Based on customer reviews, Woodson Bridge RV Park offers both significant advantages and a potential environmental consideration. One reviewer highlights the prime location, stating, "being on the river is a huge plus!" This suggests that guests can enjoy direct access to the river, which may offer opportunities for fishing, boating, scenic views, and a generally tranquil environment. The same reviewer also mentions the presence of "lots of full timers," indicating that Woodson Bridge RV Park caters to long-term residents as well as potentially short-term visitors, fostering a sense of community.
A notable feature mentioned by this reviewer is the availability of a "full sized kitchen," which was described as a "life saver for me as someone who loves to cook!" This amenity is not commonly found in standard RV parks and suggests that Woodson Bridge RV Park may offer unique facilities that enhance the comfort and convenience of its guests, particularly those staying for longer durations or who prefer to prepare their own meals.
However, the same reviewer also recounts an initial negative experience with the manager, Pam, mentioning "some major issues with the manager Pam my first week staying…was able to get with the owner Richard to discuss the mistreatment from his staff." This feedback raises a concern about potential inconsistencies in staff interactions. On a positive note, the reviewer praises the owner, Richard, for his prompt and effective response, stating, "He quickly responded and had me feeling 100% better. He handled the situation perfectly and made it to where I never had to deal with Pam." This indicates that while there may have been an issue with one staff member, the owner appears to be responsive to guest concerns and willing to take appropriate action to ensure a positive experience.
Another reviewer echoes the appreciation for the park's scenic location, noting "Very pretty view of the river lots of trees. . very nice park." This reinforces the appeal of Woodson Bridge RV Park for those seeking a visually pleasant and natural setting. The mention of "lots of trees" suggests that the park may offer shade and a more natural, less barren environment, which can be particularly desirable during the warmer months in California.
However, this second reviewer also points out a significant environmental consideration, stating, "Only bad thing is it floods from the high water level from the river when it rains too long." This is a crucial piece of information for potential guests to be aware of, especially during periods of heavy or prolonged rainfall. The risk of flooding due to the park's proximity to the river could potentially impact access, safety, and the overall enjoyment of a stay at Woodson Bridge RV Park. It would be prudent for prospective visitors to inquire about the park's flood history, any precautions or procedures in place during high water levels, and to monitor weather forecasts, especially during the rainy season.
Based on these reviews, key features and aspects of Woodson Bridge RV Park include:
- Riverside location: Offering potential for scenic views and river access.
- Full-sized kitchen availability: A unique amenity that may be particularly appealing for longer stays and those who enjoy cooking.
- Long-term residents: Suggesting a stable community within the park.
- Responsive owner: The owner, Richard, appears to be attentive to guest concerns and willing to address issues.
- Pretty views and trees: Contributing to a pleasant and natural environment.
However, it is also important to note:
- Potential for management issues: One review mentions a negative experience with a staff member, although the owner addressed it.
- Risk of flooding: The park is susceptible to flooding from the river during prolonged heavy rains, which could impact stays.
While the reviews provide insights into the location, some amenities, and a potential environmental concern, they do not offer extensive details about other standard services and features typically found in RV parks. These may include:
- RV sites with hookups: It is implied that full hookups are available given the mention of long-term stays, but prospective guests should confirm the specifics (electricity amperage, water, sewer).
- Waste disposal services.
- Potable water access.
- Laundry facilities (not mentioned in reviews).
- Restroom and shower facilities (not mentioned in reviews).
- Wi-Fi access (not mentioned in reviews).
The environment of Woodson Bridge RV Park is clearly defined by its riverside location, offering scenic beauty and potential river-related activities. The presence of mature trees adds to the aesthetic appeal. However, the risk of flooding is a significant environmental factor that potential guests must consider.
Given the positive aspects of the riverside location and the unique full-sized kitchen amenity, Woodson Bridge RV Park could be appealing to local users seeking a longer-term stay or those who value cooking facilities and river access. The owner's responsiveness to concerns is also a positive indicator. However, the potential for management issues with staff (as per one review) and, more importantly, the risk of flooding are factors that require careful consideration.
The provided reviews do not contain any specific promotional information or special offers. Local users interested in staying at Woodson Bridge RV Park are encouraged to contact the park directly at (530) 839-2151 or +1 530-839-2151 to inquire about current site availability, rental rates, hookup specifics, policies regarding flooding, and any potential discounts for longer stays. It would also be prudent to ask about the current management situation and any measures in place to ensure a positive guest experience.
In conclusion, Woodson Bridge RV Park in Corning, CA, offers a unique riverside setting with the notable amenity of a full-sized kitchen. The presence of long-term residents suggests a stable community. While the owner appears responsive to guest issues, there has been a report of a negative interaction with a staff member. Critically, the park is susceptible to flooding from the river during prolonged heavy rains, which is a significant factor for potential visitors to consider. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" with river access and unique amenities, Woodson Bridge RV Park presents an option, but thorough communication with the park regarding management and flood risks is strongly recommended before booking a stay.

Jan 22, 2025 · Larrina SalvaThis is the kind of place where the site you get makes a huge difference. Ours, 5, was riverside and huge, some are tiny enough to deserve 2 stars. We actually ended up here by accident, for the first time ever someone was in our site when we got there! Said he's a friend of the owners and decided to stay for free for another day, and no one told the office 🤦♂️But man, those sunsets! 😱 And otters!Amazingly friendly staff who even delivered our Amazon order to our site😊, quiet park, and friendly residents. Lots of older, permanent rigs, some in need of repair right at the entrance kill the curb appeal. Some trees need to be pruned, tight access roads. 30amp FHU that was fair but did trip occasionally. Good water pressure. Great Verizon and Starlink coverage.
Oct 31, 2023 · Glen BadgerRestroom was huge and so clean. We set up right on the riverbank. Watched blue herons and other fishermen for hours. Incredibly easy to go hiking @ Black Butte Lake and the Upper Bidwell Park. Staff was amazing! Loaning tools, helping figure out the laundry, and providing free lemons and oranges from their trees. December may be a slower time, but it was the best time for us! Definitely coming back!
Dec 16, 2023 · Beth GallupThis place is amazing. We are Camp Fire survivors and they took us in and have done their upmost to help all of us. They went as far as setting up a donation center (closed now) and even feeding us for a quite some time. On Christmas they gathered us for a lovely Christmas dinner and provided full stockings for the children. The park itself is wonderful. Good river access is within walking distance and nothing can beat the view from our space. We even have a family of river otters who swim and play just down the embankment from our spot!
