Wisconsin State Fair RV Park - Open Year-Round! Introduce
For RV enthusiasts and travelers searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in the bustling Milwaukee metropolitan area, the Wisconsin State Fair RV Park stands out as a unique and highly convenient option. Located at 601 S 76th St, Milwaukee, WI 53214, USA, this urban RV park offers an unparalleled combination of accessibility to city attractions and essential amenities. Unlike many seasonal campgrounds, a significant highlight of this park is its year-round operation, providing a reliable and welcoming place for RVs in all seasons. The park can be reached for inquiries and reservations at (414) 266-7035 or +1 414-266-7035.
The Wisconsin State Fair RV Park is situated on the grounds of the Wisconsin State Fair Park, strategically positioned to offer excellent access to Milwaukee's many attractions. While some RV parks are set amidst natural landscapes, this park embraces its urban environment. As acknowledged by a reviewer, "there is no doubt that this is a parking lot." This means spaces are typically close together, and while some sites may offer shade, the primary environment is one of paved surfaces. However, this urban setting is precisely what makes it perfect for visitors looking to explore the city.
The park's location is its strongest environmental asset for urban explorers. It is described as "convenient to all things Milwaukee." This includes being an ideal place to stay if "going to a Brewers Game," with American Family Field (home of the Milwaukee Brewers) just a short distance away. "Spending time Downtown" is also incredibly easy from this location, thanks to straightforward access to major roads and public transport options. Furthermore, a highly praised environmental feature is the "Hank Aaron trail, right out the front door," offering excellent opportunities for "walking and biking." This provides a valuable green corridor for recreation and adds a touch of natural escape within the urban fabric. The surrounding neighborhood is also described as "nice," contributing to a sense of safety and comfort for guests.
The Wisconsin State Fair RV Park prides itself on providing comprehensive services and amenities that cater to the needs of modern RVers, making it a competitive choice for "RV Parks Near Me" searches focused on convenience and comfort. Key services include:
Full Hookups: All sites offer full hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity (various amperages available, usually 30/50 amp), which is a critical feature for any comfortable RV stay, especially in an urban setting.
Year-Round Operation: The park is open 365 days a year, providing reliable accommodation regardless of the season, including winterized spots as noted by a reviewer who stayed in April.
Newly Renovated Facilities: A major highlight mentioned by guests is the pristine condition of the common facilities. The "Bathrooms-Showers-Laundry rooms must have been newly renovated, they are pristine and large." This emphasis on cleanliness and modern, well-maintained facilities significantly enhances the guest experience and is a strong selling point for the park.
On-site Staff: Reviews consistently praise the "Super nice staff" and note that the staff is "quite helpful." This indicates a high level of customer service and responsiveness to guest needs, which is essential for a positive stay.
Safety and Security: The park is described as "safe" and "well-lit," providing peace of mind for guests staying in an urban environment. This attention to security is paramount for RV travelers.
Pet-Friendly: The provision of a "Dog walk area/grass in-between rows, or in back of some sites" highlights the park's pet-friendly nature, accommodating travelers with furry companions.
Laundry Facilities: The inclusion of newly renovated laundry rooms offers essential convenience for long-term stays or simply refreshing clothes during a trip.
While specific services like Wi-Fi or cable TV aren't explicitly mentioned, the focus on essential, high-quality amenities suggests a commitment to guest comfort. The cleanliness of the facilities is a recurring positive theme in reviews, which speaks volumes about the park's operational standards.
The unique features of the Wisconsin State Fair RV Park revolve around its urban functionality and access to major attractions. While not a traditional "destination campground" with sprawling natural features for hanging out and grilling at individual sites (as noted by a reviewer regarding sites being close together and RV doors facing each other), its strength lies in being an excellent "base camp" for exploring Milwaukee. Key features include:
Proximity to Attractions: Unbeatable access to American Family Field for Milwaukee Brewers games, the Wisconsin State Fair grounds for various events throughout the year, and downtown Milwaukee for cultural experiences, dining, and entertainment.
Recreational Trails: Direct access to the Hank Aaron State Trail, a significant multi-use trail offering miles of paved pathways for walking, running, and biking. This feature provides an immediate outlet for outdoor activity and connects campers to a broader network of Milwaukee's green spaces.
Cleanliness and Modernity: The high standard of cleanliness and recently renovated facilities, particularly the restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms, are significant features that enhance the comfort level of guests.
Safety and Lighting: A well-lit and safe environment ensures that guests feel secure during their stay, an important consideration in an urban setting.
