Tawas River RV Park Introduce
Tawas River RV Park is located at 560 East, 560 M-55, Tawas City, MI 48763, USA. For individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Tawas City area of Michigan, Tawas River RV Park presents a potential option to consider. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the information available, primarily stemming from customer reviews found online.
Based on the limited information beyond customer feedback, it's challenging to definitively describe the intended environment or specific features promoted by Tawas River RV Park. The address suggests a location in or near Tawas City, potentially offering access to the natural attractions and amenities of the area. Tawas City is situated near Lake Huron and the Tawas River, which could imply a setting with opportunities for outdoor activities. However, the provided information does not elaborate on the park's immediate surroundings or landscaping.
The most substantial details available come from customer reviews, which paint a concerning picture regarding the services and management of Tawas River RV Park. One review highlights significant issues related to park operations and maintenance. The customer reported difficulties with management communication, noting that the office is only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays and that phone calls are not returned. This lack of accessible management could pose challenges for guests needing assistance or information.
Furthermore, the review indicates a potentially disorganized reservation system, stating that despite booking and paying via the Rover Pass website, guests might find their reserved spot occupied upon arrival and have to choose a "random spot." This suggests a lack of coordination in site management, which could lead to inconvenience and frustration for RV travelers.
A critical point raised in the review concerns the seasonal availability of essential utilities. The customer reported that the water supply is turned off in November, a fact that was allegedly not communicated on the Rover Pass website, the park's own website, or at the office. This lack of transparency regarding essential services like water is a significant drawback, especially for those planning longer stays or traveling outside the peak summer season.
The review also describes serious plumbing issues within the park's bathhouse. It mentions urinals filled with black water and a clogged main drain in the showers, rendering the bathhouse "useless." Such significant maintenance problems indicate a potential lack of upkeep and could severely impact the comfort and hygiene of guests relying on these facilities.
Another concerning review comes from someone claiming to be a resident renting a trailer within the park. This individual describes severe and unresolved maintenance issues within their rented accommodation, including a caving wall, mold due to a leaking wall, and a leaking ceiling above the wall. The reviewer states that these problems have persisted for approximately two months without management response, alleging that the manager won't return calls and that her husband was rude. The escalating nature of these issues is described as "unsafe," with the ceiling reportedly close to collapsing due to water damage. While this review pertains to a rented trailer, it raises broader questions about the overall maintenance standards and management responsiveness within the park.
Considering these customer experiences, individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' and encountering Tawas River RV Park should proceed with significant caution. The reported lack of communication from management, potential issues with site reservations, seasonal utility limitations, and serious maintenance concerns within the park's facilities are all factors that could negatively impact an RV stay.
Given the overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding management and maintenance, it is difficult to ascertain any positive features or potential promotional information for Tawas River RV Park based solely on these reviews. The absence of any positive comments or official information online further limits the ability to provide a balanced perspective.
Therefore, while Tawas River RV Park exists as a location in Tawas City, Michigan, the available information strongly suggests potential significant issues with its management, services, and maintenance. For those seeking 'RV parks near me', it would be prudent to thoroughly investigate recent conditions and policies directly with the park management (if contact can be established) or consider alternative RV park options in the Tawas City area that have more positive and reliable feedback.
In conclusion, based on the publicly available customer reviews, Tawas River RV Park appears to have substantial challenges related to management communication, reservation practices, seasonal utility availability, and the maintenance of its facilities. Individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' should carefully consider these reported issues before making a decision to stay at this location.

Tawas River RV Park Reviews
no management communication they work Tuesday and Thursday if you're wondering and will not return your phone calls. you pay on rover pass website go to a random spot cause your spot is probably taken. they turn off the water in November, I suspected they would turn the water off but its not stated anywhere on rover pass, their website, or the office. they have serious plumbing issues at the park urinals are filled with black water and the showers drain to a main drain that is clogged so the bathhouse is useless. Long story short if you plan to stay here make sure its in the summer and make sure your camper shower works.

Dec 26, 2024 · Makayla MatwyukDO NOT GO HERE! This park is owned by Clear Trail Realty in Richmond, VA. I made a reservation over 30 days out on 6-28-24 and due to unforeseen circumstances, cancelled it the next day. Per their cancellation policy, 100% refund up to 7 days prior to reservation date. They have refused to refund my money as of 8-12-24. My credit card covered my loss. On site mgr said that this happens all the time. He once had to argue with the owner for 6 months to refund a $1300 charge when the customer refused to stay at the park because it was a dump. My loss was only $116. RoverPass, the online booking intermediary, was no help. They state that they do not manage any refunds. Thank goodness we didn't stay here.
Aug 12, 2024 · Buckhunter168I wish I could leave a no star review. I signed my title over to the manager of this park about a year in a half ago and just received court papers saying I still own said trailer. And can't talk to anyone about it. Their lawyers office won't call me back and the manager is the one I gave the title to with 5 different witnesses present.
Feb 11, 2024 · Ambrosia RuleWe have rented a seasonal site. I was first impressed by the friendliness of Kathy who is manager of the park. She took excellent care of us and all our questions and concerns. Then I was pleased to see that the bathrooms and showers were clean. The people around here are super helpful and nice to talk to. I have never been somewhere where I felt so welcome. Although the park has aged and needs some work.... Kathy is tending to it with improvements all the time. You can't beat the seasonal rate. We are planning on being here for many years.
