The Lakes at Hemet West Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a mobile home community in Hemet, California, The Lakes at Hemet West, located at 5001 W Florida Ave, Hemet, CA 92545, USA, presents a community with a variety of amenities and housing options. Based on online reviews, it appears to offer a well-maintained environment and a range of activities, though perspectives on guest experiences may vary.
One reviewer described The Lakes at Hemet West as a "great community" where "the homes the grounds are pristine." This suggests a well-kept and visually appealing environment, indicating that the management and residents take pride in the appearance of the community. The same reviewer also highlighted an impressive list of amenities, including a golf course, fitness center, billiards, and pickleball courts. Furthermore, they mentioned the availability of "activities and so much more," suggesting a vibrant social calendar and opportunities for residents to engage with each other and pursue their interests. This review also noted the availability of "Homes for sale and empty lots to bring in your own," indicating options for both purchasing existing homes and building new ones within the community.
However, another reviewer presented a significantly different perspective, particularly concerning the experience of grandchildren visiting the community. This reviewer described the place as "absolute miserable" for grandchildren, citing numerous restrictions on activities. Specifically, they mentioned limited swimming pool access for guests, with designated hours of only two days a week for three hours (3-6 pm) and weekday access limited to 10-12 am. This limited access could be a significant consideration for families with visiting grandchildren who wish to enjoy the pool facilities.
The second reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the fishing opportunities within the community. They claimed that the lakes are not adequately maintained ("they dont care about them they dont do restocks") and that the construction of "tunnels for the fishes to go anywhere" negatively impacts fishing. This suggests that while the community is named "The Lakes," the fishing experience may not meet expectations for some.
Furthermore, this reviewer described a negative social environment for non-residents, stating that "if almost any resident sees you they despise you." They recounted personal experiences of being complained about and asked to leave the pool and being verbally accosted while fishing for being there too early. These experiences suggest that guests, particularly grandchildren in this case, may not always feel welcome by some residents within the community. This is a crucial point for potential residents who anticipate frequent visits from family members, especially those who might want to utilize the community's amenities.
Considering these contrasting reviews, The Lakes at Hemet West appears to be a community that offers a well-maintained environment and a wide array of amenities for its residents, including a golf course, fitness center, and various recreational activities. This could make it an attractive option for those seeking an active and engaging lifestyle within a gated community setting. The availability of homes for sale and empty lots provides flexibility for prospective residents.
However, it is equally important to acknowledge the concerns raised regarding the experience of guests, particularly grandchildren. The limited access to the pool and the negative interactions reported with some residents could be significant drawbacks for individuals who anticipate frequent family visits. The dissatisfaction with the fishing in the lakes is another point to consider for those who enjoy this activity.
For individuals considering The Lakes at Hemet West as a potential "RV park near me" or a permanent residence, it would be prudent to seek further information regarding guest policies, particularly concerning amenity access. Understanding the rules and regulations regarding visitors, especially children, is essential to ensure a comfortable experience for both residents and their guests. Inquiring about the maintenance and management of the lakes for fishing enthusiasts would also be advisable.
The first review's mention of a "great community" suggests a positive living experience for residents who are part of the community. The pristine grounds and extensive amenities certainly point towards a well-managed andresort-style living environment for its primary residents. However, the second review highlights the importance of understanding the community's culture and guest policies, especially for those who expect frequent visits from family members.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of The Lakes at Hemet West, prospective residents should consider visiting the community, if possible, and directly inquiring about guest policies, amenity access for visitors, and the overall community guidelines. Speaking with current residents, if the opportunity arises, could also provide valuable insights into the day-to-day living experience and the community's atmosphere towards guests.
In conclusion, The Lakes at Hemet West in Hemet, CA, offers a gated community with well-maintained grounds and a wide range of amenities, including a golf course and fitness center, suggesting an active lifestyle for its residents. However, potential residents should be aware of feedback indicating potential limitations and negative experiences for guests, particularly grandchildren, regarding amenity access and interactions with some residents. Further investigation into guest policies and the overall community culture is recommended for those considering this as their next "RV park near me" or permanent home.

Feb 13, 2025 · Gale Leeabsolute miserable place for grandchildren, theres nothing you can do without the resident, you can only swim 2 days for 3 hours from 3-6 and if you wanna swim on a weekday it has to be 10-12, fishing also sucks because they dont care about them they dont do restocks and they built tunnels for the fishes to go anywhere, it absolutely sucks and if almost any resident sees you they despise you, i remember one time i was with my grandma and a resident called the office and complained because they wanted me to leave. i got kicked out of the pool . and i remember wjen i went fishin i got cussed out by a old man because it was too early
Apr 02, 2025 · DaneThis is home! I am deeply, profoundly, in love with this place. From the well-kept roads to the beautifully manicured golf course to the incredible friends I have made here, there is no place I would rather be. Nestled in a valley between snow-capped mountains, we are warmly kissed by the sun and cooled with coastal breezes. Active days give way to quiet evenings for restful sleeping. Activities abound. Fishing, golfing, shuffleboard. aqua aerobics, horse shoes, dancing, parties, bbqs, luaus and so much more, are keeping many us young into our 90s and 100s! My husband and I are so happy we found this little paradise.

Feb 28, 2025 · Andrea SThe grounds are nice... but there is a feeling of racism everytime I visit my mom. Whether I'm stretching in her back yard or swimming in the pool... older WHITE ppl can't seem to mind their business and let us be. It's my observation of the grounds.
