Camp Sinawa Reviews
I really enjoyed my time at Camp Sinawa, spending the days hiking and biking in the area. The cabin was cozy and clean, the lake was beautiful, and the sunrises were absolutely stunning. There were plenty of scenic hiking trails to explore. I'm looking forward to coming back with more family members to share this wonderful place!
Apr 12, 2025 · Alisha ArnoldI love Camp Sinawa. My friends group rents out the camp about once a month and the rangers have been amazing to work with for years. The place is rustic, but that isn't code for "falling apart" or "moldy." Not every building has AC, but they all have electricity (and heat in the winter!) and they're lovely wood-paneled cabins with sturdy bunks and plenty of space. If we tell the ranger about a maintenance problem, it's fixed by our next visit. It's often fixed within a few hours while we're still there. They are constantly doing improvements and upgrades to keep the place in good shape. There are a few very friendly barn cats on site that are much beloved in our group. The camp is deep in the woods, but still conveniently close to town if you forgot something. Of all the various summer camp/rustic resort type places I've been, Sinawa is my favorite and the rangers obviously take a lot of pride and joy in keeping it beautiful.
Apr 07, 2024 · Rachel KlikaA lovely, chill place to relax for a week or weekend. The main hall has a number of games as well as a large, well-equipped industrial kitchen for large groups. There are multiple cabins that suit any size group from 2 to 12 people and a dorm with 24 sleeping spots arranged in 6 clusters of 4 bunks. The buildings have always been clean, and the on-site owners are a delight -friendly and welcoming and just genuinely kind people. I've been to Sinawa multiple times over the past couple of years, and Sara and the team have clearly put work into improving the camp. (I especially love the new, quieter heaters in the cabins.)There are also a couple of outdoor-only cats who roam around and are very affectionate.
Apr 08, 2024 · Amber VergauwenCamp Sinawa is such a great site with cozy and constantly improving cabins. A great view of the lake with a little beach, lots of fire pits and rec areas so you don't feel on top of everyone else. It also has a full kitchen that's great for events, a shared hall with games and lots of seating. Bonus points for the several disc golf baskets scattered around site!
Apr 08, 2024 · Luke HudsonA group that I'm part of rents Camp Sinewa once a month for a gaming event that we do, so I have spent a fair bit of time here. The buildings are all comfortable and well maintained. Hot water and nice indoor bathrooms are a major improvement over many other camps around the region. The site is regularly maintained and improved, so physical infrastructure of things like the staircases on the trails are all in great shape. There are some very nice trails for going away from the buildings and into the trees.I'm not the one for our group who is in charge of dealing with the booking, but have been told by that person that the rangers in charge are great and easy to work with.Highly recommend Camp Sinewa.
