Trails End RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Camp Verde, Arizona area, Trails End RV Park, located at 983 Finnie Flat Rd, Camp Verde, AZ 86322, might appear as an option. However, recent feedback from individuals who have utilized the park's services suggests a need for careful consideration before choosing this location for your RV needs. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Trails End RV Park based solely on the information available in the provided customer reviews.
One of the primary services mentioned in the reviews is the RV dump station. It's noted as a "good spot to dump your RV tanks" by one reviewer, indicating that this basic service is available. However, this positive aspect is overshadowed by concerns regarding the pricing of this service. The review highlights a significant increase in the dump station fee over the past couple of years, escalating from $10 to $15 and now reaching $20. This price hike has led the reviewer to actively seek alternative locations for this service, suggesting that the current pricing may not be perceived as competitive or justified by the quality of the service provided.
Furthermore, the experience with the dump station itself has been inconsistent. One instance involved a hose being "cranked onto the spigot" without a proper end for hooking up to the RV's tank flush, rendering it unusable. While a proper hose was reportedly in place during a subsequent visit, the reviewer noted the presence of the unusable hose alongside it, describing the situation as "unserviced." This raises concerns about the park's attention to detail and the reliability of its basic services.
Adding to the negative feedback regarding the dump station, the reviewer explicitly states that if the park intends to charge $20 for this service, the provision of a dumpster for waste disposal would be expected. The absence of a dumpster, coupled with the increased price, leads to the conclusion that the service is "very much not worth it" at the current rate.
The second review paints a concerning picture of a park in decline over the past three years. The most significant issue raised is the continuous increase in price without corresponding improvements or maintenance. The reviewer states that the price will have increased by $1,260 (21%) over three years without any apparent upgrades to justify this substantial rise. This suggests a potential disconnect between the cost of staying at Trails End RV Park and the value received.
The condition of the park's sole amenity, the "dog park," is also heavily criticized. It is now described as a "dump," indicating a severe lack of upkeep. Specific issues include a fallen shade over the park bench, consistent unavailability of water for pets, and instances of knee-deep weeds. This starkly contrasts with the park's condition under previous ownership, where the dog park reportedly had consistent water supply under shade, a shaded bench, regular raking, and daily emptying of waste barrels. This comparison highlights a significant decline in the maintenance and care of this amenity.
Further compounding the negative experiences are issues with essential services such as laundry and mail delivery. Both of the park's two washing machines have reportedly been out of order for an extended period of 4-6 months, creating a significant inconvenience for guests needing laundry facilities. Additionally, mail delivery is described as unreliable, with a limited 1-2 hour window for mail retrieval from an office that may not always be open during its scheduled hours (9 AM - 1 PM). The mail carrier reportedly does not deliver until noon, further restricting the already narrow window for mail access. These issues suggest potential mismanagement and a lack of attention to basic guest needs.
Based on these detailed and critical reviews, the overall environment and services at Trails End RV Park appear to be significantly lacking. The park is described as having "continually spiraled down hill," with rising prices juxtaposed against declining maintenance and unreliable amenities. The negative feedback extends to the condition of the dog park, laundry facilities, and mail service, indicating a pattern of neglect.
Regarding features, the reviews highlight the presence of an RV dump station, although its pricing and service quality are questioned. A dog park is mentioned as the only amenity, but its current state is described as poor. The availability of laundry facilities is compromised by non-functional machines, and mail access is limited and unreliable. Shade within the dog park has reportedly collapsed. These points suggest a severe lack of desirable features and a decline in the quality of existing ones.
There is no promotional information present in the provided reviews. Instead, the strong negative sentiment and specific complaints serve as a cautionary note for potential visitors. One reviewer explicitly states, "I would NEVER recommend this park! You can both nice & cheaper places to stay that are actually taken care of." This emphatic statement underscores the significant dissatisfaction experienced by at least one former patron.
In conclusion, based solely on the provided customer reviews, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Camp Verde, AZ area should be aware of the reported issues at Trails End RV Park. These include increasing prices for the RV dump station with inconsistent service, a general decline in park maintenance, a poorly maintained and unserviced dog park, non-functional laundry facilities, and unreliable mail delivery. The absence of positive feedback or promotional information further reinforces the concerns raised by these reviews. Potential visitors are strongly advised to consider these points and perhaps seek alternative RV parks in the vicinity that may offer better value and service.

Trails End RV Park Reviews
This is a good spot to dump your RV tanks. The price has gone up twice in the last couple years to the point now of searching for a new place to patronize. It was 10 - then 15 - now 20. The last stop at 15 bucks - the hose was cranked onto the spigot and had no end on it to hook up to the tank flush on the RV. This time there is a proper hose in place right beside the hose with no end on it. So either they are trying to accommodate different needs or someone forgot their hose there on the dump station. Either way - it is unserviced. And if you want to charge 20 for a dump station - put a dumpster out there as well. Otherwise - lower your price - very much not worth it. I'll be looking forward to a response to this post - if they dare.
May 20, 2024 · Mike SnyderThis RV Park has continually spiraled down hill for the past 3 years. The only thing that's gone up is the price! Come the 1st of the year, the price increase over 3 years wii be at a $1,260 increase (21%) without upgrades or maintenance. Their "dog park" which is basically the only amenity is now a dump. The shade over the park bench has fallen down, there is never water for your pet or easy access to get any & sometimes the weeds are knee deep. Before it changed owners there was always water under a shade, shade over the bench, the area raked & the waste barrel emptied daily. The washing machines (2) haven't worked in 4-6 months & you have only a 1-2 hour window, at best, to get your mail. It's delivered to the office which is only open 9- 1 provided the manager doesn't close early or not open at all. The carrier doesn't deliver til noon.I would NEVER recommend this park! You can both nice & cheaper places to stay that are actually taken care of. County dump will soon surpass this one
Oct 20, 2023 · Helene DavisGeorge is the BEST! Great water fill up and dump prices. Clean restrooms!Great location. We stopped to fill our rented RV water tank. We wanted to wait as long as possible so it didn’t bog down the RV in the mountain areas. This location is great to fill up if you are going to the Happy Jack / Lake Mormon area. We had a good idea what to do cuz we’ve rented RV’s before. But George came out immediately to greet us and walked us the the water filling and dumping process. He even had milk bone dog treat ready to go on his golf car for my 2 dogs!We will go to Trails End RV Park to fill up/dump EVERY TIME we go up north now and have recommended it to family already.

Mar 16, 2025 · MichaelI showed up, spur of the moment, in the early afternoon looking for a place to leave my toy hauler unannounced. I was promptly worked with, and able to rent a space. I highly recommend them as they are very easy to work with, and are conveniently located near gas/diesel as well! I hope to one day be able to use their services again. Thank you all so much!
