Sunny Rest Trailer Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Pinellas Park area of Florida, perhaps prioritizing affordability and functional hookups? Sunny Rest Trailer Park, located at 3920 78th Ave N, Pinellas Park, FL 33781, USA, presents itself as a no-frills option that may appeal to budget-conscious travelers. While information regarding extensive amenities or a detailed environment is limited, the available reviews offer some insights into the basic functionality and the landlord's character. You can contact them at (727) 666-0729 or +1 727-666-0729 for inquiries, although one reviewer noted the absence of a listed phone number, which has been rectified here.
One of the reviews explicitly states a primary concern: "As long as the hookups work and it's cheap." This suggests that Sunny Rest Trailer Park might be known for its affordability, which can be a significant draw for RVers looking to minimize their expenses. The emphasis on working hookups (presumably water, electricity, and sewer) indicates that the basic necessities for RV living are likely provided. This reviewer also inquired about the lot rent for a small camper, highlighting the park's potential suitability for various RV sizes, although specific pricing information was not available in the provided text.
Another review comes from a couple who relocated from Michigan and stayed at Sunny Rest Trailer Park for a month and a half under a three-month lease. Despite having to return to Michigan unexpectedly, they had a positive experience with the landlord, identified as "Twin" (who is also the owner). The couple had paid an $850 deposit, which Twin fully refunded upon understanding their situation. This act of goodwill suggests a level of fairness and understanding on the part of the landlord, particularly as they had broken their lease agreement. The reviewers also mentioned leaving their RV spot "extremely clean" and even making some repairs and adding furniture, which they left behind for free, further indicating their positive, albeit short, stay.
Interestingly, the same reviewers shared a contrasting sentiment they encountered from other residents. They mentioned that "everybody that we had spoken to while we lived there would say to me and my wife that Twin is a a##hole but he was never once like to us." This presents a dichotomy in perceptions, suggesting that while some residents may have had negative experiences with the landlord, this particular couple found him to be fair and reasonable. Their concluding remark, "Basically you should treat folks like you would like them to treat you, it's that simple," implies that the nature of interactions with the landlord might be influenced by the way residents themselves behave.
Based on these limited reviews, it is challenging to paint a comprehensive picture of the environment, services, and features of Sunny Rest Trailer Park. However, we can infer some key aspects:
- Affordability: The desire for a "cheap" spot suggests that the park might offer competitive rates, appealing to budget-conscious RVers.
- Basic Hookups: The mention of needing working hookups implies that these essential services are provided.
- Landlord Perception: Opinions on the landlord ("Twin") appear to be divided among residents, with some reporting negative experiences while at least one couple found him to be fair and understanding.
- Cleanliness and Respect: The positive reviewers emphasized leaving their site clean and acting respectfully, which seemed to contribute to a positive interaction with the landlord.
- Long-Term Stays: The mention of a three-month lease indicates that the park accommodates longer-term stays, although short-term options might also be available.
Information regarding specific amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms/showers, recreational areas, or pet policies is absent from the provided reviews. Similarly, there is no description of the park's physical environment, such as the size and layout of the lots, the presence of trees or shade, or the overall aesthetic appeal. Potential residents would need to inquire directly about these aspects.
Given the lack of detailed information and the mixed perceptions of the landlord, it is crucial for anyone considering Sunny Rest Trailer Park as one of their "RV parks near me" to conduct their own due diligence. This should include contacting the park directly to inquire about:
- Current Lot Rent: Specifically for the size of RV you have.
- Availability: Whether there are any current openings.
- Amenities: A comprehensive list of all services and facilities offered (e.g., laundry, restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, recreational areas, pet policies).
- Hookup Details: Confirming the type and reliability of water, electricity, and sewer hookups.
- Park Rules and Regulations: Understanding the guidelines for residents.
- Landlord Policies: Inquiring about lease agreements, deposit requirements, and any specific expectations of tenants.
In conclusion, Sunny Rest Trailer Park in Pinellas Park appears to be a basic, potentially affordable option for RVers seeking functional hookups. The reviews suggest a mixed experience regarding the landlord, with one instance of commendable fairness contrasted by negative opinions from other residents. Without further information on the park's amenities and environment, it is recommended that interested individuals contact Sunny Rest Trailer Park directly to gather all necessary details and form their own assessment based on their specific needs and priorities when searching for "RV parks near me." The emphasis on affordability and working hookups might make it a viable option for some, but a thorough inquiry is essential.

Sunny Rest Trailer Park Reviews
I really don't care. As long as the hookups work and it's cheap. Does anyone know how much the lot rent for a small camper would be? There's no phone number lol
Mar 10, 2025 · Saul GoodmanMe and my wife moved to this trailer park from Michigan and after a month and a half we had to move back to Michigan, .It was a very nice RV park.We were also under a three month leas.,We had a $850 deposit also ,but we had spoken to the landlord which was also the owner (his name is Twin) and tod him the situation about having to move back to Michigan,he had given us our entire $850 deposit back to us .But we did leave his place extremely clean and we even fixed a few things to the RV and added a few new pieces of furniture to it which of course we had left it to him for free . So what I'm saying is it is a very nice place.Everybody that we had spoken to while we lived there would say to me and my wife that Twin is a a##hole but he was never once like to us . Basically you should treat folks like you would like them to treat you ,it's that simple. This review is from :Darren & Niki Railey
Jan 22, 2023 · Nikki WoodThe Good - no application fee.The Bad - Classic bait and switch scam. Advertising 3 month lease on a pet friendly rental. After seeing the dilapidated trailer they now insist on a 12 month lease and say they are considering not allowing pets. Completely shifty owner is taking advantage of the housing shortage? The Ugly - the entire trailer park, unless you are into the post apocalyptic look. Sunny Rest, where the truly desperate go to experience a slow, agonizing decline in the will to live.Don't waste your time dealing with these societal dregs.
