Arrowhead Campground Introduce
For local residents and travelers seeking a "camping near me" experience in the popular Wisconsin Dells area, Arrowhead Campground, located at W1530 Arrowhead Rd, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965, USA, offers a range of amenities and a welcoming community atmosphere. You can reach them at (608) 254-7344 or +1 608-254-7344 for inquiries and reservations. Based on customer reviews, this campground boasts an exceptional pool area, friendly staff and seasonal residents, and various accommodation options, although some aspects like cabin size and campsite levelness may vary.
The environment of Arrowhead Campground is highlighted by its impressive pool area, described as "one of the nicest outdoor pool areas" a reviewer had ever experienced. This suggests a well-designed and maintained aquatic facility that serves as a central hub for recreation and relaxation. The pool area is divided into two sections: a deeper pool suitable for jumping and a shallow area perfect for children to play safely. This thoughtful design caters to a wide range of age groups and swimming abilities, making it a significant attraction for families. While the overall natural environment of the campground (e.g., trees, landscape) is not extensively detailed, the focus on the pool area suggests a resort-style amenity that enhances the guest experience.
Arrowhead Campground offers various services and features to accommodate different types of campers. While a large portion of the campground is dedicated to seasonal campers, transient sites are also available. One reviewer noted that their assigned site was "ok" but not the most level for parking, indicating that site quality might vary. However, the friendliness of the seasonal campers is consistently praised, with reports of them being "all friendly," "super inviting," and "welcoming," contributing to a strong sense of community within the campground. One guest was even invited to a neighbor's birthday party, highlighting the social atmosphere.
For those seeking cabin accommodations, Arrowhead Campground offers an 8-person deluxe cabin. While described as "very clean," a reviewer noted that it is quite small, particularly for larger groups with belongings. Even with a party of four, space was limited. The bunk beds in the cabin were also mentioned as potentially uncomfortable and positioned in a way that could lead to accidental bumps. This suggests that while the cabins are clean, they might be best suited for smaller groups or those traveling light.
The campground offers a range of amenities, which is considered a "plus" by one reviewer. Beyond the exceptional pool area, specific amenities are not detailed in the provided reviews, but the mention of a "lot of amenities" suggests that guests can expect more than just basic camping facilities. It's worth noting that one reviewer mentioned the pool heater being broken during their stay, which temporarily impacted their ability to enjoy that amenity. Potential guests may want to inquire about the operational status of key amenities, especially during off-peak seasons.
The staff at Arrowhead Campground receive high praise, with descriptions such as "amazing," "extremely friendly," and "helpful." Positive interactions with staff can significantly enhance the overall guest experience, and Arrowhead Campground seems to excel in this area. Additionally, the cleaning lady is specifically mentioned as "fantastic," reinforcing the campground's commitment to cleanliness, at least in certain areas.
Regarding the cleanliness of the shower areas, one review suggests that issues reported by others might stem from the behavior of guests not cleaning up after themselves rather than a lack of effort from the campground staff. This highlights the importance of responsible guest behavior in maintaining clean shared facilities. The reviewer proposed that either guests need to be more considerate or the staff would need to increase cleaning frequency.
The pet-friendly nature of Arrowhead Campground is also a plus, with one reviewer mentioning that their dog even made friends, further emphasizing the welcoming and social environment.
Based on the customer reviews, the features of Arrowhead Campground include:
- An exceptionally nice outdoor pool area with a deep end and a shallow children's area.
- Clean facilities, including a "fantastic" cleaning lady.
- Friendly and helpful staff members.

Arrowhead Campground Reviews
The things that makes this place great start with the pool area. It is once of the nicest outdoor pool areas I have ever been in. It was clean and consisted of two areas. One that was a deep pool for jumping in and one that was shallow to allow kids a place to play. The site we had was ok, I have been in a better site as far as a level place to park . I will mention that a large portion of this campground are for seasonal. Though all of the seasonal campers were all friendly.
Mar 28, 2025 · Jason SchulteMy family stayed in the 8 person deluxe cabin. It was very clean. However it is very small. You can fit 8 people but you cannot fit 8 people and their belongings. We had 4 people and couldn’t even fit our belongings comfortably. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and my kids kept smacking their heads in the bunk beds every time they moved around because it’s such a small area. Everyone was so exhausted from the lack of sleep due to the uncomfortable sleeping accommodations so we ended up checking out 2 days early. The campground has a lot of amenities which is a plus. The pool heater was broken so unfortunately we couldn’t really enjoy that amenity. The cleaning lady is fantastic. Other reviews complain about dirty shower areas but in all honesty that is an issue with the guests not the campground. The guests are just leaving their hair and garbage lay on the bottom of the shower and walking away instead of cleaning up after themselves. The 2 ways to fix this is people start becoming decent human beings and clean up after themselves or staff will have to clean the showers multiple times a day. Other staff members are also amazing. They are all extremely friendly and helpful. We spoke with multiple seasonal guests and they are all super inviting and welcoming. We were even invited to our neighbors 60th birthday party. Our dog even made friends. Super nice people at this campground. We liked this campground so much that we are looking into becoming seasonal members.
