The FairPark RV Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in Pleasanton, California, The FairPark RV, located on Rd 12, presents a location with convenient access, particularly for events at the nearby fairgrounds. The park's phone numbers are (925) 426-3340 and +1 925-426-3340. Based on recent customer reviews, The FairPark RV offers a mix of advantages and drawbacks that potential visitors should carefully consider.
One of the primary benefits highlighted by a guest is its strategic location as a "great jumping off point to explore the San Fran area." This suggests that while situated in Pleasanton, the park provides reasonable access to the attractions and urban centers of the broader San Francisco Bay Area. The reviewer also noted that the price was "good" and that essential utilities were "in working order," indicating a basic level of functionality and affordability.
Furthermore, the responsiveness of the management to address specific concerns was noted positively. When a guest with an elderly mother pointed out that the unmowed grass created uneven ground, the issue was "quickly got taken care of." This suggests a willingness by the park staff to address immediate needs and ensure the comfort of their guests, particularly those with mobility challenges.
Another significant advantage of The FairPark RV is its direct accessibility to fairground events. One reviewer explicitly stated, "This park is perfect if you need convenient access to fairground events." This makes it an ideal choice for individuals or families attending events, exhibitions, or festivals held at the Pleasanton fairgrounds, offering the ease of parking their RV within close proximity.
In terms of facilities, the laundry room, restrooms, and showers were reported to be in "great condition and clean." This is a crucial aspect for travelers relying on park amenities for hygiene and convenience, indicating that these essential facilities are well-maintained.
For pet owners, the park offers a notable feature: "There is a large green space right outside the gate that is good for dogs." This provides a dedicated area for exercising pets, which is a significant consideration for those traveling with animals.
Convenience is further enhanced by the park's proximity to essential amenities. According to a review, there is a "Grocery store and restaurants within a mile," making it easy for guests to access food and other necessities without extensive travel.
However, alongside these advantages, several significant drawbacks were also highlighted in the customer reviews. One recurring issue is the limited space within the park. A reviewer noted, "The spaces are very tight. Recommend booking an end space." This suggests that maneuvering larger RVs might be challenging, and the proximity between parked vehicles could be restrictive. Securing an end space is recommended to potentially alleviate some of this tightness.
The ground surface of the park also received negative feedback. One guest described it as "a combination of broken up asphalt, rocks and dirt" and characterized it as "very dusty," with the "dirt sticks to everything." This suggests that the park environment might be prone to dust and could require extra effort to keep RVs and belongings clean.
A particularly concerning issue raised by a reviewer was the "constant sewer smell." The guest speculated that this might be due to the close proximity of sewer hookups or a potential venting problem. A persistent unpleasant odor would significantly detract from the comfort and enjoyment of staying at the park.
Finally, a review from September 2023 mentioned ongoing "construction to add new spaces." This indicates that the park was undergoing expansion, which could potentially result in noise, dust, and disruptions for current guests. It was also noted that during this time, "The general store and RV parts store were not open," and "Registration was at a trailer at the front gate," suggesting temporary changes to the park's facilities and check-in procedures.
Prospective visitors should be aware that while the construction might eventually lead to more availability, it could present inconveniences in the short term. It would be prudent to inquire with the park management about the current status of the construction and the availability of the general store and RV parts store.
To make an informed decision about staying at The FairPark RV, it is essential to contact the management directly using the provided phone numbers. When calling, be sure to ask about the following:
- Space Availability and Sizes: Inquire about the size of the RV spaces and whether end spaces are available. Confirm if the spaces can accommodate your specific RV size.
- Rates and Discounts: Confirm the current pricing and if any discounts are available for longer stays or specific affiliations.
- Hookups: Verify the type and functionality of the utility hookups available at each site (e.g., electricity, water, sewer).
- Dust Mitigation: Ask if any measures are being taken to address the dust issue.
- Sewer Smell: Inquire about the reported sewer smell and if any steps have been taken to resolve it.
- Construction Status: Get an update on the ongoing construction, its potential impact on guests, and the expected reopening of the general store and RV parts store.
- Check-in Procedures: Confirm the current check-in process and location.
