Aug 08, 2022 · Maria LoeffelI use to have a trailer at this camp ground for years. It really is a great camp ground . They have their own store with all the essentials. Plenty of trailer spaces on the river. It's an Amazing tubing river As well the townsend dam opens up. I believe it's once a day and you're able to tube down. the river is not very deep, mostly shallows, but just enough water to Go.now. It's a good 2 hour float from the d*** down to the bald mountain campground, it's great. They have a club house too.Where quite a few different organizations put on like square Dance. Etc. Bathrooms are always kept neat and clean. Highly recommend this little gem.
Jun 24, 2024 · Sheri Bennett-styckiewiczReserved a site so I could hike Bald Mountain. Was told to drive around until I found a site I liked. Granted it's late in the season but that's unheard of. The firewood was cheap and plentiful and the staff was friendly.
