This suggests that the campground is situated within or in close proximity to areas offering well-maintained and engaging hiking trails. Beyond the established campsites, Campsite #3 also caters to a more adventurous spirit with "great out of the way spots for primitive campers." This is a significant feature for those who truly want to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and immerse themselves in a more rugged natural setting. Primitive camping typically involves minimal amenities, offering a more self-sufficient and intimate experience with the outdoors. If you value solitude and the challenge of setting up camp in a more natural environment, Campsite #3 provides designated areas to fulfill this desire. This option broadens the appeal of the campground, attracting both those who prefer the convenience of developed campsites and those who seek a more authentic wilderness experience close to Prichard.
The positive experiences at Campsite #3 extend beyond its natural environment and facilities. Multiple reviews highlight the exceptional service provided by the campground staff. Sherry, Jay, Carlos, and the rest of the crew are repeatedly praised for their friendly and helpful demeanor. One reviewer affectionately refers to the campground community as the "Creek Bank Family," emphasizing the welcoming and familial atmosphere fostered by the staff. They are described as taking care of the campers with a smile and are deeply appreciated by the regular visitors. This personal touch and dedication to customer satisfaction can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, creating a sense of belonging and ensuring that campers feel well-supported during their stay. Knowing that there is a friendly and helpful team on-site can provide peace of mind and contribute to a more enjoyable and relaxing getaway.
The sense of community fostered at Campsite #3 is another notable feature. The repeated mention of the "Creek Bank Family" suggests that the campground attracts a loyal clientele who value the social aspect of camping as much as the natural surroundings. This could translate to opportunities for meeting like-minded individuals, sharing camping stories, and perhaps even participating in informal gatherings. For those seeking more than just a place to pitch a tent, the strong sense of community at Campsite #3 can be a significant draw, transforming a simple camping trip into a more enriching and socially connected experience.
While the overwhelmingly positive reviews paint a picture of an excellent local camping destination, one reviewer does mention a minor drawback: "the proximity to the interstate, which can be heard in the background at all times." It's important to acknowledge this piece of objective feedback. Depending on your sensitivity to noise, the distant hum of traffic might be a consideration. However, the reviewer themselves qualifies this by stating, "It's a very small negative to an otherwise great spot to spend a weekend." This suggests that while the interstate noise is present, it is not significant enough to detract from the overall positive experience for many campers. It's a trade-off to consider given the campground's convenient location near Prichard.

I love hiking, and this park scratches my itch on the weekends I can't travel far. There are some great out of the way spots for primitive campers as well. The ONLY downside to the park is the proximity to the interstate, which can be heard in the background at all times. It's a very small negative to an otherwise great spot to spend a weekend.
