Tucalota Springs RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Hemet, California area, Tucalota Springs RV Park, located at 41601 E Benton Rd, presents itself as a peaceful and clean retreat. Situated in the hills just 15 minutes from Temecula Valley Wine Country, this RV park has garnered positive reviews for its tranquil environment, great management, and ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade the grounds. However, it is crucial for potential guests, particularly families with children, to be aware of recent feedback indicating a strong preference for an adults-only atmosphere.
While the initial positive reviews highlight the park's appeal for those seeking a quiet and relaxed getaway, more recent feedback strongly suggests that families with children may not find this a welcoming environment. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on all available reviews, allowing potential guests to make an informed decision about whether Tucalota Springs RV Park aligns with their needs and expectations.
Environment and Location: Peaceful Hillside Retreat Near Temecula Wine Country
Tucalota Springs RV Park boasts a picturesque location in the hills near Hemet, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of larger campgrounds. Its proximity to Temecula Valley Wine Country, just a 15-minute drive away, makes it an attractive base for wine enthusiasts looking to explore the region's vineyards and wineries. The hillside setting likely contributes to the park's tranquil ambiance and may offer scenic views of the surrounding landscape.
One reviewer described the location as "peaceful, clean, relaxed," and another noted its "beautiful" setting. The ongoing upgrades and maintenance, including the addition of new gravel to the spaces, suggest a commitment to preserving and enhancing the park's environment.
The distance from the "chaos of those other big campgrounds," as mentioned by one reviewer, implies a more secluded and serene atmosphere at Tucalota Springs RV Park.
Services and Features: Cleanliness, Upgrades, and Hospitable Management - Tailored for Adults
The customer reviews provide insights into the services and features offered at Tucalota Springs RV Park:
- Clean and Well-Maintained Grounds: Multiple reviewers praise the cleanliness of the park. The ongoing upgrades and maintenance, such as adding new gravel to the spaces, further indicate a commitment to keeping the grounds in good condition.
- Peaceful and Relaxed Atmosphere: The tranquility of the park is consistently highlighted as a major draw for visitors seeking a quiet retreat.
- Great Management: The management, particularly Cosette and her crew, are described as "hospitable and accommodating." This suggests a positive and helpful interaction with the park staff.
- Proximity to Temecula Wine Country: Its location just 15 minutes from the wineries makes it a convenient choice for wine tours and related activities.
However, a crucial aspect revealed in one review is the park's strong preference against accommodating families with children. The reviewer's phone call to inquire about the park resulted in a "rather long-winded rant" from the staff member emphasizing the park's quiet nature and lack of amenities for children. Specific points raised included:
- The park is very quiet, and children are perceived as being loud.
- The park has nothing for children to do.
- Children are restricted in their activities, such as not being able to ride bikes or do anything without adult supervision.
- The park reportedly has very few children, specifically mentioning only two homeschooled children who spend limited time outdoors.
This feedback makes it very clear that Tucalota Springs RV Park actively discourages families with children and is designed to cater to adults seeking a peaceful and quiet environment.
Information regarding standard RV park amenities such as hookups (water, electricity, sewer), restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or Wi-Fi is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. However, the positive remarks about the overall experience suggest that essential amenities are likely available. Potential guests should inquire directly about the specifics of these services.
Community and Atmosphere: Primarily Geared Towards Adults Seeking Tranquility
The atmosphere at Tucalota Springs RV Park, while described as "peaceful" and "relaxed" by some, is explicitly stated as not being suitable for families with children. The strong discouragement conveyed during the phone inquiry indicates that the park fosters a community that prioritizes quiet and may not be welcoming to the typical activities and noise levels associated with children.
The positive reviews from returning adult guests suggest a strong sense of satisfaction among those who appreciate the park's tranquility and management. However, families seeking a family-friendly RV park with activities and a more permissive environment for children will likely find Tucalota Springs RV Park to be an unsuitable choice.

Tucalota Springs RV Park Reviews
Absolutely love this place! Just 15 minutes up in the hills from Temecula Valley Wine country. Peaceful, clean, relaxed. Great management! I’m going back again after only a couple of weeks!Update: came back for the third year in a row. This place never disappoints! It is clean, peaceful, and beautiful. They are upgrading and maintaining the grounds - currently adding new gravel to most of the spaces.Cosette and her crew are always hospitable and accommodating. If you want to avoid the chaos of those other big campgrounds, try this place out.👍😁
Mar 30, 2024 · Jesse HansonWell, we are full-time RVers and are currently trying out every park in our area to find the perfect fit. I'll save the families with children a phone call. They don't want children there. I called to find out more information because the website is completely useless and has next to zero information.I asked the lady on the phone if there was anything I should know about the park. The first question she asked was, "Do you have any kids?" I said yes, 11 and 9. So, she went into a rather long-winded rant about how quiet the park is, how loud children are, how they don't want noise, the park has nothing for them to do, they can't ride their bikes or do anything without an adult holding their hands, etc. She finished it with there were only 2 children in the entire park, and they were homeschooled, and they only came out of the RV for a maximum of 2 hours a day.My children are quiet, respectful, friendly, independent, and trustworthy. I know they wouldn't be an issue, but with the effort used to talk me out of staying there, I figured I would just give my money to someone who actually wanted to have us there. It's very VERY clear, children are not welcome here. If your children go outside at all, or enjoy playing or speaking to each other, this place isn't for yall. Families, I saved yall a phone call.

Feb 13, 2024 · Barbara AdkisonMy wife and I enjoy camping at Tucalota Springs. The people in the office are very nice and accommodating. As a matter of fact we will be spending the weekend there very soon.
May 16, 2024 · Rob NeilReally nice except it is very unlevel. Didn't carry enough board to level our rig. Please make your sites more level. Realize you have to grade for run off but still could be leveled a lot. Club house is great.
