Winterset Farms Introduce
For those seeking "RV parks near me" in the vicinity of Wilmington, Delaware, Winterset Farms, located at 2801 Ebright Rd, Wilmington, DE 19810, USA, presents a mobile home community that has garnered positive feedback from its residents, particularly regarding its community atmosphere and family-friendly environment. While the address places it in Delaware, one resident notes living on the "Pa. side" and still considering it a great place to live, indicating that the community might straddle the state line or be perceived as closely associated with the Pennsylvania side by some residents.
One of the most compelling aspects of Winterset Farms, according to a resident, is the strong sense of community and the quality of neighbors. Described as having "the best neighbors in the world" and a "very eclectic group of people young and old," the park fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment. This intergenerational mix can contribute to a vibrant and supportive atmosphere, making it a pleasant place for individuals and families alike. The emphasis on positive neighborly relationships is a significant draw for those seeking a close-knit community feel in their long-term living situation.
Another notable advantage of Winterset Farms is its location within the Garnet Valley School District. This is specifically highlighted as a "plus" by a resident, indicating that families with school-aged children may find this community particularly appealing due to the reputation and quality of the local schools. Access to good educational opportunities is often a key factor for families when choosing a place to live, and Winterset Farms appears to offer this benefit.
However, the positive aspects are balanced by some concerns raised by residents. One resident mentions that "the lot fees are a little much," indicating that the cost of renting the land for their mobile home might be perceived as somewhat high. While acknowledging this financial aspect, the resident also seems to accept it as a part of life, stating, "but what are you going to do." This suggests that while the fees might be a consideration, the other positive aspects of living in Winterset Farms outweigh this concern for some.
The front office management receives positive feedback, being described as "very nice people who deal with a lot." The resident also expresses appreciation for their "leniency at times when money is tight," suggesting a degree of understanding and support from the management towards residents facing temporary financial difficulties. This positive relationship with the management can contribute significantly to the overall satisfaction of living in the community.
Further financial considerations are brought up by the resident, including a wish for lower and included taxes, and a desire for Garnet Valley to provide trash pickup given the property taxes paid. These comments highlight some frustrations with the local tax and service provisions, which are external to the park itself but impact the overall cost and benefits of living in the area.
Despite these concerns, the overall sentiment of the first review is positive, concluding that "all in all the place is a nice place to raise a family." This reinforces the idea that Winterset Farms offers a family-friendly environment with a strong sense of community and access to good schools.
The second review brings up a specific and important point regarding parking within the community. A visitor recounts receiving a "nasty note" on their car for not parking directly in front of the trailer they were visiting, despite parking only one trailer down. This suggests that Winterset Farms has specific and potentially strict parking regulations that residents and visitors need to be aware of and adhere to. This information is crucial for anyone considering living in or visiting the park to avoid potential issues.
Considering the platform category of "RV parks near me," it is not explicitly stated whether Winterset Farms accommodates RVs for long-term residency. As a mobile home park, its primary focus is likely on manufactured homes. Individuals with RVs seeking long-term options in the Wilmington, DE area should contact the management directly to inquire about their policies regarding RVs, the availability of suitable lots with necessary hookups, and any specific regulations that might apply.
Based on the available reviews, the environment of Winterset Farms appears to be friendly and community-oriented, with a diverse group of residents. The access to the Garnet Valley School District is a significant feature for families. However, potential residents should be aware of the potentially higher lot fees and the specific parking regulations within the park. The management is generally viewed positively for their helpfulness and understanding.
Services typically offered in mobile home parks include water, sewer, and electricity hookups. Waste management is usually provided, although one resident expressed a desire for a different provider due to tax implications. The reviews do not mention specific amenities such as laundry facilities, a community center, or recreational areas within Winterset Farms. Interested individuals should inquire directly about the full range of services and amenities available.
No specific promotional information is included in the provided reviews. To learn about any current incentives for new residents, it is recommended to contact Winterset Farms directly using the provided phone numbers: (302) 475-3010 or +1 302-475-3010.
In conclusion, Winterset Farms near Wilmington, DE, offers a mobile home community with a strong sense of neighborly spirit, a diverse resident population, and the advantage of being located within the Garnet Valley School District, making it potentially attractive for families. While the lot fees may be a consideration, the positive aspects of the community and management are noteworthy. However, potential residents should be mindful of the specific parking regulations. Individuals seeking long-term residency, especially those with RVs, should contact Winterset Farms directly to gather detailed information about lot availability, services, amenities, and any applicable policies to determine if it meets their needs and preferences.

Winterset Farms Reviews
Winterset Farms is a great place to live on the Pa. side. I live on the Pa. side and love it. I have the best neighbors in the world. A very eclectic group of people young and old. It is in the Garnet Valley School District that is a plus. The lot fees are a little much but what are you going to do. The front office are very nice people who deal with a lot. I appreciate the leniency at times when money is tight. I just wish that the taxes were lower and included. Also wish since I pay said taxes that Garnet Valley should be picking up my trash. The world today take, take, take, never give back. Property taxes. Paying for something I already own is the biggest racket going. All in all the place is a nice place to raise a family.
Apr 18, 2024 · BwdrlneMake sure you park directly in front of the trailer you are visiting. I could not and parked one trailer down, was given a nasty not on my car when I left.
Jun 01, 2024 · Rev. Nicci HartlandThis community is the little golden nugget of New Castle County DE. Well maintained homes, excellent neighbors, quiet and a great place to either raise a family or retire. The taxes are low, as are the utilities. We moved in in 2018 and love it here.
Apr 24, 2021 · Sue BSteer away from this place. The lot fee is the highest in the state and they are citation happy. If leaves or grass isn't cut every week the will give you a nasty message and write you a citation quicker than you can blink
