Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Belleville, Michigan area? The Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park, located at 10871 Quirk Rd, Belleville, MI 48111, USA, offers a camping area that, based on online reviews, serves various needs, particularly those attending events at the fairgrounds or travelers seeking a convenient overnight stop. You can reach them by phone at (734) 697-7002 or +1 734-697-7002.
Several reviewers have shared their experiences at the campground portion of the Wayne County Fairgrounds. One reviewer explicitly stated their review was specifically about the campground area, indicating that the fairgrounds serve multiple purposes. This camper described a "large grassy area with RVs all tucked in together," noting a lack of privacy, which they attributed to the park not primarily being designed as a "get-away vacation campground." Instead, they surmised it is more geared towards individuals attending events held at the fairgrounds.
This same reviewer mentioned having access to 30-amp electric and water hookups. Despite a significant number of campers present on a Friday night, they found the area to be "very quiet." They also observed what appeared to be several longer-term campers. Positively, they noted that the staff at check-in was "friendly and helpful," and they concluded that the park was a "nice, convenient stop for one night on our way north," adding that they "would stay here again" and that it was "Cheaper than State Parks."
Another reviewer, who has experience staying at many county RV parks, provided a more comparative perspective. Having recently stayed at a $16-per-night park, they initially felt the $45 per night charge at Wayne County Fairgrounds was higher than expected, attributing this to being "spoiled" by the previous, less expensive park. They described the camping area as "just rutted grass" and noted that their site was "very unlevel," to the point where they had to sleep "on the bed upside down." This suggests that the leveling of RV sites might be an issue to consider.
However, this reviewer also highlighted a significant positive feature: the laundry room. They found it to be "very reasonable," with "all new washers and dryers" costing $2.00 to wash and $2.00 to dry, which they contrasted favorably with other places where they often pay "$4 + dollars just to wash." They also mentioned that it uses a "wash connect system," which they were already familiar with from another RV park. This reviewer stated they "would come again just to have a place to land to get laundry done" and advised bringing your own chair if you plan to wait there while drying.
Based on these reviews, the environment of the Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park campground can be characterized as a large, open grassy area with limited privacy, primarily designed for convenience, especially for those attending fairground events or needing an overnight stop. While generally quiet, the ground may be uneven. The fairgrounds setting might mean the environment fluctuates depending on scheduled events.
In terms of services and features mentioned, the park offers at least 30-amp electric and water hookups. A significant amenity highlighted is the reasonably priced laundry room with new washers and dryers. Check-in staff are reported to be friendly and helpful. However, specific details about other amenities such as restrooms, showers, or dump stations are not consistently mentioned across the reviews. The lack of privacy is noted, and the unevenness of the ground for parking/setting up RVs is a point of concern for one reviewer.
The pricing seems to be a point of comparison, with one reviewer finding it cheaper than State Parks for an overnight stop, while another felt it was a bit high ($45) compared to other county RV parks they had experienced, though this was somewhat mitigated by the excellent laundry facilities.
As for promotional information, the positive aspects highlighted by the reviewers include the convenience, the quiet atmosphere despite being relatively full, the friendly staff, and the very reasonable laundry facilities. For those attending events at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, the proximity would be a major advantage. For travelers passing through, it offers a potentially cheaper alternative to State Parks with necessary hookups.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Belleville, MI, the Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park offers a practical option, especially for short stays or while attending events at the fairgrounds. The availability of electric and water hookups is a plus. The very reasonably priced and new laundry facilities are a standout feature. However, potential campers should be aware of the lack of privacy and the possibility of uneven ground at some sites. If you prioritize convenience, a quiet night's sleep, and access to good laundry services, this RV park could be a suitable choice.
To get more detailed information about all available amenities, site availability, and any specific policies, it would be best to contact the Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park directly using the provided phone number. This will allow you to ask about restroom and shower facilities, dump stations, and any other services you might require for your stay.

Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park Reviews
We were here for one night of camping, this is a review of the campground area.Large grassy area with RVs all tucked in together, no privacy but it's not really meant to be a get-away vacation campground. I'm sure it's meant more for people who are attending the events held at the fairgrounds. We had 30-amp electric and water hookup. For as many campers that were here, on a Friday night, it was very quiet. There appeared to be a number of longer-term campers. The staff at check-in was friendly and helpful. This was a nice, convenient stop for one night on our way north. I'd stay here again. Cheaper than State Parks .
Sep 24, 2024 · Room4TwoWe have stayed in a lot of county RV parks and had just left Kinross that was only 16.00 a night and expected more for 45.00 but that is just becase we had got spoiled from the other park. This is just rutted grass. Pulled in for the night and did not really want to set up. Very unlevel. We just slept on the bed upside down. BUT the laundry room is very reasonable. All new washers and dryers 2.00 to wash 2.00 to dry where I often pay 4 + dollars just to wash. It is a wash connect system and I already had app from another RV park. I would come again just to have a place to land to get laundry done. Bring your own chair if you are the kind that hangs around while drying.
Oct 22, 2024 · Holli BertrandNot bad RV parking for the price. Very nice shower facilities. Only thing we didn't like was there were strange rules about where to walk the dog. Would return.
Oct 12, 2024 · Matt CulbertsonBeautiful, quiet location that will accommodate all size rigs. It is grass, but level. We did not have to put stabilizer jacks down. Very centrally located with the lovely town of Belleville just blocks away. They also have a dog park. And their prices are very reasonable. We would definitely return!
Jul 10, 2024 · Linda KynsiI like how we went there for a show, and the bathrooms were out of order. And there was no notice to those putting on the show, to be able to get a porta poty in time. So of course I'm there with my family and it turns out the closest bathroom is like a mile away.... wtf?
