The Great Outdoors Nature, RV & Golf Resort Introduce
Searching for exceptional "RV parks near me" in the Titusville, Florida area? Look no further than The Great Outdoors Nature, RV & Golf Resort, located at 137 Plantation Dr, Titusville, FL 32780, USA. This resort offers a unique blend of natural beauty, recreational amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere for RV travelers seeking both short and potentially longer stays. While the majority of experiences seem positive, it's important to consider all aspects highlighted in recent reviews to make an informed decision.
One of the standout features of The Great Outdoors is its picturesque environment. Reviewers consistently describe the campground as beautiful, with clean and well-maintained sites. This suggests a commitment to preserving the natural surroundings and ensuring a pleasant aesthetic for guests. The presence of mature landscaping and well-kept grounds likely contributes to a relaxing and enjoyable outdoor experience. For those who appreciate a visually appealing and well-cared-for setting, The Great Outdoors appears to deliver on this front.
The resort also boasts excellent amenities, catering to a variety of needs and interests. A significant highlight mentioned by a recent guest is the heated pool, a valuable addition that extends the swimming season and provides a comfortable recreational option, especially during cooler months. The fact that the amenities are described as "excellent" suggests that guests can expect well-maintained and functional facilities that enhance their overall stay. While specific details about all the amenities are not provided in the reviews, the name itself – "Nature, RV & Golf Resort" – hints at some of the key offerings, including opportunities for enjoying nature and access to a golf course.
The importance of friendly and helpful staff cannot be overstated, and The Great Outdoors seems to have dedicated individuals who contribute positively to the guest experience. Nancy at the front desk receives a special mention for her exceptional kindness and accommodating nature. Her warm and helpful interactions reportedly made guests feel genuinely welcome and facilitated a smooth stay. Such positive interactions with staff can significantly enhance the overall impression of a resort.
However, it is crucial to acknowledge some less positive experiences reported by other guests. One reviewer recounted a very unpleasant encounter upon arrival with a member of the security staff (CSA) named Herb. This interaction involved an accusation of speeding, which, while the guest understood the importance of the speed limit, was handled in a manner described as unprofessional, rude, and condescending. The reviewer felt publicly embarrassed by the shouting and perceived the behavior as an unnecessary power trip. This incident, unfortunately, tainted the initial impression of the resort for this particular guest. While this appears to be an isolated incident highlighted in the reviews, it is a point to consider regarding potential inconsistencies in guest interactions.
Another reviewer raised concerns about the general atmosphere and behavior of some long-term residents within the park. They reported multiple instances of police cars entering the park with sirens blaring within a single week, suggesting potential issues requiring law enforcement intervention. Additionally, they mentioned disruptive behavior such as golf carts being driven early in the morning with barking dogs, which could impact the peace and quiet of other guests. These comments suggest that while the park itself might be physically appealing, there could be underlying community issues that some visitors might find undesirable.
Given the name of the resort, "The Great Outdoors Nature, RV & Golf Resort," we can infer that it likely offers features and services related to these aspects. For nature enthusiasts, the beautiful environment and potentially access to natural areas for walking, hiking, or observing wildlife could be significant draws. The "RV" in the name clearly indicates that the resort is equipped to accommodate recreational vehicles with necessary hookups and site amenities. The inclusion of "Golf Resort" strongly suggests the presence of a golf course on-site or very nearby, making it an attractive destination for golf enthusiasts who travel in their RVs.
To provide a more comprehensive overview, additional information about the specific services and features would be beneficial. This might include details such as:
- The types of RV sites available (e.g., pull-through, back-in, size limitations)
- The availability and type of utility hookups (e.g., water, electricity, sewer)
- Other recreational facilities (e.g., sports courts, playgrounds, nature trails)
- Laundry facilities
- Restroom and shower facilities
- Wi-Fi availability
- Pet policies and any associated amenities (e.g., dog parks)
- Organized activities or events within the resort
- Security protocols (beyond the reported incident)
- Information about the golf course (e.g., number of holes, fees, availability)
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the resort's name and the positive comments about the beautiful environment, heated pool, and golf potential serve as implicit selling points. For potential local users, the proximity to Titusville and potentially to natural attractions like the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and the Canaveral National Seashore could be additional draws. The location also offers relatively easy access to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, a major tourist attraction in the area.
In conclusion, The Great Outdoors Nature, RV & Golf Resort in Titusville, FL, appears to be a visually appealing campground with a heated pool and likely other excellent amenities, including a golf course. The positive feedback regarding the beauty of the park and the kindness of some staff members, particularly Nancy at the front desk, suggests a generally enjoyable experience for many visitors. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported negative encounter with security and the concerns raised about the behavior of some long-term residents, which might impact the overall atmosphere. Despite these points, for those seeking a resort with natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and convenient access to the Titusville area, The Great Outdoors remains a contender in the "RV parks near me" category, warranting further inquiry and consideration.

The Great Outdoors Nature, RV & Golf Resort Reviews
We recently stayed at The Great Outdoors in Titusville and, overall, had a really great experience. The campground is beautiful our site was clean and well-maintained, and the heated pool was a big plus. Everything felt well cared for, and the amenities were excellent.A special shoutout to Nancy at the front desk she was incredibly kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Every interaction with her was warm and helpful, and she truly made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, our first impression of the resort was tainted by a very unpleasant encounter.Upon arrival, a CSA (Security) named Herb apparently followed us to the check-in center and accused me of speeding. While I completely understand the importance of following the 15 mph limit, his approach was unprofessional, rude, and condescending. He continued shouting at me as I walked away, which was not only unnecessary but also extremely embarrassing especially in front of my wife, during our very first interaction with the resort. In all, it came across as an elderly man on an obvious power trip. Regardless of the circumstances, nobody deserves to be treated that way over a simple mistake.Aside from that unfortunate moment, our stay was genuinely enjoyable, and we would consider returning.
Apr 12, 2025 · Michael NiesenPark itself is nice. But the class of people living here is much to be desired. Multiple times within a week police cars full sirens blaring flying into park. People driving golf carts by with dogs barking on them driving through park early morning waking you up.
Mar 23, 2025 · TaxachusettsucksWe love, love, love TGO!!! Best kept secret on the Florida Atlantic coast. The wildlife, the activities and fun things to do, the beautiful golf course and all of the gorgeous grounds. But, most of all, the people. We found in so many of the other upscale resorts that people could be a little snobbish. Not here. Great people, great fun, and endless activities. The restaurant, The Blue Heron, is excellent! And we watch every Atlantic coast launch from our front porch. Could not recommend it more. Come and stay…you won’t ever want to leave!

Feb 28, 2024 · Natasha Butina KelleyI’d like to know what Florida statue gives security guards the right to conduct a traffic stop? It doesn’t exist. they are conducting an illegal act. Just because they are on private property doesn’t give them the right to impersonate a police officer and violate people‘s fourth amendment, right. I saw them pull over a car in front of me for speeding. Had they done that to me I would have arrested them on the spot.
