states that it is "at least a mile and a half off I-40 and down a very difficult road." This discrepancy in the advertised location and the actual challenging access route can lead to frustration and difficulty, especially for larger RVs navigating unfamiliar terrain. Local users relying on GPS or online directions should take this feedback into account when planning their route to Stone Creek RV.
Adding to the list of concerns, the negative review points out the presence of a "very steep hill going down to the campsites." Navigating steep inclines with a large RV can be challenging and potentially hazardous, especially for those with less experience or without adequate equipment. This is another crucial factor for local RV owners to consider when evaluating the suitability of Stone Creek RV as their "RV park near me."
In terms of services and features, the negative review notes the absence of trash cans throughout the park and a lack of instructions or information provided upon arrival. The lack of readily available trash disposal can be inconvenient for campers, and the absence of guidance can lead to confusion regarding park rules and procedures. These are aspects that some local users might find less than ideal when choosing an "RV park near me."
The fee of $50 per night is also mentioned in the negative review, with the reviewer noting that this is the same price they were paying at a KOA in the area. KOA (Kampgrounds of America) parks typically offer a more comprehensive range of amenities and potentially easier access for larger RVs. This price comparison suggests that Stone Creek RV might be perceived as expensive relative to the amenities and accessibility it offers, particularly for those with larger rigs. Local users who are budget-conscious and prioritize ease of access might want to weigh this cost against the reported challenges.
On a more positive note, the reviewer who experienced difficulties did mention that the Wi-Fi was good, and satellite reception was also adequate. Reliable internet connectivity can be an important amenity for many RV travelers, allowing them to stay connected for work or leisure. Good satellite reception is also a plus for those who rely on it for entertainment. These are potential benefits of staying at Stone Creek RV, even amidst the challenges reported.
In conclusion, Stone Creek RV in Cookeville, Tennessee, offers a quiet and peaceful environment with reportedly nice and helpful camp hosts. However, local RV owners, especially those with Class A RVs over 36 feet, should be aware of significant challenges related to accessing and navigating the park, including rocky terrain, narrow pathways, and a steep hill. Additionally, the low water pressure and lack of trash cans or initial instructions are factors to consider. While the Wi-Fi and satellite reception are reported to be good, the $50 nightly fee might be considered high relative to the potential difficulties and limited amenities compared to other "RV parks near me" in the area. Local users are advised to carefully weigh these pros and cons based on their specific RV size and preferences before choosing Stone Creek RV for their next camping destination.

Stone Creek RV Reviews
April 2025- site was exactly what we expected from website. We stayed two nights as we were passing through. Camp hosts Wendy and Brent were very nice and helpful. It was very quiet and peaceful here.
Apr 27, 2025 · Gina NewmanThis is a very difficult Rv Park to get to and navigate if you have a class A over 36 feet. There are rocks everywhere and the pathways are narrow. The water pressure is very low. There is a very steep hill going down to the campsites. There are no trash cans, and there are no instructions or anything given. The fee is $50 a night, the same we were paying at KOA In the area. When you call in, they tell you they are half mile off of i40. They are at least a mile and a half off I 40 and down a very difficult road. It is quiet, and the Wi-Fi was good along with satellite reception. We will not be staying here again. Too expensive and too difficult.
Apr 13, 2024 · Linda BARRONI have been traveling/camping for the past 30 years and have spent many nights in this secluded, peaceful campground. Close to town but in a stoney, woodsy area. The Manger is always helpful and kind. If you like a quiet, pet friendly off the grid spot, this is it!
Aug 09, 2023 · Kathryn HallDon’t listen to Linda “Boomer” BARRON. Since she was gracious enough to include a picture of my RV, I will provide a rebuttal.I’ve lived here long term since October. I guess Linda missed the dumpster because she was too focused on the “rocks”. We have a dumpster on the top in the hill.If you are obnoxious and buy a huge RV, you will have trouble everywhere trying to navigate the sites. If you can’t drive just say that.Water pressure is great in my RV, so maybe you need to get yours looked at Linda. Also the Internet in this park is awesome. We never have issues not being able to stream.Overall, Linda is a boomer and as we all know will never be happy. The RV park is sufficient for short term and long term.P.S I don’t know Keri other than every month I give her a check.P.S.S Linda don’t take pictures of strangers homes and post them for you enjoyment.
Apr 27, 2024 · Morgan BryantTried to call for a reservation and it went to voice-mail. Never received a call back. Dropped by. Was off the beaten path, with a narrow two lane road. Due to construction the turn onto the dead end side street took stopping and waiting on a busy street to use both lanes. Had to drive into lane of oncoming traffic. When I arrived at the gravel entrance at the end of the road, I never did see an office or camp host sign. The park, as of Aug 2023 is under construction, and the gravel road is soft. The RV side is built on the side of a hill that needed a switchback to make functional. I drove through the park to the bottom and spoke to a few residents in order to find a spot. At the turn around at the bottom of the park the camp host/ owner caught up with me. In a 36 ft bumper pull I don't travel fast. After a brief discussion I was assigned a site. But we didn't talk price. When I backed into the sight the gravel on the site was squishy. With all of these considerations and the price I was told, I decided to move on. $75 dollars a night for a hillside camp under construction was too much. The camp has potential but it is currently a work in progress.