Jun 11, 2024 · Theresa RomanowskiBEWARE- STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAMPGROUND!!!DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE A PENNY. They will falsely accuse you of setting off fireworks that are coming from the speedway, erratically driving your car that has not been moved in days, speeding in a golf cart that doesn’t reach 12 mph and double charge your credit card while accusing you of not paying for a campsite despite proof of a paid receipt.Extremely disgusted and disappointed by the vile staff at Arrowhead Campground. My family and I arrived on 8/1 for a tent site rental for three nights. Upon checking in, everything seemed “normal”. The front desk confirmed our reservations and charged our credit cards for the full amount and sent us on our way. We set up our sites and made ourselves a peaceful little home.Little did we know, on 8/3 things would take a frightening turn. While sitting around the campfire and enjoying each others company, we were interrupted by flashing lights that accompanied the campground security and Sheriff police. The campground security officer, Dylan, approached us first. He was sent to evict us by “management” and demanded that we leave the premises immediately. We were accused of several false and fabricated “complaints” that held no proof and simply did not make any sense. When asked why no one ever warned us about the alleged complaints he couldn’t provide us with answers. We were extremely confused since we had several pleasant conversations in passing with Pam, the manager, throughout our stay. We refused to pack up our site and leave in the dead of night and demanded to speak to the person in charge. At this point, we are all petrified. The Arrowhead staff was not listening to a word we were saying and had clearly mistaken us for another family staying on the campground. Luckily, there was a levelheaded female sheriff on scene that took control of the situation. The Sheriff listened to us and could see and feel our genuine fear and concern. She took a few minutes to assess the situation and speak with the security guard privately. After several minutes of stalling, the campground security officer and sheriff emerge with Hayley. Hayley is the nastiest human you could ever meet. She is what scary campground stories should be about. Hayley needs to be banned from working with humans. Hayley couldn’t provide any proof to any claims and instead made the entire incident about her and how she had to leave her home to come out and evict us. We pleaded for proof of the fabricated claims but Hayley would just get aggressive and backtrack and only bring up how she was being inconvenienced outside her work hours. We calmly provided evidence of common sense to their alleged accusations but Hayley was too ignorant to listen. There was ZERO legitimacy to any of the accusations. After a senseless conversation, the Sheriff informed us that we could stay the night but we wouldn’t be able to use any of the paid facilities (shower and bathrooms) and we would have to be gone first thing in the morning. Completely unacceptable and unfair.Hours later, at about 1am, the campground security stops by to inform us that this was all a big misunderstanding and Hayley was WRONG and has no authority to enforce any rules or can make any decisions. He said that we in fact did not receive any complaints and this was all a big mistake. Each false accusation miraculously had an excuse. Pathetic. How disgusting. We were disparaged for…nothing. Hayley is pathetic. The entire Arrowhead Campground staff is pathetic. They should all be ashamed of themselves for the way they treated us. We left completely traumatized. Our children witnessed all of this and are now left with an awful memory of discrimination instead of a nice family camping trip. Do better or don’t run a business at all. Fire Hayley and get some proper training for the additional staff members to prevent this from happening again.
Aug 06, 2024 · Susan ArriazaOur experience at Arrowhead Campground wasn't my favorite travel experience. I am not someone who typically writes negative reviews — but I think my experience could be truly helpful and beneficial for fellow families to know before booking! :-)For a family reunion, my husband, our 1-year-old daughter, and I rented an 8-person cabin — while our extended family members rented their own cabins. While we had expected a campground experience, we were disappointed in what we had received for the money we had spent. (Our 2-night stay was over $600.)First, our cabin was very dirty. The floor hadn't been swept or cleaned, and our feet turned black upon walking in. This was especially concerning for us, as our 1-year-old is currently crawling and not yet walking — so the floor serves as her play area. Luckily, we had purchased an outdoor pop-up play area for our trip — which we then used inside our cabin, simply so she could play in a clean space.Next, our cabin was extremely small. We had believed, because we rented an 8-person cabin, there would certainly be room for two adults and one toddler — especially because the campground advertising focuses on having family-friendly amenities. The cabin was so small, our daughter's pack 'n play would only fit wedged between the bed and dresser in the primary room. (Luckily, the bars on her pack 'n play created enough space for breathability.) We were very concerned we wouldn't be able to create a safe sleep environment for her and discussed perhaps staying in a hotel. For her to sleep well, we sleep in separate rooms — so my husband and I slept on the pull-out sofa in the living area. (The bunk room was so small we couldn't even maneuver ourselves, so we used the bunk room solely as storage.) The pull-out sofa mattress was concave, so we placed pillows in the center of the bed, so we wouldn't roll to the center.Lastly, our cabin completely lacked hot water. (For our entire stay, we never had a drop of hot water.) We were unable to bathe our baby — or ourselves — for the entire weekend. We asked the front desk to please help ensure our hot water was in working order, and we didn't receive any further communication about the matter, so we are unsure of whether someone had ever come to look at our hot water. All this to say, we had expected a campground experience (mosquitos, campfires) — but our cabin's lack of cleanliness, lack of hot water, and lack of space for 3 people, though it had been advertised for 8 people, made our weekend really challenging and uncomfortable. For over $600, we had hoped for more value — and for those "basics" (cleanliness, water, space to sleep) to be covered.I hope this review is helpful for any future small families like my own who consider staying at Arrowhead Campground.
Jul 15, 2024 · Kelly ZugayArrowhead RV Campground. Very quiet. Most sites are permanent. Ladies in the office were awesome. We had a couple issues they solved right away for us. There were a lot of anthills, which the maintenance guy sprayed...after a couple days. The laundryroom...soso. We chose to go elsewhere. Big pool area. Restroom/showers not great shape, but they keep it clean.
