Feb 16, 2025 · Josh MyerOur family had a fantastic stay at Live Oak Landing from April 28 to May 12, 2024. This campground has so much to offer, and it was a memorable experience in every way.Upon arrival the staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to share helpful recommendations for exploring the area. Their hospitality made our stay even better, and we appreciated how welcoming they were.We were in site 23, a cozy concrete back-in with full hook-ups, a concrete patio with a picnic table, and beautifully groomed grass all around, giving us a peaceful ambiance. Our site was well-kept and spacious enough to park our truck and car side-by-side in front of our 5th wheel. The park amenities include a bathhouse, laundry facilities, an event pavilion, a fishing pier, a catch-and-release fishing pond, and a boat ramp. The park is pet friendly though there is no enclosed dog park, there are plenty of beautiful areas to walk your pets and enjoy nature. The park does accept packages that are delivered to the office for pick-up.This location is ideal for those who love nature and outdoor activities. From fishing, kayaking along the water, playing on the disc golf course, or walking around the 4 miles of hiking trails and soaking in the beautiful scenery and local wildlife. We enjoyed seeing the baby duckies by the fishing pond. One highlight of our stay was an unexpected friend—a duck we ended up naming Mr. Quackers! We noticed him wandering around the campground, and after a couple of days, I decided to set out a bowl of water for him. Mr. Quackers quickly became my little buddy, and I spent hours keeping him company, enjoying his calm presence. This simple connection with him made our visit feel even more special and added a unique, heartwarming memory to our trip. I wish I could go back and see him. I miss him so much!Located about 30 miles from downtown Mobile and approximately 55 miles from the pristine white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, Live Oak Landing is ideally situated for exploring southern Alabama. The 175-acre park sits along the Tensaw River and offers a balance of tranquility and easy access to nearby attractions. If you do plan on visiting Mobile, you should do one of the Bienville Bites Food Tour, we did the downtown tour and had the best time EVER!!We were blessed to witness and enjoy the unexpected jaw-dropping Northern lights during our stay, what an unforgettable experience. I was able to catch the beautiful sunset during the northern lights, but unfortunately, I wasn’t lucky enough to get a late-night view.Live Oak Landing exceeded our expectations, with its comfortable sites, beautiful natural surroundings, various activities to enjoy, and my ducky friend Mr. Quackers! It’s a great place to stay, and I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you were looking to stay in the Stockton, Alabama area!
Nov 04, 2024 · MARY ANGUIANOThis was a beautiful campground. Large lots with level pads. It was very quiet. The bath house and restrooms were exceptionally clean. It was very close to a nice boat launch with area for fishing. They have disc golf, which we didn’t try because it was extremely hot the weekend we were there. There is not a lot for small children to do. The yellow flies were bad this time of year, but only on the trails, not in the campground. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend.
Jun 17, 2024 · Geri LewandowskiWalking trails are muddy with large areas holding water because county employees are driving trucks on trails. The pond smells like sewerage. And it drains into river polluting the river. The county commissioner over this district is destroying rural north Baldwin county with the overdevelopment of new subdivisions and sewer systems that will spill into streams and rivers. Time to vote him out
