University Park MHC, LLC Introduce
For those utilizing the RV Parks Near Me platform to explore long-term residential options in the Mankato, Minnesota area, University Park MHC, LLC presents itself as a mobile home community. Located at 2001 Monks Ave, Mankato, MN 56001, USA, this park primarily serves individuals and families seeking manufactured home living. While not a traditional RV campground for transient stays, understanding its operational model and resident experiences can be valuable for those considering more permanent relocation, as some mobile home parks may offer flexible arrangements for long-term RV parking or lot leases for manufactured homes. You can contact University Park MHC, LLC directly at (507) 519-6900 or +1 507-519-6900 for inquiries.
University Park MHC, LLC is situated in Mankato, Minnesota, a vibrant regional center known for its educational institutions, including Minnesota State University, Mankato, which is a significant aspect implied by the park's name "University Park." Its location on Monks Ave suggests proximity to key areas of the city, potentially offering convenient access to local amenities, services, and the university campus. This accessibility can be a major draw for residents, including students, faculty, or staff associated with the university, as well as families and individuals who value being close to urban conveniences. The environment within the park itself, based on recent feedback, indicates an active effort by management to address and rectify "violations and taking actions to clean-up issues since September 2024." This suggests a commitment to maintaining a tidy and orderly living environment, which contributes positively to the overall aesthetic and resident experience. A well-maintained park typically fosters a sense of pride among its residents and creates a more pleasant atmosphere for everyone. The ongoing cleanup efforts imply that management is responsive to community standards and is actively working to enhance the living conditions for all residents.
University Park MHC, LLC appears to offer services beyond just providing a lot for a manufactured home. One significant service highlighted by a resident is the assistance provided for selling homes within the park. Franciska Jenne, identified as the manager, is praised for her professionalism and detail-oriented approach in handling advertising, showings, buyer approval processes, and working with banks for a smooth sale. This indicates that the park management actively supports residents in real estate transactions within the community, which is a valuable service for homeowners looking to move or for new buyers seeking to join the community. This involvement in home sales suggests a commitment to facilitating a fluid real estate market within the park, benefiting both sellers and buyers.
However, while there's praise for on-site management and efforts to clean up issues, there are also areas where services could be improved. Feedback points to a "sorely missing" training for new staff, which could lead to inconsistencies in service delivery or unmet expectations. Additionally, there are concerns about "promises made upon being hired were not fulfilled," suggesting potential discrepancies between initial recruitment discussions and actual support for staff. The sentiment of "good staff on site, but lack of support from home office" indicates a challenge in the hierarchical structure, where dedicated on-site personnel might be hampered by insufficient backing or resources from a higher corporate level. This aspect of management and support structure is important for the consistent delivery of quality services to residents.
A key feature of University Park MHC, LLC, implied by the positive review, is its professional and detail-oriented approach to real estate within the park. The manager's ability to "highlight those well" in terms of home updates suggests a focus on showcasing the value and improvements of individual homes, which can be a significant advantage for sellers. The smooth process for buyer approval and bank coordination also indicates a well-structured system for managing transitions within the community. The park's commitment to addressing "violations and taking actions to clean-up issues" since September 2024 is a vital feature for maintaining community standards and property values. This proactive approach to cleanliness and compliance contributes to a more appealing and desirable living environment for all residents.
The name "University Park" itself suggests a community that might cater to or be attractive to individuals associated with academic life, whether students, faculty, or staff, due to its likely proximity to educational institutions in Mankato. This could foster a unique community demographic and atmosphere. As a mobile home community, its primary feature is providing affordable housing options through manufactured home ownership, offering an alternative to traditional stick-built homes or apartment rentals. While specific details on shared amenities like clubhouses, recreational areas, or specific resident programs are not provided, the general focus on managing community standards and facilitating home sales suggests a well-organized residential environment.
For individuals searching on RV Parks Near Me, University Park MHC, LLC would primarily appeal to those seeking a long-term residential solution involving a manufactured home, rather than a transient RV camping experience. If you are considering purchasing a manufactured home and locating it within a community in Mankato, this park's described services for home sales and management's efforts to maintain community standards are noteworthy. The positive experience of a seller highlights the professional support available for navigating the home sale process within the park. However, if considering employment within the park, the feedback regarding staff training and home office support should be taken into account. For prospective residents, it would be advisable to visit the park and observe the ongoing "clean-up issues" and overall maintenance firsthand. Speaking with current residents, if opportunities arise, can provide additional perspectives on daily life in the community, beyond the official information. Direct inquiry with the park management at (507) 519-6900 is essential to confirm whether they have any provisions for long-term RV parking or if their focus is exclusively on manufactured homes on owned or leased lots. Understanding the park's rules and regulations, especially concerning community standards and maintenance, will be crucial in determining if University Park MHC, LLC aligns with your long-term residential needs in Mankato, Minnesota.

University Park MHC, LLC Reviews
We hired Franciska Jenne, manager of University Park, to sell our home. She handled advertising and showings. Once we got our buyer, she helped him with getting approved to live in the park and worked with the bank to get all ducks in a row for a smooth sale. We had done many updates to the home and she highlighted those well. Very professional and detail-oriented!!
Feb 26, 2025 · Susy MurrayManagement is really addressing violations and taking actions to clean-up issues sinceSeptember 2024. However training for new staff is sorely missing. Promises made upon being hired were not fulfilled. Good staff on site, but lack of support from home office.
Jan 04, 2025 · Tim MurphyIn a stunning display of Southern hospitality and in an effort to introduce himself, new manner Jack and his wife (whose name slipped my mind) have brought an incredible sense of community in their first, and undoubtedly annual, fall festival! With yard games, an inflated money grab booth, two bounce houses, tractor rides, family photo areas, five feet tall inflatable bowling and football, free hot dogs, and fruit for the kids, it was a remarkable display of event planning that residents will remember. There are many directions to go from here, from live music to a few major holiday parties. No expense was spared but every dollar was spent wisely. The park staff outdid themselves! The money booth started at 4pm and scores of residents had the chance to win. Everyone said it was harder than it looked, but still won cash totaling a tank of gas, a nice meal out, or desperately needed miracle money. Showcasing their experiences running events, Jack and his team paused to ensure payout was available and went on as long as possible giving away hundreds of dollars. It was a great time and a show of good things to come I hope! Thank you all so much!
Oct 10, 2022 · Anne SweeneyVery nice community! Lots of children, of many ages for my children too hang with. The park is being updated literally everyday!! The older homes are starting too slowly fade out and Brand new homes are being brought in... Very affordable living here!! The park management and the grounds keeper are awesome!! Park manager Art, Janet, and Mike are a great bunch of people.... Hard working.... I see them stay late everyday. They will literally go out of there way to help you.. Honestly i would recommend this Community to all my family and friends... Close to all the amenities!! 100% Satisfied!!!! Don't be shy...... come join our community. You won't be disappointed......
Jan 01, 2018 · Brentyn ZNot much freedom to do as one would like to do. Pick and choose on who gets repair/clean up letters. Snow removal is far of par as it should, like some kids doing it. Very little effort not to plow in it's residents. If your friends with management or maintenance or are one you get above privilege on having park rules voided for you. Like a race track with a feeling of being at a club with the music bumping pictures off the walls. I'd chose one of the other seven parks. List is to much to go into hundred and sixty eight residents would agree.
