Creekside Campground Introduce
Are you searching for a delightful "camping near me" experience in the scenic Shenandoah Valley? Look no further than Creekside Campground, nestled at 108 Palmyra Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824, USA. You can easily reach them at (540) 984-4299 or their mobile number +1 540-984-4299 to plan your relaxing escape. Creekside Campground, as its name suggests, offers a unique camping environment centered around a peaceful stream, providing a tranquil backdrop for your outdoor adventure. Based on customer reviews, this campground stands out for its friendly atmosphere, reasonable rates, and the soothing presence of the adjacent creek, making it a highly recommended destination for those seeking a refreshing and enjoyable camping experience in Virginia.
The environment of Creekside Campground is a significant highlight, with the presence of a "very peaceful stream" being a recurring positive mention in customer reviews. Imagine waking up to the gentle sounds of flowing water and enjoying the serene ambiance right next to your campsite. This creekside setting likely offers opportunities for relaxation, perhaps enjoying the natural beauty from your campsite or even engaging in gentle water-related activities if permitted and safe. While the campsites are noted to be "pretty tight right next to each other," the proximity to the stream seemingly compensates for this, creating a unique and desirable camping environment. The campground's location near Edinburg places it within the broader context of the Shenandoah Valley, renowned for its picturesque landscapes, rolling hills, and access to various natural attractions. While the immediate surroundings are characterized by the creek, campers can likely expect to be within a reasonable distance of hiking trails, scenic overlooks, and other outdoor recreational opportunities that the Shenandoah Valley has to offer. The mention of it being "not far from 81" suggests convenient access for travelers while still maintaining a sense of peaceful seclusion by the creek.
The services at Creekside Campground appear to prioritize creating a positive and convenient experience for guests. The consistent praise for the "very polite" and "friendly staff" indicates a welcoming and helpful management team that contributes significantly to the overall atmosphere. While specific amenities are not exhaustively listed, the presence of staff suggests that assistance and information are readily available. The mention of "reasonable rates" is a significant service in itself, making Creekside Campground an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers seeking value for their money. While not explicitly stated, basic campground services such as water access (likely at communal spigots), waste disposal, and potentially restroom facilities can be reasonably expected at a campground of this nature. The positive reviews do not mention any lack of essential services, implying that the campground adequately meets the basic needs of its guests. It's always advisable to confirm specific amenities when booking, but the existing feedback suggests a well-managed campground focused on customer satisfaction.
The features of Creekside Campground contribute to its unique appeal. The most prominent feature is undoubtedly the creekside location of the campsites, offering a tranquil and scenic backdrop. The level nature of most campsites is another practical feature, making it easier to set up tents or park RVs. However, it's important to note the reviewer's comment about site 10 being "a little down hill," indicating that while most sites are level, some variation might exist. The campground's suitability for different types of camping setups is also a feature worth noting. While one reviewer with a 36ft bumper-pull camper enjoyed their stay, another with a 30ft Class C mentioned that the road leading to the campground is "narrow," suggesting that it might not be ideal for very large rigs. This implies that Creekside Campground is well-suited for smaller to medium-sized RVs and tent campers. The overall "awesome" and "great" atmosphere, as described by multiple reviewers, is a significant intangible feature that speaks to the welcoming and enjoyable environment fostered at the campground. The recommendation as a good value further highlights its appeal.
Specific promotional information for Creekside Campground was not included in the provided reviews. However, local users interested in staying at Creekside Campground should consider several avenues to potentially find deals or special offers. Calling them directly at (540) 984-4299 or +1 540-984-4299 is a good first step to inquire about any current promotions, seasonal rates, or discounts for longer stays. Many smaller campgrounds might not have extensive online promotional campaigns but may offer better rates for direct bookings or extended stays. It's also worth checking online travel and camping review platforms, as some campgrounds occasionally list special offers on their profiles. Given the positive feedback regarding its value, Creekside Campground already appears to be reasonably priced. Local residents might also inquire about any local resident discounts if applicable. Booking in advance, especially during peak camping seasons, is generally recommended to secure a spot, particularly given the mention of campsites being "pretty tight." By contacting the campground directly, you can get the most up-to-date information on pricing and any available promotions to make your "camping near me" experience at Creekside Campground even more affordable.
In conclusion, Creekside Campground in Edinburg, VA, offers a charming and peaceful "camping near me" experience centered around a beautiful stream. The positive reviews highlight its friendly staff, reasonable rates, and the soothing ambiance of the creekside setting. While campsites are noted to be somewhat close together and the access road might be narrow for very large RVs, it appears to be an ideal destination for tent campers and those with smaller to medium-sized RVs. The level campsites and overall welcoming atmosphere contribute to a highly recommended camping option in the Shenandoah Valley. Local users seeking a relaxing getaway with the calming sounds of nature should definitely consider contacting Creekside Campground at (540) 984-4299 to book their stay and inquire about any potential promotions for a memorable "camping near me" experience.

Creekside Campground Reviews
*** Don't follow Google Maps! Follow the directions in your booking confirmation email!! ***This place is amazing, and we love it!We have a 36ft bumper-pull camper, and we love this campground. The spots are pretty tight right next to each other, but you're literally right next to a very peaceful stream, so it makes up for it!The staff is very polite, the rates are very reasonable, and overall the atmosphere is just awesome. Everyone was super nice, and we'll absolutely go back here again!Highly recommended!
Apr 20, 2025 · Jacob BierbaumNice campground on the creek. Not far from 81.Small and down a narrow road so not ideal for very large rigs. Perfect for a overnight in our 30ft class C. Most of the sites are level. We picked site 10 that is a little down hill. Good value.
Apr 17, 2025 · Rich BenjaminEnjoyed our one night stay here at Creekside Campground. Front desk staff was cordial and accommodating of our late check-in which we really appreciated. The road coming into the campground is narrow with rather tight corners. Our F-250 and 24' pull-behind had to squeak by in some places. The area is charming and the location is very peaceful with the cheery brook bubbling past.
Dec 10, 2024 · Bethany HaleWe were very happy with our experience at Creekside Campground from Oct 11 to Oct 14, 2024. It is a small privately owned campground that is right on the water which makes for awesome camp ambiance! We had site 30, which was one of the end ones and more separated from the others in the "body" of the campground. We were very pleased with that spot. The bathrooms were very up-to-date and the most modern I have seen at any campgrounds where we've stayed. We walked to Sal's Italian Bistro for dinner and were treated to excellent food and service. Highly recommend! If we return to this area, we would definitely stay at Creekside again. It is a beautiful area!
Oct 17, 2024 · Linda D'AngeloWe came by on the recommendation of a friend, and we were not disappointed. What was supposed to be a night or 2 turned into a week. Creekside is small, but so wonderfully quite and pleasant. We just didn't want to leave. The staff work well together to assist and help with any problem you may have (we had some doozies!).Special note - do Not come thru Edinburg to Palmyra Rd. It is steep & narrow. Take Main Str (Rte 9) east to Palmyra Church Rd, turn left. Follow thru neighborhood to campground. It's so much easier to navigate. We were glad our friend gave us that advice. Also, Beans' BBQ is only open 10 -2 and sells out fast. Go early.
