Easily reachable at (860) 376-0029 or +1 860-376-0029, this campground has garnered positive reviews for its secluded environment, friendly owners, impeccably clean facilities, and spacious campsites, making it an ideal destination for those seeking peace and relaxation.
The environment of Countryside Campground lives up to its name, offering a peaceful and quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle. Reviewers consistently describe it as "nice" and "secluded," emphasizing the tranquility that permeates the campground. The "countryside setting" suggests a natural ambiance, possibly surrounded by open fields, woodlands, or other scenic elements that contribute to a sense of escape and serenity. For local users looking to immerse themselves in a calm and natural environment, Countryside Campground appears to be an excellent choice.
One of the standout features repeatedly praised in the reviews is the exceptional hospitality of the owners. The "great owners" and their family members are described as "friendly and welcoming," creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for guests. One reviewer recounted an instance where the owners went above and beyond by checking on their dog and taking her outside while the campers were unexpectedly at the ER, highlighting their thoughtfulness and genuine care for their guests. This level of personalized attention and kindness can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, making guests feel valued and well-cared for.
Countryside Campground is also lauded for its cleanliness and maintenance. The campground is described as "impeccably clean and well maintained," and set in a "park-like setting." This suggests that the grounds are carefully looked after, contributing to a pleasant and comfortable environment for all campers. Local users who appreciate well-kept facilities will likely find Countryside Campground to their liking.
The campsites themselves are another notable feature, described as "very large." Spacious sites offer greater privacy and comfort, allowing campers more room to set up their equipment and enjoy their outdoor space without feeling cramped. One reviewer specifically mentioned a "quiet pull-thru" site where they had no neighbors in front of them for their entire five-day stay, indicating the availability of well-designed and potentially secluded spots for RVs and other camping setups.
In terms of services, the reviews provide some insights. Water and electric hookups are mentioned as working fine, which are essential amenities for RV campers. While one reviewer noted that WiFi was inconsistent and they relied on their own hotspot, the availability of basic utilities is a plus. It is advisable for local users who require reliable internet access to inquire about the current WiFi situation when booking.
A significant bonus feature of Countryside Campground is the presence of "hiking trails at the back of the property." This offers campers the convenience of exploring nature directly from the campground without needing to travel to separate trailheads. The availability of hiking trails adds recreational value for those who enjoy walking and immersing themselves in the natural surroundings.
Furthermore, Countryside Campground is described as "dog friendly," making it an excellent choice for local pet owners who wish to bring their furry companions on their camping trips. Knowing that pets are welcome can be a significant factor for many campers when choosing a location.
Promotional information is not explicitly stated in the reviews. However, the overwhelmingly positive feedback from repeat visitors and first-timers alike serves as a strong implicit promotion. The high recommendations based on the peaceful environment, friendly owners, cleanliness, spacious sites, and additional perks like hiking trails and pet-friendliness are compelling reasons for local users to consider Countryside Campground for their next "camping near me" experience. The fact that one reviewer decided to return after a previous stay speaks volumes about the positive impression the campground made.
To obtain more specific information about campsite availability, pricing, detailed amenity information (including the current status of WiFi), trail specifics, pet policies, and any potential seasonal promotions, local users are encouraged to contact Countryside Campground directly via phone. The friendly owners, as highlighted in the reviews, will likely be happy to provide all necessary details and assist with bookings. Given the consistently positive experiences shared by others, Countryside Campground appears to be a gem offering peace, quiet, and genuine hospitality for those seeking a local camping retreat.
In conclusion, Countryside Campground in Jewett City, CT, stands out as an exceptional "camping near me" option for local residents. Countryside Campground Reviews
We stayed here once before and decided to come back because it’s such a nice, secluded campground with great owners. The lady owner escorted us back to a quiet pull-thru where we had no one in front of us for the 5 days we were there. The water and electric worked fine. WiFi was inconsistent but we used our own hotspot. We had to go to the ER one day and so we left a key to our coach at the office. Turns out, they came by and not only looked in on our dog but took her outside and made sure she was taken care of. Very thoughtful of them and unexpected. Highly recommended.
Jul 27, 2023 · Steve SThis place is such a gem. If you are looking for the ultimate peace and quiet in a countryside setting, this is your place. The owners and their family members were all so friendly and welcoming. Impeccably clean and well maintained park-like setting with very large sites. Bonus: hiking trails at the back of the property. Double bonus: dog friendly. We absolutely loved our stay here.
Jun 20, 2022 · Elizabeth GannonWe love Countryside. There are basics: sewer, electric, water. Internet is spotty. There are few amenities - no activities for kids. That being said, if you are a quiet family or couple, and want a relaxing, beautiful, woodsy site for any size RV, this place is perfect. Our 47' toy hauler fits beautifully, and the site is spacious. It really is a gorgeous area. The road driving in is a little awkward, but it is drivable and manageable.
Apr 25, 2022 · Hop Pin And GoWell, it's 2023 and we are back for another visit. Still loving this campground!!! Here's our pup near the pond...such a beautiful spot!!!Such a beautiful, quiet and clean campground. Dog friendly and sites are spaced with lots of room and privacy. We will definitely be back!!
Jul 01, 2023 · Dee PattieI have gone to many campgrounds, and this is by far one of the best, its also beautifully maintained and clean. The sites are big, you are not on top of each other. The seasonal campers are awesome. They have so many beautiful sites. The owners are great. If you like a quiet peaceful scene. This is the place to go, also if you want to have some action, The casinos and shows are twenty minutes away. It's the best of both worlds. my husband and I love it and highly recommend it!