- Park Amenities: Reconfirm the availability and condition of the laundry room, restrooms, and showers.
- Pet Policy: If traveling with pets, inquire about any specific rules or restrictions.
In conclusion, The FairPark RV in Pleasanton offers a convenient location, particularly for those attending fairground events and seeking access to the San Francisco area. The park provides essential hookups and clean facilities, and the management appears responsive to addressing immediate guest concerns. However, potential visitors should be aware of the tight spaces, the reported dusty conditions and sewer smell, and the ongoing construction which may impact their stay. Direct communication with the park management is crucial to obtain the most current information and determine if The FairPark RV meets your specific needs and expectations.

The FairPark RV Reviews
The park was a great jumping off point to explore the San Fran area. The price was good, and everything was in working order. The grass hadn't been mowed, but when we asked since my elderly mother was with us and the ground was uneven, they quickly got it taken care of. While the entrance to the park is wide and well-maintained, it was a bit difficult to find. Additional signage would be great.
May 07, 2025 · Tonya SislerThis park is perfect if you need convenient access to fairground events. It is an RV parking lot with hookups. The spaces are very tight. Recommend booking an end space. The surface is a combination of broken up asphalt, rocks and dirt. It is very dusty and the dirt sticks to everything. For us, the worst was the constant sewer smell. I imagine this is a symptom of close proximity to the sewer hookups although there could be a venting problem. When we visited (09/2023), there was construction to add new spaces. Sep 20, 2023 · KellyFirst review January 2022 Scroll down for October 2023The park was easy to find. It is located in the Pleasanton Alameda Count Fair Grounds. . There is pavement all the way including in the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Our site, 187, was a back in that was just barely long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp only) was a long way back to the right side. I am glad that I had an extension cable!. The water and sewer were to the left rear. Distancing is very, very close. Typical for an urban park. There is no barrier between sites. There are no tables or fire pits. Our site was flat and even gravel/dirt pad. There is no included wifi. We did find a number OTA TV. Satellite should not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or pay showers but they were open. There is a large green space that is used for dogs just outside of the RV Park gate. Users appear to be very good at cleaning up after their pets and there are poop bags and a garbage near by. There is a very small store on site that I suspect is stocked during the warmer months. It’s shelves were bare during our stay. It appears there may be propane sales on site.Within a short drive you can find good food, shopping and any other amenity you may need.. We found this park to be a well run urban RV park that delivers just the bare basics.. We paid $42.00 a night and we feel we received poor value. This is more like a $30 - $35.park. It is just too basic to be worth more. We would look at other alternatives if in the area again. Be advised, this is a very busy park It was pretty much full during our two day stay during off season.October 2023There was construction taking place expanding the park so no store or office. Just a construction trailer at the entrance. Our site, 168 was a gravel based back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 50 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is super close even for an urban park. There is no room for table or a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was a place to set up in order to rest your body at night. There is absolutely nothing to do in the parkThere is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite would not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms, showers or laundromat but we checked and found them clean. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be the only game in town thus we persevered. We paid $43.00 per night (inc tax) and we feel we received very poor value. Sadly, we will be back as we use it as a base to visit friends.
Nov 06, 2023 · Darrell & Jeredene OllenbergerThey refuse to book us because, despite spending hundreds of dollars for items to keep the outdoor space clean, organized, and presentable as possible for a service-connected, PTSD recovering veteran, who also contacted the police for the park when I discovered the dead body of a neighbor on June 5th, and took custody of the neighbors brother when he arrived to help him settle affairs. Hot even a ‘thank you’ from the employees or manager, and told, despite available space, they had no room for storage of anything I might want to store there. Avoid this seemingly nice place if possible. They are arbitrary and dishonest. There is a general and RV store. Access to a dog park, and all the shopping needs you could want within walking or short driving distance. Wifi signal is weak here, and you might suffer a plague of flies, or buttheads for an associated event they are hosting without giving you any kind of heads up.
Dec 06, 2022 · A. Paschal BlumbergGood RV park for travel nurses. Rates are reasonable with no add on costs. I always felt safe and it's the people there that make it a fun stay!!
