Strafford RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Strafford, Missouri area, Strafford RV Park, located at 313 Old Rt 66, Strafford, MO 65757, USA, offers a no-frills camping option with some notable conveniences. Based on recent customer reviews, the park has a friendly staff member named Lana and is undergoing some improvements, but also presents certain limitations that potential visitors should be aware of.
One reviewer who stayed at Strafford RV Park from May to June 2023 had a positive experience with Lana, describing her as "very, very nice." This suggests a welcoming and accommodating staff member who is willing to assist guests, even with late-night arrivals. The reviewer appreciated Lana's helpfulness in getting them situated upon arrival and taking care of payment the next morning. It's important to note that the park operated on a "cash or check" basis at the time of this review, which might be a consideration for travelers who primarily use other forms of payment.
This same reviewer found the restroom to be "not that nice looking" but functional for showering. They also highlighted the convenience of having a washer and dryer on-site, which they found to be "very cheap" to use, although requiring coins or a trip to a nearby gas station for change. The proximity of the park to a food store and Dollar General within walking distance was also seen as a significant advantage, offering easy access to essential supplies.
The reviewer also noted that many of the park's residents appeared to be full-timers, but described them as "very, very nice people" with whom they had no issues. This can contribute to a sense of community within the park. An encouraging piece of information from this review is that the park was in the process of building a new laundry facility at the time of their departure, suggesting ongoing efforts to improve the amenities.
However, another review presents a significant concern regarding the accessibility of the bathroom and showers. This visitor reported that these facilities were locked at 8 pm and did not reopen until 8 am the following morning. Despite a request to the attendant to leave them open, this policy was enforced. This lack of nighttime access to essential facilities caused considerable inconvenience, particularly for travelers who may need bathroom access during the night, such as those over 65. This reviewer also mentioned significant highway and train noise throughout the night, which detracted from their experience. Despite the low cost of $40, they felt it was not worth the discomfort due to the bathroom access limitations and the noise.
Considering these contrasting experiences, Strafford RV Park offers a budget-friendly option with a reportedly friendly staff member in Lana and the convenience of on-site laundry and proximity to local stores. However, the significant limitation of nighttime bathroom access and the presence of noise from the highway and trains are crucial factors for potential visitors to consider.
To get the most current information and clarify the park's policies and amenities, it is essential to contact Strafford RV Park directly at (417) 736-3382 or their mobile number +1 417-736-3382. Inquiring about the current payment methods, the status of the new laundry facility, the policy regarding bathroom access, and the level of noise from nearby transportation routes will help potential visitors make an informed decision.
When looking at "RV parks near me," the environment typically refers to the physical surroundings and the atmosphere of the park. Strafford RV Park's environment seems to be functional and conveniently located near local amenities. The mention of highway and train noise suggests that it might not offer a secluded or tranquil setting. However, the friendly nature of the staff and the sense of community among the long-term residents could contribute to a positive atmosphere.
In terms of services, the park offers essential utilities for RVs, although the specific types and reliability are not detailed in the reviews. The presence of a washer and dryer is a valuable service for longer stays. The accessibility of restrooms and showers is a critical service, and the reported nighttime closure is a significant limitation that potential guests need to be aware of. The ongoing construction of a new laundry facility indicates an effort to improve the park's services.
The features of Strafford RV Park, based on the reviews, include:
- Potentially friendly and helpful staff (specifically Lana).
- On-site laundry facilities (currently coin-operated, with a new facility under construction).
- Proximity to a gas station (for change).
- Walking distance to a food store and Dollar General.
- A community with many long-term residents who are reportedly nice.
- Basic restroom and shower facilities (though with limited hours).
Features that might be absent or limited include reliable nighttime access to restrooms and showers and a quiet environment due to highway and train noise.
Promotional information is not available in the provided reviews. When contacting Strafford RV Park, it would be wise to inquire about their current rates, any discounts for longer stays, and any special offers they might have, especially in light of the ongoing improvements to the laundry facilities. Understanding the pricing structure in relation to the amenities and limitations will help in assessing the overall value.
In conclusion, Strafford RV Park offers a budget-friendly option in a convenient location near local amenities, with a reportedly friendly staff member. The ongoing construction of a new laundry facility is a positive sign of improvement. However, the significant restriction of nighttime bathroom access and the presence of highway and train noise are major drawbacks that potential visitors must consider. For local users searching for "RV parks near me," direct communication with Strafford RV Park at (417) 736-3382 or +1 417-736-3382 is crucial to get the most current information on policies, amenities, and rates to determine if this park meets your specific needs and preferences, especially regarding bathroom access and noise sensitivity.