Pet Accommodations: Dedicated dog walk areas cater to pet owners, making it easier to travel with animals.
Year-Round Accessibility: The ability to stay at the park throughout the entire year, even in winter, is a crucial distinguishing feature for RVers who travel in all seasons or require a reliable urban base.
The park is ideal for those who prioritize exploring the city and attending events over extensive on-site recreation, offering a functional and well-maintained launchpad for urban adventures.
For RVers actively searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in the Milwaukee area, the Wisconsin State Fair RV Park heavily promotes its prime location, year-round availability, and excellent facilities. It targets visitors attending events at the State Fair Park, Brewers games, or those simply wishing to explore downtown Milwaukee without the hassle of long commutes or parking. The consistent positive feedback on staff friendliness and facility cleanliness serves as strong word-of-mouth promotion.
Reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak event times (like the Wisconsin State Fair itself, or Brewers home games), although specific booking instructions (e.g., via a website like ReserveAmerica or direct calls) are not detailed here beyond the phone number. Guests can contact the park directly at (414) 266-7035 or +1 414-266-7035 for current rates, availability, and reservation policies. The park's website (which would typically be linked through the State Fair Park's main site) would provide comprehensive details on site types, pricing, rules, and online booking options. Its appeal lies in its practicality and convenience for urban exploration, positioning itself as the "perfect place to stay" for city-centric RV travel.

Wisconsin State Fair RV Park - Open Year-Round! Reviews
Perfect place to stay if going to a Brewers Game and spending time Downtown. There is no doubt that this is a parking lot, spots are close together-not level and RV doors face each other, not a place to be hanging out and grilling. With that said, it is clean, safe, quiet, offers full hook ups, well-lit, convenient to all things Milwaukee. Super nice staff, Bathrooms-Showers-Laundry rooms must have been newly renovated, they are pristine and large. Dog walk area/grass in-between rows, or in back of some sites. Some sites offer shade.
Jul 12, 2024 · Rachel PageStayed the month of April in a winterized spot. The staff was quite helpful. The facilities are very clean. Great walking and biking on the Hank Aaron trail, right out the front door. Nice neighborhood. We will return!
May 01, 2025 · Maria BarrStayed for Indycar 2024 race. 30 amp spot area had several rv’s where tow trucks were parked in drive lane, and encroaching on my spot such that arrival was difficult to back in. Fortunately other side was a smaller popup camper and across lane spot unoccupied so had on front and far side a tad of maneuvering space else the violator on other turn in side I would have not been able to park. Exit I decided because of the space violator on one side to exit the opposite/wroung direction flow to avoid accident of hitting their full pickup bed sized tow truck with bumper overhanging my spot corner. Those occupants also had a dog on about 25 foot tether and they allowed dog to urinate everywhere including the shared electric post ewww. Dog barked a lot during stay even went under my rv and once was scratching or something to my rv and owner yelled at it. That pickup truck left its bed cap top door open at night and day plus most of day liftgate open when they were on site so it extended over my lot as well. They obviously were not caring for their property as they left rv storage bay door open and its contents in full view the entire stay even overnight. When I checked in the clerk asked my name as if checking me in and someone else already had paperwork printed for my reservation so were ready for campers. If I ever stay here again, would choose a different area as others with more amenities had spaces plus extra marked gap separating from adjacent parking spot whereas 30 amp only no gap. Couldn’t tell this when reserving on line. Only one dump station in location that would require you to drive down a parking lane which was partially blocked by tow trucks parked in labe and no one enforced rules. Could have been fire code violation don’t know if fire truck could drive thru. Office only open normal business hours not late evening so not rv traveler accommodating for evening arrivals this isn’t printed on reservations only check in and out times. Website facilities photos obviously when new as now older and roofline gutter damaged in at least one spot. Did not notice constant frequent security patrol. Saw a police car once.
Sep 02, 2024 · H. YeeThe place was great. It's about as good as sitting in the middle of a parking lot. People are awesome No problems, but don't expect to camp. As it's just a parking lot with parking places, a sewage hookup, water lines and nothing else. The facilities are nice. The bathrooms are good. The toilets worked. The showers were clean. The kids liked it, but there's absolutely nothing to do. Besides park, your camper and use the bathroom
Apr 14, 2025 · EdoggI stayed for a week for work. The bathrooms (the showers were warm) and property was clean, I did not use the laundry, but it looked clean. I reserved online and had no problems checking in. It’s simple, keep in mind it is basically a large parking lot and festival ground, so if you go when an event happens, there will be some noise. They had a dog walking area complete with poop bag stations around the lot.