Strafford RV Park Reviews
Stayed there May 2023 - June 2023 Had spoke to Lana very, very nice ladie. Told her we were going to arrive late at night she gave me a lot, told me to arrived get situated, and took care of me the next morning . Thank God I had Cash with me since the owner was old school cash or check. The restroom wasn't that nice looking, but I would just shower, so it did its job. Also, I liked the fact that they had a washer and dryer. I would do my laundry there. Very cheap, you had to have coins, or you could get change at the gas station in walking distance. I also like the fact food store and dollar general where near I would walk . Most people staying there, I believe, were full timers, but very, very nice people 😀 never had any problems with no one. When I left, they were already starting to build the new laundry place . I know it will become a very nice place later on. Just hope the owners son stays humble 🙏 and treats. The guess good . Would I return 🤔 yes I would . Thank you so so much Lana. 💗
Nov 12, 2023 · Ivette jimenezThey lock the bathroom and showers at 8pm and don't open them again until 8am the next morning. The attendant said she would ask if she could leave them open, but they were locked at 8pm. So my husband had to walk about a 1/2 mile both ways in the middle of the night to get a bathroom at TA. Then at 6am we left so we could get to a bathroom. If you are over 65, bathroom access at night is important. There is also highway and train noise all through the night. It was only $40 but it was not worth it for us. Just
Mar 23, 2025 · Paula GrahamPrice was very reasonable at 40.00 per night, right off the highway for easy off/on access. Perfectly level, no need for adjustments. A little crowded but fairly quiet easy drive thru, and thetrain was a nearby but not frequent rumble with no warning horns. Not very disruptive. Jennifer and Lorelai were so sweet and helpful! We loved the updated, clean laundromat - has good machines and everything needed including BIG machines for blankets etc. We had a problem with our camper AND an emergency dental issue, and there was a Camping World and Clear Creek Dental all within a mile of the place where we were able to get what we needed taken care of with an extra night's stay. Also nearby was Joe's Diner, looks like a hole-in-the wall, tiny place but it's a great, friendly, family friendly old-time diner - with GREAT onion rings, thin and crispy... within walking distance of the campground. I would stay here again!

May 09, 2025 · Big HillbillyThis use to be one of my wife and mine favorite RV parks. That was until situations pushed us into renting a lot on a long term basis. First, the manager was recently out for over a week to undergo surgery, leaving the couple of other employees there to handle operations. During this time, the monthly lot rent was due. My wife, and I, also had some unforseen health issues arise. We went in to talk to one of the employees about our situation, and asked if we could be a couple weeks late on our rent, and we would gladly pay any late fees, due to the fact that we both missed some work recently due to our health problems and that we had to get caught up from the loss of pay. The employee said that it wouldn't be a problem at all, since we have made all of our other obligations in the past. 1 day before the arranged date that we would pay to get caught up, the manager returned to work and came knocking on our door, yelling at my wife and I that we hadnt paid rent for the month. I explained that we had made an arrangement with the other employee, but the manager said that she wasn't told of any arrangement, but that it didn't matter anyways because no one else could authorize such a thing. She was extremely rude, yelling the whole time and making a scene to the point that neighbors came outside to look and see what was going on. If you're a manager, and you take off for whatever reason, leaving behind other employees to run things in your absence, and they make arrangements, then you should honor those arrangements. The issue is with your employees, not the tenants, especially since we had everything on track to live up to our end of that arrangement. Next, this same employee lived in a camper 2 lots down from ours. Her and her boyfriend were constantly up all night, every night, make loud noises, running power tools, and something screaming and fighting with each other, working on their trailer. So loud that most nights my wife and I couldn't sleep at all. We found out the reason why they were up all night, every night, a few days ago when the boyfriend came over at 11 at night and asked us if we wanted to buy some meth. Absolutely insane. The neighbors on the other side of us turns out are also selling meth. And, on top of all that, you have to watch out for the creeps here. A few weeks back a guy who is at least 40, invited our daughter into his trailer. Shes 13. Luckily she didnt fall for it, and i had some words with guy. Stay away from the RV park. It is drug infested and at least one of the employees there is not only part of this problembut also sales the junk, the manager is abusive to the tenants and thinks she can treat people however she wants. It was a nice place, but it's not anymore. If you need to stay in Stratford there is another RV park in town that is much nicer, and cleaner. I would look them up and go there.
